OK, so it wasn't just me that immediately thought of that Twilight Zone episode when he said that. I thought, what an odd thing...but it looks like I'm not alone.
It was from the remake series from the 80's, by the way. The episode was called a Matter of Minutes with Adam Arkin.
OK, did I just cross that line ultra-nerdom? I suddenly feel like Comic-book guy from the Simpsons. -
Catgirl funnies...lol
Given the sheer number of slinky catgirl images we've seen (not that I'm complaining), it's kind of cool to see something so just wacky-funny. It's kind of an Archie-comics style homage going on - and I mean that in a good way!
Hemily = Betty, Rowr = Veronica? Or vice-versa... -
I like the way the image is developing, and having checked out the other pieces you have done...it's great stuff!
That being said, I hate to nitpick, but I think that the raised leg may be a bit too tight...in terms of anatomical comfort. Visually, and in true comic book fashion, it is a striking pose.
Assuming she is in flight, it implies she pulled her leg up to the point her boot is next to her butt - that is a mechanical motion that implies a great deal of effort - hardly a casual motion, if that is the intent.
If it's an action move, like she's taking off, then it makes more sense.
That's just an observation, and I hope I don't sound like a jerk for saying it, because its so well-done. -
Very cool. The use of the front shot is a nice change from the general side-blur effect people often use to define super-speed. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Great one. -
Very Impressive!
The use of light gives it the otherworldly quality that the Kheledians are supposed to imply very effectively. -
*Sigh*
Don't want to complain, but being next in the queue after so long is agonizing. Thank goodness I went out of town for a few weeks...it kept my mind off it for a bit. -

Now it's Turkish Delight on a moonlit night! Every gal in Constantinople lives in Istanbul, not Constantinople...so if you've a date in Constantinople, she'll be waiting in Istanbul.
I think we've cleared that up now... -
Wow, I was wondering how I was doing on the list. #25!
Great work, Sweet! -
Simply beautiful! It's the pastel-like quality I think that makes seem so storybook-like, I agree.
-
Impressive image! Is it just me, or does her facial features seem somewhat "Jessica Alba"? Kind of reminds me of her look from Dark Angel - of course she couldn't shoot ice.
-
I like the first one especially - did you alter the cape to make it seem so elongated? Perhaps reduce the area around her to eliminate some background space - you seem to have a square outlining that area anyway.
On the third one, I like the pose, but I am curious about why it seems to have a dark patch on her while the outside is lighter - kind of like a frame.
Anyhow, very cool. Please take my comments with a grain of salt. -
Once again, very cool. I particularly liked Wraithspirit one.
The Neostrike one was interesting in that the hero is almost all dark while the background is not - it gives an "overwhelmed" quality. That's just my thinking. -
I like them - it's a great idea to add the SG's banner to make them all unified. I like the Witchhazel and Stone Lizards ones especially
My only comment, and this isn't criticism so much as a style suggestion, is maybe try different looks for each character's book cover. They all seem to have been done with the same image effect. To give each character a more unique feel, maybe change it up with some other line style.
To extend a Marvel analogy, you don't see the same style or look on Spider-Man as you do on an Avenger's cover. Admittedly, that has more to do with different artists than anything else - but it gives a different tone.
Just a thought for future experimentation. Hope that makes sense. -
It is working now. Yay! Interesting & cool!

I'd be willing to sign up for a commission, but I can't even get to the site and find out costs. You folks are scaring me with the way you talk about it. Ugh!

"You're the Emerald Energizer, not the Emerald Electrician"
For some reason, I couldn't stop laughing at that one.
Great job! -
Well, I already said it elsewhere...Great job! That was alot more complex than I thought.

Nice split screen effect with the characters. -
Wow, been gone for a bit from this thread. Amazing job with the toons, Sweet!
Jugertha, that's one impressive lineup shot!
This has been a pretty neat thread to see! -
Apologies for throwing two out there, SweetThang. I would be happy with either choice, but I didn't know which one would be better for reference. Thanks again.
-
I'd like to give this a try...I've been meaning to ask some of the numerous artists around here. How about:
Iron Golem
or
Masque of Red Death
Anytime you can squeeze it in would be great.
And thanks for offering. -
WOW!
The videos you both put out continue to amuse and amaze - you guys certainly put some spring back in the game whenever I think I've had enough of it.
I would never had thought that would be a great song for a video! Kudos to Mr. Abyss for the amazing timing and great sight gags!
I think the pummeling to get him to shut up at the end was nice touch.
Cheers to you on this day, Miss A!
Besides being an anniversary video, its seems to me that this is a little birthday card o' love to the Miss A from the Mr.! Or is it just me?
