Thanks everyone for the info. I will be getting this booster as well. Thinking about getting the complete collection preorder at gamestop to get those "new" powers..... Still want Going Rogue to hit so I can get my mitts on the Praetorian Clockwork costume bits....you know to possibly update the look of my name sake.

I think if I remember correctly, wasn't it said that another Booster set (ala science, tech, etc etc) was going to be released prior to Going Rogue came out??

While the server "fun" on the Freedom server may have been a good idea on paper, there has to be a better way. For instance I had the graphics option turned down to mimimum, have (what I feel is) a pretty decent internet connection (FiOS) and a computer that runs fine normally.....I was lagging and was kicked off the server as well. The thing with the GM's, AV's and "zone events" being contained to mainly 2 zones causes the vast majority of the players to congregate and causes severe lag spikes. The one thing that caused essentially "flash mobs" in a given zone. I know I am ranting here and I do not know if others feel the same way, however I am not saying that this was a terrible idea, I am saying that it needs to be reworked.

What is so difficult to understand about the pricing for the expansion????

IMO if you cant find a name that describes your toon, your not trying hard enough. Also have you tried a yahoo.com site called babelfish? It will translate an english word into other languages...why just a few weeks ago I created an Ice Blaster/Ice Manipulation toon and named him Eisberg (which is german for iceberg).

Sometimes you just have to be creative. None of my toons have a period in their names or any other of the "framing" things so that I can get my first choice of a name.


Hell, I have a list of names for my toons that I havent used yet. Yes I do check the availabilty of them from time to time as well.

Now that I have your attention....

Time for me to speak my peace about the Veteran Badge issue.....While this is said to be a known issue it is not listed on the known issues page as of 1/6/2010. So please either fix the issue or add it to the list of issues. I was told by a reliable source that the issue with the Vet Badges not awarding properly has been going on for the better part of year.

Granted I am only whining about the 15 month vet badge and soon to be 18 month badge. There are those among us that have fought this same battle in vain and those folks have been playing this MMO longer than I have. Honestly, I find it is pointless to keep going with the Vet badges if they are not going to be awarded properly. After all it is not that difficult to see how long a player has been playing and whether or not they stopped their subscription for a time.

I understand that those in charge of things like badges are busy putting the finishing touches on Going Rogue and dealing with whatever else. The one thing I take issue with is the fact that this has been an ongoing problem for some time and should have been addressed a while ago.

i realized that vista causes a bunch of problems.....I currently run XP and 2 gigs of RAM and rarely have any lag....

In the end though, us players will have to wait "patiently" until this EXPANSION (not issue) comes out.

All the people that whine about how there is no new content....uh, you have gotten the issue updates have you not? I do recall that there has been new content added to the game. I find it funny how quickly people forget and they want the next shiny thing "yesterday". I will never understand these folks, dont you think that the Dev's have lives outside of City of Heroes/Villains? They are not kept at work 24/7 by a taskmaster with a whip......

Besides if you no longer like this game, go find an other.

I was witness to the SWG debacle.....granted I never played the game my former room mate did. After he took a break from it and then when back to it thinking that he would still have his characters and "stuff" he was sorely mistaken after he realized that a server merger had taken place and someone else had taken the name of his main toon.

As far as server mergers go....like most folks I will agree with Turg on this Nah....


Besides if you find this game intoleable go play another game!
