Quote:you can already manage your enhancements when dead though. it's called right click and delete. depending on your origin and the contact arc you chose, you aren't going to get anything you can use 60% of the time anyways. and if you bought what you needed and didn't slot it before hand that is your fault not the games.Being dead doesn't seem to prevent you from chatting with your mates, trading inspirations and enhancements and watching your powers recharge, it doesn't prevent you from seeing your map, it doesn't prevent you from reading your clues and I'm pretty sure it doesn't prevent you from speaking with contacts. If we're going by what makes sense, if all of the above do, then shouldn't managing your enhancements make sense when you're dead, too?
-
bases are not the way to do it either. get of this hoarding thing, you are doing it yourself. while not an idea i would like to see implemented, i think one way to combat it is to lower what the vendors buy stuff for and increase what they sell things for. this pushes more things to the market and effectively lowers prices.
-
i'm getting sick of sounding like a broken record, and i wish the devs would stop this lame track of thinking they have about adding just villian content without adding hero content, but red side needs more to do before anything else is done to hero side. plain and simple. as for discouraging speed runs and letting red side run the same sf without DR, good luck. never going to happen because of the uproar we would hear from the hero side.
simple and best solution: give red side more sf/trials without giving blue side anything. it won't hurt anybody. if not that then increase the merits the sf's give by 25-35%. -
it still doesn't do anything for the inflation. he wants to have a PvP build, ok. he wants to get enhancements for it free, ok. now what happens when he gets a PvP drop? he makes a ton of cash. now he more cash then he would have had he had to purchase his io's for PvP which means that high prices are still being paid for io's to PvE because we know that a PvP person is going to twink their toon for PvE so they don't have to spend as long doing that to accolade for PvP.
the only cure for the inflation would have been for the Devs to hold off the AE until it was a complete exploit free system. with the prices the way they are, i think the last exploit with the mm's was around a lot longer then we think. and there are probably more still going that we just haven't heard about yet. -
so what happened to the other 4-8 hours of the day? i only see 16-20 covered in your post.
-
been that way for the 3 yrs i've been playing.
-
i've always gone to ST. Martial at lv 30. i personally can't stand Nerva just because of the travel. i hate having to go all the way to the top of the map for missions. and it seems like every mish you get is there lol.
-
problem is... you are DEAD! how many things other than lie there can you do while you are dead? and no, i don't get why you can hand off insps while dead. that doesn't make sense either.

Quote:what tokyo is saying/doing is what is refered to as the pot calling the kettle black. he wants to tax everyone so that they don't hoard stuff but knows that he will still be able to get around the system so that he may hoard stuff. if he would sell what he has and uses the market the way it is suppossed to be used, by placing a bid and waiting, he could get the same enhancement cheaper then what he sold it for when he didn't need it. or he may even drop it again which makes it free to him again. Please expalin how somone deciding that they wish to keep their own property and use it at a later time instead of selling it now and having to buy it later at an even higher price is screwing everyone else.
he wants to battle inflation but has no idea what it really is. go read his posts over the last few pages. you'll see what we are talking about. -
sorry umbral, didn't mean to step on your toes, or your's leo, if i have. i went with what i saw was the core of both suggestions and applied what the devs have done when changes have been made to powers. as far as tankers having to spend more end to get the same effect as a scrapper, they should. scrappers give up some survivablility for more damage and tanks give up some damage for more survivability.
while i agree that something needs to be done, i don't think the dev's will do anything until they have a solid idea that will not break the tank in any way. -
i would just like to add in that my fire/ss tank disagrees with your look at tanks leo. i have no problem killing almost as fast as anyone else solo or on a team. i also have no real end issues. like i said earlier, tanks and defenders are more geared towards team play. hence why their inherents really only kick in on a team.
if a tanker were to get any kind of damage boost through gauntlet, the base damage would be changed. and not the good way. if it were implemented as umbral suggests, by giving an end discount, the endurance costs would be slightly raised i think, but his idea doesn't promote teaming which is a bad thing.
i just don't think there really is much they can do to the inherent to make it both solo friendly and team friendly at the same time without something else suffering. -
Quote:i had it happen to me when i was on a numina. it was a zombie raid. those dead guys just have no consideration...
...sucks if you're running a Numina TF though. -
Quote:never going to happen. the dev's have stated that we are lucky to be able to save any at all. don't hold your breath on this one.
Increasing the number of enhancement slots for storage during respec would also be a huge QoL upgrade, but one thing at a time. -
Quote:so, it's ok to screw everyone else as long as you can still get around the system? you talk about people hoarding and yet you are doing it yourself with enhancements that are in high demand. i think you need to jump off of the train your on and get on the right one cause this type of thinking gets you ignored.
I'm offering suggestions on how to get money out of the system and make it difficult for people to hoard. There will always be those people like myself that will be able to work around the system. -
-
and i'll answer you the same way i did in the other thread, you can not run all of the hero tf/trials in one day. well, any "normal" or "casual" player would not be able to. that is what the game is balanced around. not the hard core go to sleep for an hour then play 23 hours people.
-
Quote:this wasnt an issue until after the AE was implemented. and hoarding is not helping aleviate the shortage on the markets. And this is my point. I apologies if you don't see being able to store infamy and influence past the cap as contributing to money that isn't leaving the system...your ignorance isn't my problem.
Make me...
If you think me selling my enhancements is going to fix the inflation problem... You're misinformed. -

Quote:borrowed from lemur so he wouldn't have to rewrite this:How about this: SFs can be done 2 or 3x per day without penalty?
Quote:Because people who want to run both red and blue side TFs in the same day will be able to in a few months. There's no point in trying to even out the red side/blue side differential because soon there won't be one for people who don't want to deal with it. -
-
Quote:the best way to correct it would be to raise the merits an sf gives out. but since that isn't going to happen, the only other way to appease everyone is to add more sf/trial to red side.I agree that the proposed idea is bad. I was taking issue more with your "just ask for more" SF's initial answer, as though it hadn't been asked countless times before.
I think the OP's idea was more an acceptance (right or wrong) that there won't be more SF's coming (or at least SF's coming that aren't co-op or brought along with a corresponding TF) from the devs and was proposing this as a workaround. It's not an idea that I can endorse, but I can see why someone would propose something other than more SF's/trials in order to correct the perceived imbalance in merit gains. -
it is not the simplest way to do anything. removing restrictions from one side will only get the other side in an uproar. and probably alot of threats of people quitting.
-
because his idea will create more problems then doing any good. we all know that red side suffers and is hated, but if we don't ask for more stuff we won't get it. this idea is bad. really bad.
-
you have no idea what inflation actually is do you? inflation is when there is more money being made then can leave the system. getting around a cap is something that has been going on for a while now. way before AE was introduced. and guess what, there was no real spike in prices before then.
and as one of the people who cry about things not being on the market, you certainly are doing your part at making sure these things aren't available now. if you don't need them sell them. you would be suprised how much difference putting something on the market makes rather then hoarding something and complaining that there is nothing.
