I'm kind of torn on this one... on one hand, the challenge that Cysts pose is a good thing, yet I've seen a **** ton of them being spawned on ITF's (including Rom) that make him impossible to hit. I guess that is the only instance where I'd say a cap on the spawn amount could use some adjustment.
-
I don't think NR is killing travel powers. I have NR on all toons, but the only ones I would consider dropping a travel pool altogether on would be my /SR scrappers.
NR is fun and very nice to have at the lower levels, but I'll keep Fly/SJ/SS/TP 99% of the time. -
I'd agree with what Fury says about dropping Weave. You don't really need it. That sixth slot for the Gaussian's is a good investment too.
Here is what I did with my Kat/SR. She's slightly different now since I can drop CJ (I'm at 63 months Vet time), but maybe this will give you some ideas.

Quote:Really wonderful to read where War Witch says "Content, content and more content" and "End-game content" when asked about what's comng for 2010 (including post GR).Yeah, things are a bit stale around here. Was heartening to read new design lead, War Witch's latest interview though.

Quote:I agree with that, yet I can also see it as a double-edged sword as pointed out by this;If the game is so boring to you you have to set up an automated routine to continually play it for you so you can do something else - find a different game.
Quote:Widespread use of bots is a sign that you, as a game designer, have made a major mistake. If there is content in your game that is both simple enough for a bot to play, and boring enough that many people will use a bot to play it, you need to re-think things.
However, I do agree that if a game has a task so boring and repetitive that there are many players who will turn to a bot to do it, that task should be adjusted by the game developers. -
Quote:That's actually not a bad idea.I think what should be done is add an EXTRA IO to various sets. For example, add an Acc/Dam or Acc/Dam/Def to every Defense set, instead of creating Accurate Defense sets. You don't need to add any new bonuses, because no power can have more than 6 enhancements slotted anyway.
-
Quote:You don't really know what the potential set bonuses/attributes would be, so saying it would have "no +DMG" is a guess. An accurate ToHit set wouldn't have any +DMG in it, so I'm wondering why people actually consider it important to slot for +ToHit in a power like Follow Up, but not damage. Because if an accurate ToHit set came out, you'd still be frankenslotting.
Again, not every player will slot powers the same way you do. Options/choices are available for players to build the way they like. Perhaps to you, +ToHit is not important. To others, it may be important. -
-
My Ninja MM has Poo, Ping, Hung and Wang.
Probably will get petitioned now lol. -
Quote:Again, not taking one of the existing travel powers in the game is your choice.Yes. Yes I have, but for the time being I'm setting that issue aside because, quite frankly "I can fly, I don't need a car, ergo nobody else should be entitled to the the option regardless even if the chances of it being doable is possible or not" is ignorance and selfishness beyond ignorance and selfishness.
Quote:And don't get me started on "How do you fit a car into a cave?". Quite why your asking such blatantly obvious questions that are barely worth dignifying with an answer just beggars belief. -
-
Had it happen to me as well. I was missing my 60 and 63 Month vet rewards. Sent a petition in and in under 48 hours it was corrected.
-
You can't enter the one in AP either. Not sure why not since the Law Enforcer Day Job is a nice one for lower levels.
-
I did read it. Have you read any of the responses to the suugestion not only in this thread but the numerous others (to which even the Devs responded with "No") that have suggested vehicles before or are you "selectively reading"?
-
Quote:Not taking any kind of travel power is your choice, not anything wrong or broken with the game.1) Being a 'Nat' with no extranormal abilities, he can neither fly, leap great distances, teleport nor stand any chance of outrunning a car going at National Speed Limit with those pathetic mundane legs of his.
2) Being a bit short on cash, overpriced supertechnology is out of his reach.
Quote:A little bit of logic helps, you know?
How does your car "logically" fit inside/go up an elevator inside an indoor map? How does your helicopter "logically" fly through narrow caves? How does your car "logically" drive over water? How does your speedboat "logically" fit through office doors and work on indoor maps?
"Logically" the game does not need vehicles. It's entirely your choice to make a "natural" hero/villain and not take a travel ability. If that's your choice, then you need to live with it. -
Quote:And some of the standard answers will get repeated once more...I repeat once more: Not every superhero in any fiction you want to look at, posesses the ability to take to the skies, leap tall buildings in single bounds, teleport here, there and everywhere or generally pwn post-Flickies' Island Sonic the Hedgehog at his own game. Some of those heroes often resort to vehicles to get from A to B quickly.
How does your car/plane/motorcycle/motorboat/helicoptor work indoors? In caves? How does your car/motorcylce travel over water? How will it navigate the Shadowshard? How does your car fit through a door? Go up an elevator?
If I can fly, why would I go somewhere in my car? -
Most Fun:
Kick - only because on very short toons, it appears you are kicking everyone in the jewels.
Soulstorm - Great casting animation and very slick effect.
Power Thrust - Hellion golf never gets old.
Least Fun:
Focused Accuracy - I liked it much better before the nerf -
Quote:Well, that is how you slot them. That does not necessarily mean everyone does or will do the same. It wouldn't hurt to have either an Accurate ToHit set or adding in additional ToHit Buff IO sets that offer some accuracy/damage in them. Adding in variety/options never hurt.Frankenslot for what? I usually just toss a damage set in there and it gives me what I need. Accuracy, end, recharge, and damage as a bonus. Unless you're trying to squeeze out every bit of ToHit and forfeit the damage entirely? I never really found I needed more ToHit than any of those offer.
-
Quote:True, yet they did say that BETA would be coming first quarter of 2010. There has to be some bit of info that they can release beyond what was talked about at HeroCon.Releasing information about a product that isn't finished would not be the smartest idea. Imagine if they said "With Going Rogue, you can also respec into different Archtypes!" and then later, they found out it didn't work. Then they'd have to come out and say "Sorry, we were wrong, you can't switch AT's. Bummer."
That would make for a lot of angry players. -
IIRC Pool Power customization is on the list of things coming.
-
Most all of mine are tied together via our SG/VG (ie. working relationships).
I have a core group of 4 that know each other in terms of being more "family". -
I cannot stand running mobs. I petition the devs to create a new setting for the Difficulty Slider named "Stand and fight like a man!" (or woman) that eliminates the silly AI running.
