Elipsis without spaces is proper... I believe. I think that there does need to be a space before resuming though, as exampled in my previous sentence.

The Broken Chain
Arc ID: 81378
Faction: heroic
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Sermon
Difficulty Level: available 1-50, medium difficulty (EBs and an AV)
Synopsis: The Legacy Chain has been compromised since its inception when one of the founders, the pure and idealistic Adrastus, was overcome by shadows. Now, centuries later, Adrastus is trying to wipe out the Chain and they need your help to stop him (low level friendly, team recommended, EBs & AV)
Estimated Time to Play: 4 missions, 45-60 minutes
Drinking: Iced tea
This arc sets up a villain group thematically linked to the Legacy Chain and it is rather dark. I would really appreciate some feedback on it if anyone is willing to offer some. -
Arc Name:Vanguard AQUA
Arc ID: 58475
Faction: neutral
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Sermon
Difficulty Level: Fun for all levels (easy)
Synopsis: Vanguard has opened their new aquatic division to deal with emerging threats from our watery depths. In this, their first large-scale mission, they need your help in warding off the maritime menace.
Estimated Time to Play: 4 missions, 45-60 minutes
What you were drinking when this was created?: Soy Milk.
This mission is intended for both heroes and villains to enjoy (there will be opportunities to express your good or evil selves if you like!). Also, it is primarily intended for low levels (specifically 1-15, 25-31 for noncustom spawns) but is playable and enjoyable at all possible levels! -
In DC arcs you get normal drops (as though in a newspaper mission or somesuch) but no tickets.
-
I think this is a current limitation. There was a strong attempt to make them aware of it before release. Probably it's something they will get to eventually.
-
After playing a large team I have experienced what others have of super low ticket rewards. Anyways, the theory I developed is that perhaps the system is dividing up the tickets, but then instead of giving them to each team member it is granting the divided up value to a single player.
I developed this theory because after a boss, one person on a team would get 5 tickets from a boss, but then the rest of us would get nothing for that kill.
Any thoughts on this? Has it been suggested already? -
If people only say a word or two, then I wouldn't worry about engaging them. If the comments are more extensive, then a reply is probably more appropriate. In any case though, I never expect to receive a response to a comment.

[ QUOTE ]
Also, the third mission had a blank exit text.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah. That means there are some differences between my local and published versions. Thanks for the great feedback. I will definitely take those things into account when I publish on live. My arc is only at 50% file size, so I am definitely going to squeeze in some custom characters. -
I am looking for some feedback from some open minded users on the following arc:
[ QUOTE ]
Arc Name: et tenebrae erant super faciem abyssi
Arc ID: 16252
Faction: Both (will be villainous on Live)
Creator Global: @Sermon
Difficulty Level: Easy/Medium
Synopsis: Tale, in Latin, of Romulus' rise to power.
Estimated Time to Play: 4 missions, 40-60 minutes?
[/ QUOTE ]
This arc is in Latin, but I would like to think it is enjoyable for even those who don't understand the story (think of how many people play arcs without reading anything anyways). This is main feedback, in fact, that I want. What is the impression of this arc for someone not knowing Latin? How does it play?
Also, there are several placeholder character descriptions, bosses, maps at the moment (only because I am waiting to use unlockables until live to avoid any potential problems). -
Is there someone we can PM about the possibilities unblocking certain terms? Just curious, the filter is blocking a fairly common Latin word and this is troublesome for writing in Latin.
-
On the topic of rating without completing, would it be possible for said ratings to have less weight than ratings upon completion? Perhaps contributing only 1/4 as much as a completion rating. That way if there are only noncompletion ratings, they will have full force, but noncompletion ratings won't affect as much an arc which is being rated by players completing it.
-
Not bad. I liked the tone of the Positron one quite a bit, the Aeon one was a little too jokey for me.
-
No, that's fine, I'm not looking for the golden answer. I am sure there are trends this way and that, and perhaps hiccups therein. Just curious what peoples' impressions are. Some recipes depreciate as the level goes down, some go up in value, and some just can't get any cheaper.
-
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but is rolling always best at 50 (PPM) or is there an earlier level (30 or 40) where the PPM might be higher on random rolls. Just curious, i have a 30 corr with 110 merits and I am planning to wait until 50 at the moment.

