I'd say a widget that lets you refine salvage on the cheap is useful for small supergroups, even if it happens to have other uses that are only valuable in raids.
[/ QUOTE ]
If I'm in a small supergroup which cannot afford a worktable, why do I care if I can refine salvage?
This simply makes no sense whatsoever. -
Around Issue 8:
"Nobody is using our empowerment stations, I just don't understand it sir?"
"Well, clearly the game is too easy if they don't need these buffs...to the Nerf-mobile!"
Sorry, but this is freaking silly. Someone earlier asked if having Salvage storage would help the situation at all...I have a level 33 Corruptor who has never used a Worktable at all and has not capped out on even one type of Salvage so far. Not even those stupid little Echips or Orichulchums(or whatever), which sometimes seem to drop like candy.
No, the fact that you can store salvage is simply not going to make this workable. -
Oh great, this turned into an Accuracy whine thread, just like that.
Want better accuracy? Stop fighting Rikti, Council, and Circle of Thorns. :P -
I love Kinetics, and have a Kinetics defender, a Kinetics Controller, and even a Sonic/Kinetics Corruptor.
But this whole thing is hyperbole. You can downplay the fact that Blasters can fill in a chain while the Kinetics guy is buffing all you want, but the fact of the matter is that those extra Blaster attacks will make up the difference and more.
Frankly, I think you are just trolling, yet you accuse others of it.
Sorry Sinistar, quoted you and not the original poster... -

Fact: Some sets will be better than others, for various subjective reasons.
[/ QUOTE ]
I still think this is the assumption. If all the sets are the same except for one "signature power", which is the same power for all sets with different names (think Assassin's <insert whatever here>, then they are all exactly the same.
Now then, if you decide you hate the way Mako's shark looks, well...you'd need to decide that on test, and fairly quickly. And that would kind of suck. But it wouldn't make one set better than another. -
Stop posting the "Ad Hominem" stuff.
This is not a formal debate.
Furthermore, if you are aware of what Logical Fallacies are, surely you are aware that just screaming "Logical Fallacy" does not invalidate the whole argument, it just gives you a place to start in with a rebuttal.
Anybody who has an entire post which is only "Ad Hominem" shows that they've latched on to a top level understanding with no substance beneath. -
I have reason to believe that you don't get appropriate credit for the Dimensional Warder badge if you are defeated at the point of death, or that you didn't at one point.
I say this because a friend of mine had the WORST luck with Night Star, and was dead everytime she died like the first 3 times we whacked her...but got Dimensional Warder on try #4. He too was boggled by having killed every Praetorian AV, most multiple times, and still not having DW.
Could this apply to you?
Only other things I can think of would be something weird like the AV being defeated by a confused enemy not counting or something like that.
Or the infamous "resetting badge" bug which pops up periodically. -

Nope, nothing wrong with it because I'm right. I've even searched Cuppa's post history as far back as CoV's release and found nothing that said "Deathsurge is not summonable, he's random." If you have the post where she says you cannot summon her, do post it.
How many times do people have to post "I summoned him 2-3 times in a row after killing 120 gremlins" before people continue to claim this is random?
[/ QUOTE ]
Part of the problem with this was that the initial claims were not 120 gremlins, the initial claim was killing all gremlins at the spawn points once would respawn Deathsurge. People get these differences mixed up. -
MMOs are the only large-scale software which even attempt to inform you of all changes. Nobody else even bothers, because they know it is an impossible task. Yet you guys expect perfection.
When's the last time your ISP released a note to you that told you they changed some software? Do you get mail from your telephone company? Your cable company? When you download the latest patch from Microsoft, how much of what it really does does it actually tell you?
Frankly you guys overreact to the fact that people are not perfect. No amount of double checking will guarantee that everything gets in the patch notes. -

The main issues with it were that a) no one believed him, I think because he was sort of a troll, and he had no evidence
[/ QUOTE ]
No one believed him because he claimed that other people from Infinity helped him yet not one person ever came forward to say they were there, and because his story changed every time someone pointed out an inconsistency with it. Within about 5 minutes of listening to him it was obvious he was lying through his teeth.
By the way, if the confuse strategy were to work it would actually take less controllers than Holding Hami, because Confuse lasts way longer than a hold, so you can stack more of them with less people. It lasts so long a lot of people don't even bother to slot them with confuse durations. -

For Silver Bullet, only Lt. and Boss wolves count
[/ QUOTE ]
If this is true it is new, as minions worked just fine for Silver Bullet in CoH. Your bar won't move with every kill, but that's irrelevant. -
[ QUOTE ]
the reason for more influence in coh is that you get them for helping the civilains on the street. Cov does not have that perk.
[/ QUOTE ]
Far more missions give enhancement rewards in CoV than in CoH. I think this balances it out a little, unless you primarily street hunt. -
People have been complaining the drop rate on enhancements "was nerfed" since Issue 1. They have not changed, your perception/noticing has changed, with one caveat.
If you ever raise your reputation level past the second level, you have reduced your overall influence/infamy. Inf is a constant from enemy kills, but you give yourself less chances at drops per level.
I could afford 7 SOs when I hit level 22. In CoH, my first character to hit level 22 bought 8 SOs. Seems the same to me. -

I had 3 contact options, took Bill Heck and missed all the badges. I really tried hard not to outlevel them too. Please devs introduce the "flasback" system so that we can complete and meet low level contacts after we outlevel them even if we only get prestige or influence. Some of us, like me, are completely badge obsessed and really want a chance to get them all.
[/ QUOTE ]
Statesman has said in the past the the goal is to have it so you cannot complete all your contact missions before outleveling them, so he doesn't like Flashback.
It took months of arguing just to get them to add Auto-EXing to TF/SFs.
