Quote:we can already do this at the market. 22 for sale right now. 175-200 mil. i do like the infl/inf sink idea though.Although this would make the respec recipes slightly redundant, why not just have it so you have a flat purchase price in game for a respec in the 175 million influence/infamy range?
This would do two things, A. make respecs more available in the game for those that have already used up their other respecs since respec recipe drops are fairly rare, and B. create an influence sink for those willing to spend the money on lots of respecs. -
Quote:because it makes no sense to give out all the info on something if it isn't going to work correctly and have to pull it last minuet.its clear however new powers = kick ***
Will my blaster get def.
will my fire tank get more aoe
will my mace tank get some aoe or since hes invun even more resist?
will my fire kin get more aoe
will my blaster get even more dmg
so many questions so little info why posi why do this to us -
Quote:k, that makes sense. It's only for the same account. I believe it was said at a panel, so I don't think there's anything to find.
Simply put: Once a character name is yours on a server, you can use it as many times as you want. Thus, I could create 5 more CapnGeists on Pinnacle, but nobody else could make any, because the name is mine. -
hmm.... i think i like this idea. but if you don't use a power that puts the weapon away between each shot you will have some major issues with redraw.
-
it won't work with the models we have due to attachment points and costume pieces. that is the basics of it but someone will be along to give the full explanation.
-
please find the post. i do not see how this will work unless it is only for the same account. i can't imagine they would do this so that there could be 100 "Bob" toons running around on the same server at the same time.
-
the only way it will work is if it is actually a PlayNC card. an actual Aion card will not work with CoH.
-
Quote:coming off as an *** won't work. and just because it works in another MMO does not mean it will work here. if you think this will work on any AT in this game you are painfully mistaken. and if you want to pay your hard earned infamy to a bunch of npc mobs you will find yourself broke with almost no way of enhancing outside of what you drop. but then if you do that you won't have anything to pay off the next mob. This is some good feedback. I think you built nicely on it and I wouldn't mind this set. I kinda figured that my steal would be a no go but I'm glad you seemed to like bribe and payoff
BBQ_Pork:
Oh, I'm sorry. Theives are only allowed in swords and sorcery MMOs? I must've been confused but I guess you're right and there's absolutely no way to make a modern day theif. In fact, when do you ever see a villain in a comic book ever steal something? I mean, it's not like we have other elements already that swords and sorcery MMOs have. Maybe when we get broadswords and shields and Bows and dual blades and all that jazz that those fancy swords and sorcery MMOs have I'll bring up this powerset again. -
Quote:look umbral, i don't know who **** in your wheaties, but there is no reason why the devs can't give red side some love without giving blue side any. and seeing as how there is a merit descrepency it would make sense to increase the merits that sf's give.I'm getting sick of sounding like a broken record, and I wish that crybaby villside exclusive players would stop this lame track of thinking that there is any logical reason why villains should receive exclusive design time for any reason. Plain and simple. Blueside has been around for years longer and received the full attention of Cryptic for a very long period of time before CoV even existed.
The disparity between blue and redside was going to happen simply because CoV was released in a state commensurate with CoH when it was first released. If you actually look at what's been added to the game, it's been an almost entirely even split between what heroes have gotten and villains have gotten. The reason for the even split is that the devs have taken the intelligent step of supporting both of their "games", the new and the old one, equally.
What you're forgetting is that it's going to hurt blueside because you're forcibly asking for blueside to stagnate while the devs focus on giving stuff exclusively to villside.
Asking for SF rewards is similarly stupid because TF/SFs are based on average completion time, not on how much you can make in a day. Villside content rewards less specifically because they were designed to account of player complaints that revolved around blueside TFs being too long. You don't get to have the more compact SFs and better rewards for time. -
phil, let me just start by saying, go read the stuff about i17 and Going Rogue. some of the things you are talking about are already comming. as for storing recipes, you all ready can in the form of a made enhancement. and insps, all you have to do is set the permissions on the storage unit, if you are the base super leader. and we will be able to email infl/inf to our own toons. and for end game, we are getting something that is end game like. and please do not speak for everyone. you are not everyone.
as far as names, they run a script from time to time that removes names of toons that have not been played in a while or are not past a certain level. they haven't done it in a while but i'm sure they are getting ready to do it again. for now though, all it takes is some imagination and a thesuaras. -

Quote:i look at them like one of those books where you choose your own path. if i want to do the new contact stuff i will. if i want to stick with the old contact i will. i like having a choice. i think what i would rather see is the mission drop be reduced to 1 day instead of 3.They should either be covered in the tutorial, or be made optional missions.
I've done radio/paper missions, recieved a contact, gone to visit them and got no less than 3 damn fedex missions in a row...and then the contact expires! Usually without giving me a new contact!
/Signed. These missions are many things but helpful, to anyone, is NOT one of them. -
to bad. there is a constant influx of new players that have no idea about the game or anything. these missions are meant for them. you do not have to do them. do radio missions instead until you get past those.

Quote:the sf/tf/trials were not meant to be speed runs. the only way you should be able to do all of them is if it is a weekend and you have absolutely no life.Except that's simply not true, and you just proved it yourself. 9 hours is significantly less than 18 hours. There is not "enough villain content available" to avoid the DR clock. There is ample hero content to do so, however.
So one side or the other of this issue needs to be fixed. -
check amazon and ebay. i got 2 of them off of ebay for $20 a piece.

Quote:wrong place for this. and yes, it is 2 different set of rules. there are going to be more changes made but who knows what will happen.I'm not sure if this fits here or not but I'm posting my random thoughts.
I don't PVP in this game thought I would like to. The problem like many I don't like the PVP rules. Why?
Well the basic is this from level 1-14 I learn a the game mechanics. I get used to said powers how they perform. What they can do to said foes.
Then level 15 and going into Bloody Bay. WHAT THE HELL! What I spent getting used to changes. It's a whole new system to get used to.
Much like driving when someone learns to drive an Automatic transmission and then they sit into a Manual Transmission car. This change is what bothers me I simply don't enjoy the changing systems when going from a PVE to a PVP Zone. Yes people had said the technical flaws in PVP I'm not going to bother with that.
Really who does? It's how it FEELS how it PLAYS and the mentality we players get from it. The way it seems to me is we have not one City of Heroes/Villains but Two. The PVE CoX and the PVP CoX.
Okay this Rant is over. Am I wrong? -
Quote:what???I'm pretty sure this is one of the reason coh doesn't have as many players as we do. We have a lot but I've read an article about coh saying. "How many times have you had to save the police chief's daughter from gang war" or something like that. The missions really do get repetitive. I don't know. We just need some sort of change
-
this is exactly why we can have as many alts as we want(well, up to 360 or so). to bad, so sad..never gonna happen.
-
ok, i spewed soda on my keyboard i laughed so hard.
-
you need to make sure your power supply is going to put out enough power to run both and the rest of your comp at the same time.
-
if i save it and then run it that way, will i lose all my builds i have from the last one or will it overwrite the old one and save the builds?
-
arrrgghhh. well, at least i didn't say i was sure it was coming out in july.
i just read the announcement and it doesn't say but seeing as how closed beta started at the beggining of the month, i would say probably the end of april beggining of may.
-
i17 will be coming out with GR in july i believe.
