  1. there are more then enough ways to get around. your whining about taking a few mins out of your day to craft something is just that, a whine.

it is no ones fault for not checking your inventory but your's.

there is a natural store right near the market in st. martial that will buy that salvage for the same price as the magic store.

travel in this game is pretty easy. i do not see a need for this, nor does it make sense.
  2. ww/bm teleporter.

and how exactly do you get an item from a screen or phone again?

    now for you other points:

go to a different ww/bm. use the teleporter if need be.

delete the common io's or the junk set stuff.

any one of your nearest contacts or your base.

again, how do you recieve things from a computer screen or phone?

because the 5 seconds it takes to go from the ww to university in steel or the bm to university in cap or bm to abandoned lab in st. martial is just to much.
  3. what Bill said. plus we will be able to see the last objective(s) on our maps come i17.

and 2. As a way to drop the amount of inf.
this will not do what you want it to. it will not remove enough of the infl/inf from the system. there are a small handfull of people who would use this and i can guarantee that will have no impact on inflation.

Then, any ranged animations for the set use only the gun hand, and any melee animations use only the katana hand.
thats what i was wondering and trying to get him to say. that would be doable now.
  6. in other words... it would have to be something like the gunblade from FF. if not it would require redraw. the closest thing i can think of in game that we have now are Nemesis. and they have shooting and melee attacks that come from a gun with a big ol' bayonet on it.

    That involves slashes and gunshots
and an aweful lot of redraw.

...my image on my 22' Widescreen...
lol, if i hadn't been paying attention i would have been really jealous about a 22 foot widescreen. i know you meant 22 inch(")

i second having another monitor to test it with or take it to a friend/family member to try that one.
  9. click on start, or the windows emblem in the bottom left of your screen. go to all programs, then to accessories then to system tools. from there you can do a disc clean up and a defrag after that is done. then you need to find out who manufactured the video card chip set and download the newest drivers from their site. and update your operating system also if it hasn't been doing it by itself.
  10. i suggest doing so. it will make a big difference.
  11. there are no 4 legged models in this game. that is why this is undoable. while an interesting idea, i don't see it happening.

i almost think something like this could be done with 2 legged creatures to give it an animalistic feeling, but again, i'm not gonna hold my breath...
  12. it happens from time to time. nothing to worry about. it comes back after a few minuets.
  13. i hate to say it but, you may need a fresh install of the operating system. sounds like a bad virus. before doing this though, see if someone can look at it for you.
  14. when was the last time you updated drivers, did a disc clean up and defrag?

besides not being able to trade between hero and villians right now and merits/tickets/vangaurd merits, what kind of anything is not tradeable?

    Market revamp

MacSkull, you're right that I don't have hard data on my observations, but I have been playing this game for a bit and I'm familiar with the way the market works. What I've seen is a distinct trend that I wanted to mention. I have to admit that I don't care to spend a few weeks using the in-game market interface to do a rigorous plotting of price trends over time, and I don't have access to any hard historical data, so it wouldn't make much of a difference in presenting a solid logical argument.

It would also seem that a search for information on how drops are weighted would be pointless because you tell me that they aren't weighted at all. Paragon Wiki seems to disagree with you, but that's between you two.

You state that the Devs consider the Market to be a form of PvP, which is fine, but you seem to think that this exempts it from any form of balancing effort. Considering the huge lengths that the Devs have gone to balance PvP combat, I think that your suggestion is flawed.

And probably the idea that the market is purely a form of PvP is flawed. If the devs truly think that it is all it is, then why don't they open it up between Heroes and Villains? Who cares if one side has resources far in excess of the other, that's just life, isn't it? Anyone with enough drive should be able to get what they need, right?

The thing is that the market is supposed to be a way to improve player enjoyment. That means all players, not just the ones that get their jollies off of finding an opponent and smashing them. I'm certainly happy to make my oodles of money selling stuff at ludicrous prices to people who are desperate for a specific recipe, but it is far more important to me to maintain and possibly increase the membership base so I have people with which I can do the WANTED socialization (in contrast to the unwanted kind).

But, no, I don't think that my suggestions are the most reasonable. I'm a software engineer, but I don't know what their code can do. I just don't think that it's fair to ***** and moan about something without presenting a possible solution. If you care to contribute positively to this conversation (as opposed to just whacking down my ideas with a curt "you should know better, but you don't, so here's a knuckle sandwich instead"), then I'd welcome your input. In the mean time, I'll go do a quick survey of recipe availability to show you what I mean.
the flaw in your argument is that you are saying that the market is needed to playthe game. it is not. it is a mini game in itself. the devs will not step in to do anything to the market.

i find it funny how more of these types of posts pop up after double xp weekends.
  18. this is just a bad idea. all it will do is have people screaming about not getting any rewards and/or wanting to do their real characters this way. just because it is in another game is not a good reason for CoX to do it.
  19. so, if i can't earn any rewards at all why would i, want this and why would the devs waste time working on this? i see no point in this.
  20. bases will get some love. there was a dev post about it somewhere within the last day or so. but please understand that bases are probably the most easily broken thing in the game and i can understand why it takes so long to implement base lovin.
  21. well, if buffing is annoying to those that play it, the simple answer is DON'T play them... /endsarcasm.

But, I also know my limitations and I don't get myself into prolonged fights solo. If I want to fight an AV or GM I bring friends.

On topic, I like upper level content better than lower levels but I don't think I want this.
to quote Babs, "did you just use casual player and purpled out warshade in the same sentence?"
  23. final word: absolutely NO level bumps on live. in any way shape or form. that is all.
  24. what happens when everyone is out of range of the buffs? and the only buffs i can think of that are tedious to keep reapplying is kin buffs. and at a cost of 45.5, if you only get 1 person with it it defeats the purpose.
  25. i remeber one time going through cap, i ran past a ludite minion who was saying something about a PS3. i laughed so hard i nearly fell out of my chair.
