Quote:We had thought the same thing, but the in-game information for Fist of Tyranny is an 11.50 mag stun. Ghost Widow's Soul Storm is stated in-game as Mag 100 unresistable.I think it ranks up there with GW's 100mag hold of death. Youll need more than 100mag protection to eat it. Most teams go with the high def and toHit debuffs to floor the chance of it hitting and then hoping he doesnt get lucky.
Our stoner last night is built at the defense cap, so even if Reichsman got lucky and actually landed the shot, the stun protection from Granite and Rooted coupled with the buffs he had on him, it should not have stunned him like that. We're inclined to believe this is bugged because the very same action has happened on more than a few occasions now.
Chatting with one of my friends on the TF, he was on his SR scrapper and I noticed he had been stunned as well through stacked Practiced Brawlers. Stacked PB is sufficient to overcome a Mag 11.50 stun too.
It could be possible that the in-game information is incorrect, which would mean this is bugged to that extent. -
Dual Pistols is already slated to be able to change ammo types (different effects), so at some point in the future laser blasts might be added (Robotics MMs have this already).
The problem seems to be is how to do ammo changes for "laser pistols" that make sense. Also, BaBs has made it pretty clear they just want bullets for now. -
We've been running the Kahn Task Force daily and have noticed something odd about Reichsman. His Fist of Tyranny alpha strike is dropping tank toggles in 1 hit. This has happened the last 3 times we have run the TF.
The first time, it happened with my Stone/Axe tank, who had both Granite and Rooted running, backed up by at least 3 stacked Clear Minds and an Emerge break free. I went in to taunt/take the alpha and wham! Granite gets dropped and down for the count.
Initially, we just thought this was bad luck. Then it happened 2 more times in the exact same manner - well buffed tank goes in and is immediately stunned/toggle dropped by Reichsman's first hit.
Last night, it was the same thing. We had a Stone/Stone tank who had both Granite and Rooted running (Granite and Rooted should be more than sufficient stun protection against Fist of Tyranny), coupled with stacked Increased Density from the Kin on the team. Same thing happened... he went in to taunt/take the alpha and was stunned with the first hit. What was even more odd was that although Granite went down immediately, Rooted was still up and running along with the stacked IDs. Our tank had full end so it isn't that Reichsman somehow drained him with the first hit.
We did some checking last night and looking at the numbers in game for Fist of Tyranny, it is a mag 11.50 stun. This puts it well below the protection of Granite/Rooted and the buffs we've had on our tanks.
We'll be running it again this evening and taking some more notes on stats to confirm it, but if someone in QA could take a look at it, it would be appreciated. It seems odd that Reichsman is doing this. -

Quote:I'm not really ready to devote myself to either faction.
So I came up with these.
Fusioneers, feel free to use them. Thanks to Cat, Lt, Kaasha and Umber.

Ooooohh! Who made these? Can they make me one that says "Minis"?? -

Not sure this will be happening in the foreseeable future, if at all.
Read BaBs post here
Quote:He is pretty explicit that any weapons for Dual Pistols fire bullets.Hey gang...I'm looking for suggestions for potential (notice how that word is italicized? Pay attention to it!)new custom weapons for Dual Pistols. But before everyone goes bonkers, lemme lay out a few ground rules.
- They must fire bullets. No ray guys or crossbows.
- They must be able to fire a lot of bullets and use different ammo types...so flintlocks and their ilk are out.
- I'm looking for suggestions that potentially open character concepts. I don't want suggestions for seven different models of Glocks or a half dozen black, composite material, dual action only, semi-autos that all look the same from more than 6 inches away.
- Include links to pictures if possible.
- Post suggestions only. Don't debate, argue, flame, QFE, /jranger, or any of that.
- Not a peep about other weapon powersets
- Not a peep about anything else in the game
- Not a peep about anything else not in the game.
- Not a peep about these rules!
-
For what it's worth, we all had to wait 5+ years for Powerset Customization. This is just my personal opinion, but once base building/raiding is revamped, I belive it will have been worth the wait.

