Solution to everything here: Convince the devs to Make a whip melee with a plasma/fire skin like the Demon Summoner one.
-
Mute the CoH music and put on your own. Pocket D and the Menu screen are some of the only times CoH music loops anyways.
-
Double Dragon, Ninja Gaiden, Street Fighter, and Mortal Kombat references would all be pretty fitting. Maybe even Guilty Gear references.

I always hoped for that secondary for blaster ;_;. At least the martial arts would give a Maelstrom feel.
It's hard to think up ideas for Resistance epics though. They're all pretty much Beam rifle/Devices or DP/Devices. I'm sure there's SOMETHING...
Whip melee so people will quit making Pet-less demon summoners? -
And here I thought the Fire/kin literally almost aggroing the entire map of the third mission in an ITF was bad...

Pirate masterminds
PEAT(Praetorian Epic Archetypes)
-Such as getting one of those missile backpacks as a IDF member
Bard Powerset? o.o
Martial arts secondary for blasters. Or a ninja like secondary where they use a sword and knives when up close.
Praetorian Clockwork masterminds? : P -
Quote:Kind of happened to me with my Titan Weapons/Energy brute. I still touch my DP/Energy blaster, Fire melee/shield brute, and Bane spider from time to time.I agree with Wing Leader, once you find your "One" you don't really play other characters.
That's wicked cool and heartwarming. Would definitely make for interesting an interesting long time RP or story. -
I guess he doesn't want to reveal his identity being a billionaire and all. Then again, assuming Shalice lives with him, her identity is exposed O_o.

Quote:That's alway really fun. Especially if you get a group of friends and have a IC rivaling SG and VG. Makes for a nice occuring Rogue GalleryI fancy myself a storyteller, so rather than explore a single character, I like to create a world in which many characters coexist and interact with each other. As such, there's really no way I could be satisfied with just one character. I don't exactly make zillions of characters like some people, but the roster grows and grows, and I like them all... Well, almost all. Insane Rick was just stupid.

What the post above said.
But if you want some advice before hand, your video settings are pretty outdated. Could use some upping on that. -
Quote:Yeah the Incarnate System, while improves the game, also makes me a lot more hesitant to stick with a character.I used to be an altholic, routinely making and playing different toons. Issue 20 changed all that. Now, I just play three toons. I really enjoy playing all three for different reasons, and the Incarnate system is just too much work to bother leveling up a new toon.

Martial arts is kind of lame in comparison but super strength is just plain awesome. Knock a hellion to the moon with knockback blow and tell me that isn't wicked cool.

Kind of wanted to hear the general public's preference on this. I have some people on my global who seem to play just one or two characters and thats it while others (literally) make a new character every time they're on. I'm sort of in between myself. At first I used to play maybe just one or two characters exclusively but now I've been a lot more open to trying out different concepts and stuck with the ones I enjoyed. I sort of sit on the idea of a new character before making one though. I have to think if it's something I really may enjoy or not. I end up spending 10 or 20 minutes just on the Playstyle screen trying to decide X_x.

War mace is pretty good from what I've seen, but never tried it myself. Titan Weapon is good on tanks with elec, but I don't know about ice. But if you're thinking of doing axe, consider TW or War mace first like the post above mentioned.
Super Strength is pretty great with anything. -
While people say set IOs break the game, they kind of balance it at the same time. My friend played a Dual Blades/Super reflex scrapper and me a Dual Pistols/Energy blaster. Until I started using IO sets, I got my squishy keister handed to me over and over. Even at level 50 alpha slotted. Now he fights like a champion. Much sturdier but not stupidly sturdy that he outdoes scrapper defenses or anything.
SOs are in no way bad though. Really good for holding spaces until they're IO'd. -

Statesman would've been an easy one if we didn't have a corruptor who thought she was a blaster. Using only attacks and no support.
Keyes is probably the hardest. Or TPN. -

Quote:Or hopefully replace a few of them like they did with AP. Though I don't mind the old ones that soemtime suse blue caves such as Countess Crey since that's at least an exciting story.Ever since Hero 1 came on board, he got the message loud and clear that we hate the the blue caverns and I can't think of a mission where it's been used in the past few years. In fact, the Numina TF got its blue cavern with the infamous 3D figure eight trap and layer cake room removed in favor of the wide sandy cavern.
So, you're looking at just legacy content with the blue caverns. And its unlikely they'll change those maps until the time comes when they revamp all the old legacy story arcs. -
