This is not something that is overdone in his "Star Trek (in name only)" film either. Even J.J. Abrams has admitted to his overuse of lens flares in his films. Oh, and lol.

100% agree. In my experience Regen is still vastly outshined by SR and SD on iTrials and I would go so far as to say normal content as well. It's a great set pre-20. After that, it just outlives its usefulness IMO.

Even if the darn thing is just a mining ship there's a lot of stuff that's far in advance of what the Romulans currently had.
That would be the intelligent thing to do, and since the writers are not that imaginative, they went with what little "plot" (if you can call it that) they came up with.

At least God didn't have mindnumbing, blinding lens flares every 3 seconds. Not to mention, ST V answered the burning question of why Captain Kirk was climbing a mountain.

Most, not all. Spock was a capable commander in his own right with many years more experience. Spinning it doesn't make it any less of a weak plot concept. Promoting Kirk like that cheapens the character IMO.

Thought they boosted Reconstruction as well? All things considered, I much prefer my SR and SD scrappers over my Regen at 50(+).

Regen needs an overhaul IMO. It's great for the early game, but becomes lackluster compared to defense sets later on. Just my 2 inf.

    Nice build though.

No one. It isn't humanly possible. Ricardo Montalban was the only human being capable of being more overdramatic than Shatner.... that's no ordinary feat.

J.J. Abrams and crew don't have it in them to write a decent, original story IMO. I'll be skipping this next film. These flicks are just Star Trek in name only to me.

I just don't think she's going to automatically wear them because as Catwoman she's "supposed" to. As we said Ledger's Joker wore the clown paint to "scare" people. I figure if Hathaway wears the ears it'll be for another reason other than "her character requires it".
    Precisely, thank you.

Leonard Nimoy was in the last Trek movie? Really? I couldn't see him through all the lens flares and camera shakes.

Otherwise I don't really need her to wear them as part of her "expected uniform" unless there's a vaguely-realistic reason for it.
    Exactly.

That line of dialogue had nothing to do with people running around in campy, silly costumes. You will also recall the henchman at the beginning of TDK saying the Joker wore makeup like "warpaint to scare people". He didn't wear the clown makeup to be silly looking.

There are clear visual differences between the body armor worn by Batman in the films vs. the spandex costume in the comics. The suit itself in the Nolan films serves a functional purpose.

Cat ears don't equal camp any more than bat ears. We're probably lucky Nolan didn't get rid of the cape.
They would if they serve no real purpose. Watch Batman Begins again. Both the ears and cape served a functional purpose. The ears hide the microphones/antannae for his listening devices and the cape serves as a gliding device.

Having cat ears for the sake of having cat ears to satiate the comic nerd purist lends nothing to the film and makes the character come off as silly.

In your opinion. Personally, I'd rather Nolan and company stick to their "grounded in reality" theme than start going campy just to satiate hardcore comic nerds.

And Selina Kyle will most likely look like Catwoman. She will just have a costume design that Nolan and crew found acceptable to their vision of the character.

Personally, I'm quite happy to not see her in cat ears. She doesn't need them IMO.

Harvey Dent was essentially always referred to as "Harvey" or "Dent" in TDK. Gordon only referred to him as "Two Face" one time during his brief conversation with Dent in the hospital. It makes sense to me that Selina Kyle will not be referred to as "Catwoman" in this film.

I remember the TV show Manimal. I also remember Automan. Those two shows, much like the original BSG, are remembered by me personally as being cheesy and campy. I don't remember them for being what I would consider quality television.

This isn't unique to the Hulk though. Superman and other characters of their power levels are the same in many respects.
