if your card supports it, update to directx 10. and this is going to sound wierd but update the sound drivers if possible. then do a disc clean up and defrag.

i honestly see it as a coding nightmare. it really doesn't take that long to build up prestige. all you have to do to get started is have a couple people put alts in to get the bonus for 15 people and go for it. playing earns prestige and you don't have to shut off sg mode because you still earn infl/inf while in sg mode all the way to and including lv 50. if you are worried about the infl/inf part of sg mode, sell what you drop at the market instead of vendors.

Quote:thats funny but when i use a heal that uses a target to work, i make sure i have at least 2 accuracy io's in. then the misses are far and few between. i run a rad/sonic def and all sorts of different blasters and corrs and very seldomley come across any problem. what everyone has to do is change their tactics from the run in and kill everything to actually using a little finess when on a squishy toon.Glad to oblige.
Say I'm running a toggle that is blanketing my targets in a yucky black cloud that makes them miss. A lot. Then I get stunned, and the yucky black cloud she's a go "poof" and they start hitting me again. It takes suprisingly few of those hits to be dead. Sure, my self heal can keep me alive, if it hits. Suprisingly how often those "ifs" can come home to roost. I always seem to come up with the fuzzy end of the 5% chance. -
not sure if it has anything to do with windows 7, but it looks like your video and sound drivers have bad installs.
-
make sure your video card fan isn't on it's way out. alot of FPS problems have been due to this and i have experienced this myself.
-
what you may have to do is save your toons to a folder then uninstall the mids you have and download the latest version.
-
and all it takes is a breakfree to turn him back into a super hero. of course, fi you actually target the mezzer first then you don't have to worry about eating a breakfree.
-
you don't need the -cov at the end. all you need is the -project coh.

remove the game from the drive the OS is on and install it in another drive. there may be a conflict with having it installed in the same place as the OS. if that doesn't work then yeah, contact support.
-
you need to post a Hijackthis report also. do a disc clean up and defrag everything. also try a scan disc.
-
i don't really know if it is just going to be me saying this, but i was confused as all hell terying to understand this. it seems alot more complicated then what is in place now.

Quote:yeah i forgot to say: give the FKSM to both factions.1) Reinstate holes in zone geometry and allow for drones to be pulled away from base so that expert zone farmers may utilize them as a means to farm hero's more efficiently.
2) Reward villains that are capable of leaping past the drones into hero base by allowing them to use the teleporter to zone into paragon city. A zone alert will then sound in Atlas park that Villains have penetrated the firewall and for civilians to seek immediate cover. -
Quote:ok then. go for it. find me a post where they have said that they are against farming. you can't and you won't. and trying to say that because they said they didn't want AE to be used for farming will not work. they knew it would be used for farming and they have stated that they were against farming the exploits, which were removed already.
The DEVs aren't pro-farming. I would like to see a quote where they say that they are. They have said all along that they are against farming because it decreases the longevity of play for some players because they find it boring. When the AE was released, they initially made it clear that they did not want the AE used as a Farming or Power-leveling tool.
Practically everyone that has been around the forums since the AE release knows about Positron's "ten-ton hammer" speech about the AE.
Now I can't easily track down those old - but clearly anti-farming posts by the DEVs, but I know you can't find one that says that the DEVs are pro-farming. -
Quote:it will still take a while for the prices to come down so he can still make some profit off of them.Unless the drop rate fix and AE tweaks cause supply to continue to rise and prices to fall to their I13 level of around 25M. It'll be interesting to see.
Good luck Smurphy!
*crosses fingers for smurphy. -
Quote:no you wouldn't be able to. as said many times before, if the devs put a cap at the market then people would take their sales underground and be pulling in more then they are now. why you ask? because it is the buyer that sets the price. the buyer is the one who decides what they pay for an item. all the seller would have to do at that point is announce they were selling something and that would start people offering anything and everything including thier 1-5 born children to buy that item. price caps are bad bad bad bad bad. patience is good good good good good.Who are you talking to? I'm all about helping the casual players. Or at least, well, one casual player. That being me, of course. I'm not even casual enough to purple my warshade, but I'm sure if the devs would give us sufficiently low price caps, I would soon be able to.

Oh the mods heard us and the bad version of this thread was deleted it seems
oh, and another suggestion... make LRM a FKSM(fightklubber seeking missle) that is a 1 shot killer. that is all for now. more ideas to come later. -
Quote:the devs have never said that subscriptions were down. they did say that they were up. eveyone feeding into this, "the servers need to be merged" ideal have all forgotten what the servers look like at this time of yr. this is a dead horse that should be left alone and not beaten anymore as it really is starting to make the place stink up from the rotting flesh. if you would like to see explanations as to why it would seem server population is down then go to one of the other umpteen threads like this one and read them. i see no real change in server pops from the same time as last yr. come the halloween event the servers will look like they used to again. There are several ways to go about this. I think the easiest is to give anyone who has multiple name issues at the time the new system is initiated, a server tag. Basicly, if someone else has the same name, you'll each get the name of your original server tagged above your head. Kinda like your title or selected badge title. No new people would be aloud to use this name, but it would allow people to keep the names they have, with very minor inconvenience.
Also, people say this is a bad business decision and would kill the transfer income, but this isn't really just about people wanting to be on more populated servers anymore. This game has lost ridiculous amounts of players over the last few months. In my 4 years I've never seen it this dead. Hopefully GR will breath new life into the game, but if not....well older games have to adapt. If our new population is half of what it once was, then it is a smart decision to do something new with the server situation. -
the only way i can think of is if you put it in an sg the day you made it. the sg join date will be the same as the creation date.

Quote:and this raises the question of what happens when you have toon names that are the same? whether it be your own toons or someone elses toon on another server. i really don't want to have to change my name or have a number added to the end.I'd like a system that keeps our servers, but allows to play on any of those servers at any time with any of your characters. Basically, you'd have all your character slots on one page when you log in. After selecting what character you want to play, or creating a new character, you's move on to the server selection page. You would see the total number of people logged in to each server, and could choose accordingly. People who want to always choose their "home" server could do so with no real change to them, while those who want to choose a server with high population could choose whichever server was most populated at that point in time.
We would still have our servers, we'd just use them a bit differently. -
the patch that is being put to live tomorrow should be fixing the drop rates.

i'm going to guess he is on Infinity from reading through some of his past posts.

Quote:i'm sorry, but i haven't seen any more then 1 other person say they have problems soloing on a squishy with normal content. i have never had a problem soloing a squishy unless i was set to highest diff and wasn't paying attention and i can count the times on one hand. i have no problem running missions at any diff with almost any of my squishies. as many people here have stated also about themslelves. take some of the 6-8 greens and 4-5 reds or blues you have in your insp tray and make a break free or 2. or change your tactics/play style.
And... we get people ignoring many, many instances of people saying there is problems soloing normal content. Even downgraded bosses are still a PITA with their mezzing. -
if it makes you feel any better tech, i got -rep for asking if anyone else played online poker and if they did what site they used. and i asked that in the for fun section under the comic and hero/villian culture where we talk about anything under the sun.
edit: in fact here is the comment-- This game isn't about poker. i laughed hard when i read that and thought about some of the things that are talked about in that section. -
actually, one of my sg members dropped 5 in the span of 3 days. 3 one night and 1 each nite after. i know it probably doesn't mean much but i think that is about right to what the drops used to be before the mess up that insued when i15 came out.
