the event is going on until the end of the month...

to translate what fleet said: NO THANKS.
-
so instead of waiting, stop the download and get rid of anything that has downloaded to this point and try again. it should have only taken about 3 hrs or less to download and be playable. you aren't trying to download anything else at the same time are you? or maybe have your virus protection on while downloading? anyways before you start the download again, do a disc clean up and defrag first.
-
if you have the disc for the game, or have a family/friend who lives close and has one you can use, use it. it is not a 1 time use disc. do not put in the activation code again though. all you have to do is tell it you have an account already.
reason for suggesting this is that i have never been able to download from the website and have anything work. -
no, you have to wait for 15 mins to change your build due to almost all of your powers being reset after you switch builds. this is so that things like the mission tp and other things that are meant to be on a long recharge are working as intended and not being exploited. maybe it is possible that you made the same build on both or you just haven't made a second build and thought you did.
-
you honestly only need 4 powers out of dark and one of those is a heal. if you want the stealth toggle pick it up but you don't have to. i have a db/da scrapper that i run once in a while that has 5 powers from da, but also has an extra toggle or 2 due to tough and cj, and i don't really have any issues at all unless i don't stop for a sec to eat a blue or rest for 10 secs.

Quote:and calling the devs lazy and dumb is not the way to get them to look at anything either. it is not a bug. deal with it.Just because they're too lazy to do something doesn't mean it's not a bug. The NPC's are not working in line with the current mez system. This is clear, and obviously not intended. They may be too dumb to figure out how to change it, but that doesn't mean it's ok.
They're too dumb to fix placate for like 5 years too. But we can all admit that's a bug, right? -
then you and doc should keep this talk to yourselves in private messages or private chat in game. if you don't want other people talking about it then don't make it public.
-
are you waiting the 15 mins that you have to wait to switch in between builds? if you do not wait it will not change builds and you will respec the other you don't want to.
-
to get around the redraw issue: ma/traps mix or dm/traps mix.

martial arts: yes
trick arrow: yes
martial arrow: no. way to much animation work needed to be done. and i don't really think a set like that would be all that hot. -
honestly, infinity is dead. most if not all of the PvP'ers have moved to freedom and don't plan on looking back. it is just to dead. i will mention it to some of the peeps i PvP with as some of us have left at least 1 of each faction on infinity for PvP/PvE and see if they want to but i can't gaurantee anything.
-
hate to tell ya, but 90% of the responses, if not 100%, have come from PvP'ers. and as one of the PvP'ers, i can tell you from experience that no matter what you do to PvP, those that do not want to do so are not going to. and what pyro is talking about with making everything even is exactly what the devs tried to do with i13 and look at the results. people didn't go into PvP, people left the game. moral of the story, if you do not PvP 100% of the time, do not make suggestions to change PvP. that is how we have the craptastic system we have now.

