At SDCC when the Dev team said that MA is the "Retirement Project" of the lore writer...does that mean anything to the masses?
I hope they expand on the ingame lore, factions, enemy groups and add more ingame story content not padding like SSK and AE/MA.
the XP increase for levels 1-20 being a nitroboost...thats a load of crap! Its the devs not wanting to work on level 1-20, the reason for that is simple...most PL's are from 1-20 and by changing the SK system we have now and "Nitro Boosting" that level range, players can do what is done in AE outside of AE...the devs go around the problem instead of fixing it!
If the devs are really going to focus on MA for their content, fire the damn story writers and hire new tech peopleto give the dumb masses new shiny roundabouts to the ingame problems! -

3 Booster packs
1 CoH game box
1 CoV game box
1 Mac Pack
1 GvE pack

If the devs were turned off by the antifury Ice/Ice why not increase the fury values for Ice/Ice so that in Fury 2.0 the ice attacks build fury faster to counteract the fact that the Ice/ will slow the targets and reducing the fury built on their end?
I would kill a few babies to get an Ice Brute -
According to all the anti-AE threads...people aren't allowed to hate AE or the people that AE... we are always wrong in why we don't like AE/ AE players (AE-N00bs) and they are 110% right...I gave up and let them farm.
I still do not see the awesome in this feature, I always searched for people in my level range and if I had to team with someone that was higher up than me I would SK manually.
if I was forced to bridge, I would do it with my friends that had already farmed 3 levels and left me behind.
As for the person that complained about the complaints about the increase in leveling speed...couldn't that be solved by adding more in game content to make level 1-20 fun? By increasing the level speed you only make it so that you avoid the content...it is the same thing as adding conveyer belts to the first part of the race!
With the devs adding MA I think I saw how easy it was to make an arc, make an NPC and wondered why it is so difficult to get more arcs instead of raising the level speed or adding AE so we can do missions. -
Hmm...I have a few things?
I asked a few weeks back why the cryptic logo was still on the login screen and someone replied that cryptic still owns the program code to the game but not the IP so the coding is still the same...can it be that the actual program code for CoH and CO might be the same...if that is the case can we get their magic and beast body types and their creature heads?
I feel that the Devs buffing the XP curve is a backdoor nancy ploy to avoid adding any new content? This is the same way when we had a bugged mission we could call it in and a GM would tell us if it is and release the mob...instead now we can auto-complete this mission? I feel like the Devs are trying to avoid doing stuff by padding?
I mean how much harder would it be to add another room inside Fort Darwin with another contact? or how much harder will it be to add a new contact that has two new arcs for levels 1-10 and add some for 11-20? Instead of making it faster to level out of 1-20 give us more ways to level in 1-20...and by more ways I don't mean AE! The Devs did the same thing with radio missions and paper missions, instead of adding new contacts they gave us generic missions.
I still feel that AE was the lame way to avoid adding new content and create new systems that pad the games faults.
I am not doomcasting, I am just making an observation.
I can make complete sense of the leveling curve buff in the 1-20 range and the SSK to mirror AE, the Devs are trying to correct a major F-Up... -

I know how to get into the boards and where to find things I was in a hurry because I was late to go see District 9 at midnight.

I thought I was posting in suggestions, its still a lil diff for me to get used to this new format!
-
I just saw the costume creator video for CO... and I think the bird head trumps getting red radiation?! Can the devs give us more moster heads?!

Hmmm...I am piqued by the extra powers in the pools...very piqued!

Cool Tricia...i16 not only lets me color my powers but it lets me color my feelings about this feature of i16 as unimpressed and uninterested...now is that mud brown or lackluster grey...or do the devs think that mud brown and lackluster grey are too saturated for my needs and reduced me to use stale brown or boring grey as appropriate color palettes?

w/e I'm still clueless as to why this is awesome?

It isnt as much negative thoughts as apathetic/not interested thoughts...back to my ::Yaaaaawn::
-
....ok? how does this benefit me?
No offense, please take no offense...but I have read through 23 pages of material and I am not interested in the least? The only part that remotely interests me is the fact that SK isnt affected by range...I hated being on a team with a ADK mentor -
Tax? My checking account is charged $14.99 every month...wheres the tax?
The boosters are all optional..except the super science pack... just buy it for the costume add-on -
I said my part and now I am leaving this alone...

