I'm not throwing a fit or anything. They've just announced Titan Weapons the same time as Freedom, introduced three powersets since, and have had TW in test longer than they had Freedom itself. I can certainly wait and I'd rather them clear out the bugs than release a buggy powerset we'll all cry on the forums about.

I definitely agree. I just want them to at least end it with full effort than spend this much time on it and just pull a "andthenthegoodguyswontheend" out of nowhere.

Quote:Yes.Zwil, please take no offense personally as I mean none. But, in truth, most costume pieces CAN be copied and pasted to the new model. The thing is, every single costume "design" can be carried over. Just that in some cases, a model/frame/geo might need slight adjustment.
Case and Point:
Male Gunslinger
Female Gunslinger
Female version of Male Gunslinger
As you can see, by editing the .costume files you CAN make female versions of the male costumes. The only bump is that you have to find a pre-existing ".geo" file to closely match the male version. Now, in reality, every costume piece can be switched around if there was a suitable male/female/huge version of the ".geo" file.
And once one version of the ".geo" file is made, you don't have to totally remake a new .geo file for every body type. So, actually, if someone there "Ctrl+C" then "Ctrl+V"'d each .geo and slightly edited it for the gender (ie. chest) then the work is 3/4ths done already.
Would it be time consuming to make new .geo's for each new costume set? Hell yes. Would the players pay TOP dollar to have a little more work go into each set? Hell yes!
I realize everyone there goes on to the next big thing rather quickly, but sometimes putting in that little extra effort is what really make the payoff that much more worth it.

The Rikti Content lasted forever. Praetoria's a fresh start. Especially since it's not a nemesis plot.

Quote:No Zwill! You obviously can sprout tentacles that cast out clones of yourself to do more work because you are a super human!I will bring the topic to development.
Realistically, don't expect it any time soon. Schedules are planned out months in advance and right now we're working on both Issues 22 and 23 and art schedules are quite possibly the most rigorous and time consuming of the lot, especially the character artists. Time to revisit previous costume pieces is not currently included and to do so would compromise new costume sets, villain groups, etc, etc...it has an extreme domino effect.
I kid.
Take your time. -

Yay for gunslinger! But er...Steampunk is the same price as before, and German Shepard came out two weeks ago.

I don't know. I like a lot of things Freedom's done. Making the archetypes neutral without starting Gold, Sewer Trials(They get tiring though), more story, etc.
The Paragon Market is iffy. Very iffy. It's very hit or miss for me. -

Quote:While I agree with this nearly 100%, if someone doesn't like the concept of a piece they can go without it or just not use it thanks to the way the Paragon Market's set up.Why exactly?
Is female characters should have access to every type of option, why shouldn't male characters?
Is it wrong that someone can see a cool gunslinger costume on a male character, want it for their female gunslinger but find out they're stuck with a striped corset?
Yes, it is, horribly so.
But, by the exact same token, if someone sees a striped corset on a female character and wants it on their male hero, but finds out they're stuck with all the "cool" pieces that don't fit the concept, that's sexist too.
There's absolutely no reason any costume piece should be exclusive to either gender. -
Quote:Yeah I wouldn't call the female pieces TOO sexy or anything. I think they just feel scammed. I will say, I noticed a sort of pattern. Steampunk, males got most of the good stuff(minus the rockin' clock belt). Barbarian, males didn't get too much while females got a chain mail bikini and quite a good pit of corsets and skirts. Gunslinger, favoring the males I guess?Which is my main complaint after seeing the screenshots. The Rancher outfit from the link earlier would have worked quite nicely and fit in the "gunslinger" theme.
And the skulls are from demonlings who didn't listen to their MM - which is why their dialogue is always talking about doing things "for the master!"
CoT was pretty balanced imo.
But yeah, I guess people want equality in each pack rather than a pattern. -
As long as it's better than Game Informer, who kept putting up pictures of CoH while reviewing DCUO.

Yay for Zwillinger! Sorry for any snarky/harsh comments earlier. I've just had an over looming fear the developers may start to forget the veterans and such as of I21. I've seen it happen with games before >.<.

Quote:Positron has a lot of good ideas that sort of get ridiculed on by the rest of the team. Also, the way to get around that is to not dress the female thugs like they are about to start their shift at Joe's Skin Shack. The thing that makes these Underwear Packs more irritating is the line Positron gave at the Player Summit for why the devs were wary of allowing full Mastermind minion custombility: they were afraid of the possibility of people making a Thugs mastermind with gun toting bikini girls.
I mean, seriously? You guys talk about "We don't want Masterminds with armies of strippers" but then give players stuff like this.
One of these things is not like the other. -

Before combat: Scorpion is going to owe me a lot for babysitting this nerd.
Combat start: C'mon, heroes! I'll take you all at once!
At 75% Life: Mmmmm! You hurt me so good!
At 50% Life: The pain! The anger! Yes! You really know how to treat a girl!
At 25% Life: Oh yes! OH YES! This is a battle!
Defeated: That's it...

Quote:I play virtue and I've seen at least two or three RPSG Harems. The fact that player characters can easily dress themselves up slutty and RP far more nasty things than what little Johnny can dream up with his female MM pets has always been laughable to me.
I was often accused of being in one for being the only male in mine for a short period of time. Active male, that is. -