[ QUOTE ]
With that said, what the hell can one expect for month 63????.
[/ QUOTE ]
There was some speculation out there on the boards (rampant, unfounded, and injurious ... just the way we like it) that the rewards program was drifting toward retirement. I wouldn't be surprised it this were the capstone, as it were, of the program. -
[ QUOTE ]
And to the 60s who claim it's a bad idea: you don't have to take them. You can still build your character the same way as always. Thus, eliminating any moral dilemma you might have from imbalances...
[/ QUOTE ]
Imbalance isn't a personal issue, it relates to how everyone plays since we all play together (/cuePSAmusic).
There hasn't been a lot of cries of "game breaking" it's just a matter of what's a little too much. -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
From what I read it only gives you access to tier 1, 2 or 3 powers at level 6, so therefore I don't see how you can skip right to Acrobatics which is the tier 4 power. I would guess that the tier 4's still require two previous powers to unlock them.
[/ QUOTE ]
Just to clarify, the tier 3 power they refer to is actually the fourth power in the set. For example, for flight:
Tier 1: Hover and air superiority, which have no pre-requisites.
Tier 2: Fly, which requires hover or air superiority.
Tier 3: Group fly, which requires at least two other powers in the pool before becoming available.
So, essentially this veteran award opens up things like arcobatics without pre-requisites.
[/ QUOTE ]
That may or may not be the case. If it were the case they could have more simply stated that all pool powers in those sets would be available from level 6. It seems to me that they are using tier in the sense that it is used to refer to primary and second sets (tier 1 - 9) to refer to the initial 3 powers in each pool. Whether or not they are using the term in its accepted usage is another matter (one I wouldn't be up for debating). -
[ QUOTE ]
To add to this, what makes you think that these powers would be slottable? Is the Vet-Nem staff slottable? How about Sands of Mu?
E_Ryu has the right direction. For the best benefit, one would take the requisite for the foundation.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't think they are talking about giving out special vet versions of said powers ... I would shut up on the issue immediately if that were the case (I may anyways, since i don't feel especially strongly on the issue). So far, indications suggest they are allowing early/accelerated access to the real deal pool powers.
Also, how does taking the prereqs matter for "maximum effect" or "setting a foundation". Not being sarcastic, I just don't know to what that refers. -
[ QUOTE ]
You still dont get it, being able to buy the powers via real money or inf in game means you dont have to pick a power period. That in itself is more game changing than this change we have coming.
[/ QUOTE ]
True, but it's something that has never been intended for serial purchase (for what that's worth ... probably not much). Regardless, temp travel powers do not allow for slotting (esp. the oh so sexy universal travel sets) nor can they achieve the speed of pool powers ... they are just neutered versions of the real thing. Also, not to be forgotten, there exists no alternative to the pool superspeed or teleport powers. -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Massive, epic FAIL. Something so profoundly, massively balance altering as being able to skip a travel prereq being doled out as a veteran reward?
[/ QUOTE ]
Are you trolling? Anyone can skip power pre-reqs and pick up Flight (Raptor Pack) at 6 and Super Jump (Zero G) at 10 without being a vet. CoV character have multiple ways to get flight early and replenish it without using any power picks. This is a minor perk--if it is "massively balance altering" then the balance got altered years ago when CoV was released.
The biggest factor here is that Acrobatics no longer requires pre-reqs but given the changes to mezs and the increase in anti-KB options (inventions) even that is not a huge deal.
[/ QUOTE ]
Temp powers do not compare to the real thing in any number of ways. Also, it's not about getting it earlier. I think there would be 1/10th the fuss if it was the ability to get a travel power early. The problem comes into play because a player can get a travel power without the prereq. This affects how people will make their characters all of the way up to level 50. -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Actually, it means you can SKIP taking the first or second power in the Travel Power Pools and, at level 6, pick the travel power immediately. No pre-requisites.
[/ QUOTE ]
Speaking as someone who's pretty close to getting that reward, I'm not a fan. I really feel like vet rewards should be nice little bonuses, not build-changing things. And that's a build-changing thing.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's my thought as well.
