Isn't it Ruladak in the mission? He's only an Aspect of Rularuu and very well might have been left behind because Rularuu doesn't need him anymore since he wouldn't be locked in the Shadow Shard anymore.

We've known for quite some time that Silos was Nemesis since Hero 1 told us the anagram was intentional and that they had originally asked the voice actor who did Silos in the i11 trail to do a Prussian accent "for obvious reasons,"but yes, as the others have said its know in game:

People change, and the Menders of Ouroboros follow a leader who knows that what he did in the past was wrong and is trying to correct those mistakes.
  3. I was getting a false negative on the new Boomtown exploration badges, when i checked the .mnu i found that the unlock flags were missing the word tour, i.e. Boomtown5 instead of Boomtowntour5.

    Is there something I missed?
As I understand it, one of the two sisters was a villain prior to the Rikti invasion, and while I don't think it's ever been said which it was, Infernia appears to have been designed to be a Fire/Fire Blaster and Glacia an Ice/Cold Corrupter.

Then let 'em chew me out afterwards." or "I don't care if I'm off the case. I can't let them bring that weapon shipment in the country and sink that container of illegal immigrants along the way." In essence, I see a vigilante as a marked GOOD guy who's still trying to do good, just not always in legal way.
But neither of those would be considered extreme for any superhero, a character who follows the letter of the law and respects police procedure would never become a masked superhero, let alone a superhero in the CoH universe, where vigilantism is perfectly legal. Within the basic missions, our characters are allowed to break in and beat a suspect unconscious on nothing more than the word of our contacts, so yeah, anything that can place our characters outside the bounds of what they can, lore wise, legally do is going to make them look like jerks.

    So a Pkunk power pool?
  8. The newest update is extremely impressive, great work.

Flipping is buying an item at a low price with the intent of selling it at a higher price. It's seen as bad due to the perception that it raises price but all it really does is reduce the range of values the price will vary by.

I can understand that having an arbitrary blanket cap wouldn't work as people would go outside the AH to sell things but to my mind this would only happen for specific items such as those PvPIO's that people keep bringing up.

I would like to know whether people think that anyone would go to such lengths for more every day items?

For example, if, rather than a blanket cap, there was a specific cap on common salvage of, say, 100,000. Forgetting any possible technical difficulties in implementing this for the moment; would that really create a black black market outside of the black market?

So would there be an argument for a varied cap for different types of items e.g. common/uncommon/rare salvage each having a different cap?
If you establish a cap that's lower than the Market value then you will get more players buying than did at the higher price which reduces availability. Players can no longer get the item as easily as before and so hoard it more often, reducing availability further. Buyers start to get frustrated because they can't get their item as fast as they'd like and start broadcasting in the AH to see if anyone there has the item they want and and are willing to make a better profit. Later, if their frustration gets high enough they'll move on to global channels. Some entrepreneurial players realizes there's a profit to be made and starts buying and hoarding the item to sell. Eventually the new player market is the more convenient way to buy and sell the item. The above scenario will occur if the cap is significantly lower than the Market Price of the item and if cap isn't significantly lower there's really no point in implementing the cap. Bottom line is, there are solutions which are far less problematic.
  11. Artificial price caps would cause demand to exceed supply creating shortages and players would have to wait even longer to get the items they want or go to direct trades and pay the same high or higher (since there's added risk in direct trades) prices since players would simply remove sales from the Consignment House as is already done with many PvP IOs. Prices are high because that is the Market value of those items in terms of Inf, to change that you either need to reduce the items value or increase the value of Inf.

Any attack that drains Endurance or debuffs Recovery, e.g. most electric attacks, Transference, Consume etc, can take Endurance Modification sets.

I hope that she can use Void.

If none of these are usable by AK, though, would I be able to put a second Alpha ability in the slot?
I'm not sure where it is but we have the list of powers for judgment from the leak during i18 closed beta and you can try to search for that. Judgment was an AoE attack with, as you guesses, electric, fire, cold and dark (void) themes. Whether or not you can place a anything but a Judgment enhancement in the Judgment slot isn't known, because no one actually got to test it, but I wouldn't bet on it being doable.

