  1. Strolling down the steps behind the Freedom Corps building, looking forward to some RP at Galaxy Girl.
  2. Not useless in ST powers, but very useful in AoEs, since the more targets it hits, the more likely it is to Proc.

I can see a good argument for loading up an Eng/Eng with these.
  3. Yes: 1 per power that accepts KB Set enhancements. So, in other words, for the question I think you were asking, no, there is no limit.

Please note, it apparently self-suppresses, to it is not possible to stack the recharge bonus from multiple uses.
  4. Shadowe actually had to stop adding tales of his alleged wisdom (or the lack thereof) to his signature. Unlike Samuraiko, he has quite a large ego, but decided not to bother creating a website solely dedicated to it.

(Edit: on reading that back, it could be taken as a dig at Michelle. It's not meant to be. I really DID consider creating a web page to link my sig to with every single "wise" reference on it, but figured that my ego was quite large enough, thank you.)
  5. Send a private message to Zwillinger. There is no player-allowed functionality to change it.
  6. I'm still getting the same level of mission complete XP today as I was in Sunday, so my money's on it still being switched on. We're just keeping it quiet so that the red names don't notice... oops.
  7. One of my favourite character names isn't even mine, it's my wife's blaster.

She claimed it before a little alteration in the naming code, the primary is Sonic, her secondary is Elec.

    The character name? Ow
  8. Won't work, because the fly pose resets every time you stop. The "w" bind given earlier would be spot on, since it will activate the pose whenever you hit the w key, but since flyposes only work when flying, it'll just move you forward when you're on the ground.
  9. As far as we know, you do not need to have a card on file to be a VIP. You are a VIP during any month in which your subscription is paid, whether by credit card, time card, PayPal or whatever.

If your subscription lapses, you become a Premium account player.

    It really is that simple.
  10. Capes and Auras are accessible in the tailor, as Back Items and Auras, respectively.

Free costume change tokens get handed out every now and then, generally after an issue is released, or if they make a large change to the costume databases.

The cape should have a jetpack overlaid above it. It WILL clip horrendously.
  11. And Z gets the last word... Except Zygote, which still comes after him in the dictionary.
  12. Same way you do to Test: click the link to the character transfer tool, and you get to pick if you want to send it to Test or Beta when you select the character.

It is not possible to transfer a toon from Test to Beta, though: Live to Test, or Live to Beta, only.
  13. The reason we have separate Beta and Test servers is so that changes to the Live game can be tested even while there's a closed beta ongoing.

Also, it is possible to copy your live game version into the Beta folder of your directory, to minimise the downloads (and you have to force it to repair the install), but the I21 Beta client is a drastic change from Live, so may download a LOT before it works.
  14. Going to also chime in and say Science. He's not using devices or implants to give himself powers (Tech), and nor is he using solely the abilities native to his species (Natural), he is being chemically altered, granting him his superpowers. Definitely Science.
  15. I think the things that strike me most about the information provided by the OP are the following:

    1) The OP wants NCsoft to shell out for a female only server.
    2) The OP has stated that the only reason she got picked out as a female is because she chose (and was not by any means required) to enter a Teamspeak server (which is not a part of game functionality, and therefore has nothing to do with NCsoft).

Simply put, the harassment that the OP received has nothing to do with NCsoft (nor anything to do with anything that NCsoft control), so is not NCsoft's problem to solve.

This is not to suggest that such behaviour should be tolerated, but I believe that the finger should be pointed at the Teamspeak server's owner, not NCsoft, as the person to solve the issue.

Having said that, if it was in-game harassment (which this is not), then /ignore and /petition are the way to solve it.

True, they are going to do the maintenance while the servers are down, which is good.

But, they should have done this publish on Thursday, to coincide with the Scheduled down time. If, in fact, there was some game-breaking issue (or game fixing, lol) that needed to be addressed, this should be explained before the servers go back up, not after.

Patch notes should also be posted while the servers are down, not when they go back up. If they can't fix what needed to be fixed, they should know that from their testing prior to the update. Admittedly, there's much I don't know about what those devs do, but from a customer standpoint, they constantly irritate me with this lack of forethought.
Because 18 hours advance warning just isn't enough.

I agree on the patch notes thing, though.
  17. To the OP: oh, hell yes!

Case in point: I currently have plot going on that has peripherally involved the Praetorian versions of my main RP toons. One of them has suddenly taken on a vastly more important role than I ever envisioned. I have no clue how it's all going to work out.
  18. Just to clarify, Slick, do you mean day 1 of the first or second invasion?

If you mean the first, my characters were cowering in an office block in IP (since the event that granted them powers happened over 3 years after the first invasion).

For the second, I'll try to find a link a bit later.

    *Looks around*

Hey there, MA long time, no see, if you'll excuse the pun.

    How's things?
  20. I believe the NC launcher requires Port 80 to be open.
  21. Swapping build does not unslot your incarnate powers.
  22. And here I was expecting suggestions along the lines of "Sally needs a boyfriend" or "Find Lusca a cute squid to wrap those tentacles around".

Joking aside, yes, something to make GMs more desirable, in a balanced way, would be good. I actually like the thought of them dropping a shard (I think more would be too exploitable) for Alpha-unlocked toons. A guaranteed way to get shards? Even very slowly? Yes, please.
  23. Yes, but I'm damned if I can remember the way to show hidden files in XP. Also, if you're using the NClauncher, take a quick look in the c:\program files\NCsoft\City of Heroes folder which might have appeared.