Ok, just to clarify for everyone... Turbo and I aren't getting married for real lol. This is just an in-game thing we are doing because;
- It's always been part of Jade and Turbo's character bios to love each other.
- Turbo has been bugging me for like 3 years now to help him with something in-game, and in order for me to agree, this was one of the demands I came up with (albeit the second most important in my list - and one I originally didn't think he would agree to and hence, stop bugging me lol).
- We've been playing for 5+ years and (at least I am) not rolling many new toons*.
- We've done too many "Master of" TF runs with Turbo that end in phail.
- While it remains something of an enigma, Foley is somehow to blame, along with Sun. Shocker too.
- It's a good way to have fun with the new Walk power.
- Lastly, and most importantly, we as the Triumph community so rarely do anything together anymore. It's been a long time since the last SG Faires, in-game weddings or server wide events. We're trying to work up something fun for everyone. While there is "CoX" lore, we are all part of "Triumph" lore.
* Notes:
* While I swore that my poopy EMP would be my last Defender, I must admit that I'm having a lot of fun playing Mini Emerald Fusion. He's a fun combo (Rad/Energy) and when he uses the /e pushup emote to hump glowies in missions, I just crack up.I'm also working on the ultimate Mini creation (one guess what it is). Wait until you see the emotes on this one lol

Quote:I was more annoyed with his silly Fist of Tyranny toggle dropping my stone tank running granite and rooted, plus stacked CMs and BFs. They've essentially made these "Master of" badges luck of the draw. He's worse than GW in the STF.I'd echo the serious point #4 that the Reichsman is one HUGE sack of hit points, and this is one situation I'd really say some major -regen is (almost) essential.
-
- Remind Turbo he is a noob
- Remind Turbo that, while fun, it is not necessary for a MA/SR scrapper* to solo every mission (see 5 and 6)
- Remind Turbo that Reichsman really is invincible (hence his name being "Invincible Reichsman") in the second mission
- Remind Turbo that massive debuffs (ie. -ToHit, -Regen, -Rech) > Empathy
- Remind Turbo that everyone needs to be in the 4th (Axis America portal) mission so that more than 1 person on the team gets the Dimensional Grounding Ray temp cuz you need to shoot Reichsman with it
- Remind Turbo that there really are ambushes in the 4th mission as well, and he should wait for everyone to be in the mission (especially the tank) so the squishies waiting at the entrance don't get ganked
- Remind Turbo that taunting Reichsman into the little room in the back of his fortress does not prevent him from using his Fist of Tyranny attack
- Remind Turbo that Reichsman's Fist of Tyranny > CMs (stacked with BFs and any other mez protection)
- For good measure, remind Turbo he is a noob
* Side Note:
Mini Turbo Starr > Regular Turbo Starr -
-
Are you sure about that?
As others have pointed out, there are many "superheroes" who use guns or weapons of some fashion. You need to brush up on your comic characters a bit. -
Batman is a Super Hero and has no super powers... so he'd be "natural".
Also, this was the "Natural" set. I'm sure there will be others in the future. -
I have a feeling that you'll see the NR animation (without the speed/leap boost) along with several others in the next round of powerset customization for pools.
-
The Yellow and Green lines will take the citizens wherever they want to go.
This might be a fun idea. Would be interested to see a massive traffic jam build up from a Rikti or Zombie invasion. It could lead to a "Traffic Cop" day job where you have to unclog the traffic jams by directing cars. -