My opinions is always changing. I am in both favor and against AE. What I am fully against is the people (AE-N00bs and exploiters) that use AE as a leveling tool and using its easily accessible exchange. I also have issues with people that claim AE/MA is an alternative leveling tool...since when did the devs say that, I got the impression that the devs made this so the imaginative and creative playerbase can express their creativity?
The PL/Farm issue is like blaming guns for the death of people.
I think that the XP should be removed or given to the authors to decide if they want their arcs to grant XP.
I actually am a firm beliver of personal responsiblity, If I dont want my child to watch violent television I have two options:
1. Demand that they remove such material from broad media
2. Limit my lil angel what she can watch...on my terms.
By removing the XP from the arcs on the authors side we do two things:
1. those that do not want to have their arcs as Farm's/PL's PuGs can do so at their will.
2. It gives us the first line of defense against this issue.
It gives us a solid solution..."Do it on your own terms" Since the Devs wont remove XP because the marketting dept is a bunch on heffers they can easily implement the option to disable xp from arcs on the authors request.
As to my other posts on other threads, AE has ruined the game in the fact that it DOES do the things that other people are clamining.
I don't know everyone on this thread, I might have played with you on champion or on freedom or virtue but I know on champ redside that teams and limited...I often solo my villains. the experience from people on big servers is very diff than those on smaller servers. but I can say that what I have seen is not good.
Everyone here says that the negative is an opinion and the positive is a fact...
Can you imagine if this issue was brought up at SDCC-09....can you see the Devs sweating..I would pay to see that. -
Saying that we should show the AE-Noobs the RC that the game has is not so easy...they are for most part fixed on parking themselves down in the AE buildings and ararely leaving. I have lead level 1-15 AE-Conversion run...kinda like the whole born again christian thing or the jehovah's whitness thing...but with RC. The responses I got from them is that the stories are nice but the XP is slow. I love the kalinda and Doc Creed arc and I love alot of the unlockable content in CoV ( BTW, have we ever gotten any sort of update on that system of NPCs? The Devs constantly add new badges but no new badge related contacts)
I had a spare hour this morning and I went to go try an arc, one about croatoa and rose, the daughter of adriana, I actually liked it and I actually found a better surprise...I didnt get XP for it! I may be the black sheep of the thread but I dont really like getting XP from the AE I like to use it to find stories.
Well while I was playing it solo on diff 5 I had a small idea...what is the Devs coded the AE to include a "Disable XP", If the Devs left the farming up to us? I am fine with using AE w/ or w/o XP, I dont care about tickets since I use the tickets to buy the content I want unlocked. but for XP I really think this could be a solution!
If everyone says that "no, you shouldnt remove XP"...they are not, they are leaving the option up to the authors. The marketing team can keep their pretty blue boxes of crap and the player base has control of farming and PL. -
-
Ok, I am usually the first one to say that we should remove AE or limit the feature... but this morning I tried to do a mission, the one about croatoa and lil rose? Well I found that I did not get any XP for it, I was so happy to just do missions in croatoa and croatoa themes that I didnt care about the XP...why do I have to ge XP for running a simulation again its like earning driving credit towards your drivers license by playing mario kart!
Everyone on the other anti-AE thread says that the devs intended this to be an alternative to leveling...but I thought the purpose of AE/MA was to have users craft stories?
What if the devs allowed us to decide whether we would get XP for not? If the devs coded option to allow XP and to disable XP for those missions? -
When I switched from AVAST! to AVG I cant remove AVAST, I tried to reinstall and it wont even let me do it.
I havent gotten any ads with AVG -
I can understand your view of the low level content for villains I really can but I take alot of my fun from being able to team with my friends in those arcs. I also take far more fun in just the pure interaction of those friends and their AT's
I havent found anything worth caring about on my server. One of my friends told me to try the server SF someone created but I couldnt find it, then there was this silly arc that dealt with lizardmen and Dr. Aeon.
I have no problem with the AE itself but again... the limited products thatcome from it.
I also have not been able to find any content worth on it.
Maybe expecting gamers to actually create something worth playing is asking for too much.