The other slots we've seen info on are I believe Interface, which grants a choice of debuff effects to most powers, Lore, a selection of Preatorian themed pets, and Destiny, a choice of a few AoE ally buffs.
  16. Honestly, I don't know why you guys bother, it's not like you're going to convince her of anything.

The point is to make it more convenient to sell the item than to hoard it in hopes of feeding the market and making it healthier. And it really doesn't matter how many players you convince, the devs have made it fairly clear that they are opposed to increasing our storage.

I think you miss understood me, I didn't say it wasn't worth the pick because there was a temp power that did the same thing, as far as I can tell, it's not an overly useful ability. The existence of the temp power just makes it make even less sense. If there's some point to it I'm just not seeing, I'd love to know, otherwise give it a buff or debuff effect to represent your character making use of the information.
  19. Sounds interesting, though I'd think a revive power would make sense (I so want a power to shock my teammates back to life) and I'm not really sure of the point of Gaia's gift if all it's going to do is let you see the states of you're target. Doesn't really seem worth a power pick, especially since there's a temp power that does that.

Why wouldn't they be able to survive? If you look at the concept art, their full body is in the spider.

There also appears to be a Fey tag.

Some Vigilante tips are perfectly understandable - you chase after the bad guys and hope someone else will save civilians from danger, as one might in a City of Heroes. Other tips are... Not as pleasant, like that one tip which has you assassinate a bad guy because he'll just get out of jail otherwise. And then there's that one tip where you let a hostage get killed on national television, possibly sparking A WAR, just because you're a jerk and want to punish the bad guys.

A lot of Vigilante tips are worse than some of the VILLAIN missions I've done, let alone the Rogue ones. Plenty of Rogue missions have me abandon the chance for a great scheme in favour of saving some guy's *** from his own trouble, with the narrative almost apologising for this by telling me "But... But... You'll get paid!"

And you know what the real kicker is? I can't "just dismiss tips I don't like," for one because I keep getting the same ones over and over again, and for another because there are something like ten per level range. Not a whole lot of choice there, when I need ten for an alignment switch to begin with. I've tried dismissing distasteful Vigilante tips. After dismissing all three tips I had twice in a row, I gave up and decided that my characters weren't going to be vigilantes if that's what a vigilante was.

The game defines what each alignment IS by virtue of defining the tasks and mentality needed to achieve said alignment. And the tasks and mentality needed to be a vigilante in this game equates to the jerkass, which I simply don't design any of my characters to be.
Except that the only reason to think that a Vigilante is meant to be willing to do all of the tasks is your desire to get to the rewards as fast as possible. There's nothing stopping your Vigilantes from taking the Hero's choice when it fits their mentality better, all that happens is you wont progress as fast. All that the current set up shows is that the bigger of a jerk your willing to be the faster you will fall, which makes sense. However, since those extremely jerky missions aren't actually needed to achieve Vigilante alignment, the game doesn't actually define all Vigilantes as "Jerks."

So while I was fixing up a new Global tab yesterday, I noticed a new channel in the list. A Looking For Group channel. There doesn't seem to be any way to speak in the channel or anything to read in it, so I assume it's a new channel that was meant to be fully introduced later (in I20 maybe?), but got slipped in early before it was fully implenented.

So what I'm wondering is, did anyone else notice this channel and know anything more about it?
Don't have any more information, but I did see a quite a few people discussing it in Global channels back at the tail end of beta and when i18 first hit. the prevailing theory was basically the same as yours, that it was part of an upcoming new system.
  23. I knew where the Beta one was but didn't see that one, which seems to be slightly more complete, since at the very least it includes the 1000 badge count badge.

I have not done closed Beta's before, but I assume it's a separate download that you have to do (to get all the new content).
Closed beta was done on the Going rogue Beta servers, but Test now has all of the same assets, and those are the names the game gives the .texture files. Of note the badges with tin mage in the name are actually for the Apex TF.