It's funny how life can change in a heartbeat, and we along with it.
When Michael (you all know him as Turbo Starr, I call him Michael) asked me to dinner, I had no idea that this evening was anything beyond our usual "date".
I met Michael over five years ago, not long after the end of the first Rikti war. I remember the day very well. I had just started my residency here at Paragon General Hospital. Michael had brought in several wounded heroes for treatment. Of course, his handsome looks caught my eye right away, yet it was his dedication and sense of self-sacrifice in helping to fight the Rikti that drew me to him. I guess you could say I loved him since the moment I met him. He was, and always has been, an inspiration to me. Were it not for Michael, I would never have become a hero. When he asked me to join Riders of Apocalypse with him, I just couldn't say no. Putting on the cape and tights and helping to save the world alongside the man I love was a dream come true for me.
But I was so young back then, and a just a little naive. We both were. It did not take long for us to realize that our relationship could get in the way of saving the world. There came a time when we had to choose between the ones we love and the fate of the world at large. One day in particular, I made that choice. Michael disagreed with my decision, and it led to our parting of ways; for a while at least. I felt betrayed. I was heartbroken and I blamed him for it. Yet in hindsight, Michael was right. Self-sacrifice is something every hero must be ready to endure for the greater good. Like I said, I was young and a little naive back then. Perhaps it was all too much too soon. Becoming the leader of Riders and a notable hero in his own right had matured Michael. He became much more serious and dedicated to serving the public. Had I known back then what I know now...
So we dated. And dated. And then dated some more. We would get together for dinner or drinks every so often. We'd laugh and talk about the usual things; crime rates, our theories of what Nemesis would try next to dominate the world, Mini Miss Foley's latest forays into the use of "colorful metaphors" (she is so much her mother's "daughter"). I was ok with "just dating", but in my heart I had always wanted more. Call me old fashioned, but I'm one of those who believe in true love. I never gave up hope.
Then he asked me to dinner and took me to my favorite restaurant. It had been a long, long time since we were there. We laughed and we talked and then laughed some more. Of course, I proved I could eat more than him yet again. He said it's my metabolism. I told him I just get plenty of exercise. Believe it or not, chasing after a certain Mini (who has a penchant for burning things and use foul language) to try and get her to clean her room takes a lot of energy. I won't even go into the messes that Shard's pet monkey makes (and I mean everywhere!)
I have to say Michael was very clever... I had no inkling what he was up to throughout dinner. Even when he ordered my favorite dessert, I really had no clue. Then again, I'm always distracted by that handsome smile of his.
I'm embarrassed to say I chowed down on that hot apple crisp topped with vanilla ice cream like it was going out of style... I'm amazed that in my total "oink" moment I didn't eat the ring!
Yet there it was and when I saw it, I froze for a moment, my jaw open. Then, when I looked up at him, he had gotten up from his chair and was on one knee beside me. I was so excited I literally screamed with joy. I don't think anyone actually heard him ask "will you marry me?" over my screaming.
I said yes and started the tears of joy. People in the restaurant were cheering and clapping. I hugged him so tight I don't know how he could breathe. It was the best night of my life and it is my dream come true!
We will decide on a date soon and as Michael said, we hope all of Triumph will come celebrate with us.

Dust off those wedding packs everyone! We'll have details posted soon. -
Quote:I think if you have Imperious following, an ambush spawns right on top of you. This happened a couple of times now. Last time was right at the front entrance... an ambush spawned out of nowhere. On a side note, wonder who coded the last mission where the insta spawns always happen on top of the defender?
I think next run we try to ditch Imperious if we can, or let him get killed by Rom first. -
Quote:Yes it was a very good run. We made good time for it as well. Turbo had mentioned the last mission goes much more smooth if you clear your way to the end. This is the second or third run now where ambush spawns seem to come from nowhere.I didn't get ganked!
Maybe we'll succeed next run. Only 5 defeats isn't that bad of a run, though. Good job everyone.
One thing I noticed is that Imperious could be the aggro culprit for the insta spawns. Might be best to ditch him early on. -

My Mercs/Traps MM is thoroughly enjoying telling her soldiers to "Drop and give her 20" :P Love that these work with pets!

Not entirely sure this is feasible or not, but the thought is something along these lines would be thematically nifty to go with other Robot costume selections....
How about making "Gun Gloves" or hands? Kind of like the ED 209?
Not sure if the existing models will allow for it, but it's worth a shot.