Quote:first, walls of text suck ***. learn to space paragraphs.Ok Forbin_Project. Let me tell you that I have been playing City since June of 2004 so I know how the enhancements work. What I am suggesting is that as you run around doing missions and you level up at your milestone levels 12,17,22,27,32,37,42, and 47 you can purchase the next level of enhancements all at once so if you hit level 12 for example and you are already decked out with all training enhancements with a single click you can upgrade all enhancements to Dual Origin for the price it would cost you to purchase all of them without having to sit there at the store for several minutes purchasing them and placing them. I personally would not need to do this because I generally do not mess with enhancements until at least level 12 anyway however it is just an example. The next example is that you hit level 27 when you can start using level 30 enhancements. You run to a store or the Wentworths and with a click you can either purchase an replace all enhancements with level 30 Single Origin for the price it would cost to purchase them or you could replace them all with level 30 Invention Origin enhancements for the price it would cost you to purchase the recipes at the university + the cost of all needed salvage+ the crafting cost without having to run around spending several hours/days trying to do it manually. Some people do not care about getting the "best price" and since the amount of subscribed players that are actually playing is down right now it is sometimes hard to find enhancements so this would be a way to do it in a fast and easy matter if you did not want to deal with the hassle of haggling and crafting and influence/infamy was no object to you. And I am sure that the system I am proposing would show you the price to upgrade before charging you so you could see if it was an amount you are willing to pay. If you want to sit at the Wentworths for a week waiting to see if you can get that one level 35 standard invention origin recipe for fly speed for only 10000 then go right ahead however some of us like to just upgrade and then return to doing missions, task forces, etc. and we gain enough influence that it is no big deal to drop a few million to upgrade to all level 35 or level 40 standard IOs. I do not know why there are so many people on the boards that decide to just /unsign everything they see without considering an alternative to the way things are. I have been subscribed to this game since June of 2004 and never had a lapse in my account. I have seen every single issue be announced and unvieled. This game has improved greatly since then through suggestions just like this one. I for one do not enjoy the crafting part of the game. It is boring and frustrating and I know I am not the only person that feels that way. It would be nice to be able to upgrade your entire loadout of enhancements in a more quick and easy fashion than we have today. Most other MMOs you may upgrade by getting a new shield or weapon and then you are on your way but you do not have to spend hours purchasing if you can find them upgrades for accuracy/damage/range/endurance Reducers/etc. It is great that we have such a grandular system however it is also very time consuming to upgrade. I am just throwing out a suggestion to make that process more streamlined for those of us who dislike crafting so much.
second, io's don't expire like to's,do's and so's so there is no need to upgrade those every 5 lv's so they have no place in this suggestion.
third, it takes all of 15 mins to enhance a toon with to's, do's, so's. 20 when you hit lv 40 on. -
make sure the fan on the card is working. i have an 8600 that i have to take a can of dust cleaner to to get it to work.

Quote:see, here is your problem, you don't know how to listen to people that have been continuously playing rather then taking time off and comming back. PvP recipes were a big try to drag people into PvP but it didn't work. equalizing everyone in the debotchery that was i13 didn't bring new people. would you like to know why? i guess i'll explain again...the main reason it isn't coming back is because not only are some people being so freakin negative about it but a few get anti pvp because they have a bad experience and try to poke holes in even the best ideas... the sad part is when they start tryin to poke holes where there aren't any... 98% of what i hear is someone saying hey look if you look at only this sentance you're wrong.... but then when you point out where you explained/fixed that already they just come back with well you're wrong if you only look at this sentance... seriously get a life....
this game is not about PvP, never was. if people DO NOT want to PvP they are not going to and nothing you can do will make them. you need to learn how to accept that not everyone is going to jump on your idea and call you all sorts of wonderful things for it. of course you also seem to think that by some miracle this would be easy to implement which it would NOT be. it would be a nightmare and take more of the devs time then i'm sure they would want to spend on something that might get used by another .05% of the population.
while i would like to see improvements to PvP, they just aren't going to happen anytime soon and i'm sure they won't be anywhere near as complex as this. -
happy run around in your burfday suit day.....
-
i'm telling you it is a problem with your motherboard. i had the same exact issues with my comp.
-
when that happened to me i found out it was my motherboard. if that is the case, replace it and get yourself a UPS box to plug your comp into.
-
hi. not the area for this. suggestions and ideas is down another section in "For Fun".
-
you will tend to notice it go off more when standing around versus fighting.
-
you already posted this in another thread. there was no need for this to be re-posted in a separate thread.

adding rewards didn't do anything for PvP other then make it a death fest. if people do not want to PvP they are NOT going to no matter how attractive you make PvP. as for changing animations... do you understand exactly how much work would have to be put in to make sure that those animations worked with every power in the game?
also it is not the goal that makes PvP broken. it is the changes that were made without taking into account what the PvP community thought that broke PvP.
when suggesting rewards being added to something you have to keep in mind that they have to be available for eveyone and not everyone is going to give a hoot about PvP. as long as that remains constant the devs will not make changes. it isn't worth the time to program to them. -
it only has a 5% chance to go off. best way to watch it is to observe your damage in your combat attributes. you can keep an eye on it by right clicking on damage and clicking mointor damage.
