I have wanted to fight on the upper platform with Rommy and Requiem, but the only time I've ever been there was with a newbie team that apparently got lost. The team was scattered at the time and accidential aggro chased the few of us on the platform off. So we reassembled at ground level with the phalanx of Warbots anyway.
I still don't know what those console glowies up top are for after all this time. -
Personally, I use the characters that I'm not actively playing, ie the "shelved" ones. Those are the ones that have no time constraints on their Market slots for low bidding or (moderately) high selling.

I haven't heard anything about Sherk Silver's character builder app in years. I believe it was superseded by Mid's.

I was also stunned when someone said in the global channel it wasn't worth playing because the merit reward was too low.

Yeah, and it's going to be even less once the dataming determines that it is being completed too quickly. -
I'm with you on this Barata. Speed runs are completely unfulfilling to me. This is especially so with the high level TFs where I've got my characters fairly tricked out with Sets and bonuses and for what? Hang out by the door to wait for the tp. Plus on a full team, I have more freedom to go all out since we can back each other up. That's fun and exciting. I'm not advocating doing a defeat all for every mission, but I'd like to at least fight my way to the mission objective. As it is, I might as well be a mission padder.

C'mon, you gotta do it in public. It's not showing off if you don't have anyone telling you how great you are/did.

Are there Drones on the Mothership? Wouldn't it be better to do a Lady Grey TF to trigger an Invasion and have masses of Drones port in in one area?

I really wanted to work on respecing a level 50 character. I intended to swap a few powers to try something new and perhaps try some of the new Set IOs that were introduced recently. However, for unknown reasons, my computer suddenly can't see my printer. The character is fully Set IO'ed out and there's no way I'd be able to remember how anything is slotted without a hardcopy. I thought we had a couple more days before Issue 15 goes live. I was just thinking that I could email the image to myself at work and print it out there. Black and white is better than nothing, but alas, it is too late.
I did get 2 other characters over the weekend, but they were the easy. They were mid-30s so it was just a matter of collecting the Set IO pieces and then swapping out the Commons IOs. I really didn't need to use a respec for this, but I wanted to cash out the Common IOs. -
I chose to go with Ice/* to pair with */Kin specifically because of Arctic Air (after I read about it). I figured */Kin would be a very busy set, and it is, so I needed something "armor-ish" to keep me alive while I was in melee. Arctic Air fit the bill.

Actually, how much would people pay for the right to choose the name that Smurphy would go by under the new forum system?

What exactly did you think the first post was asking?
[/ QUOTE ]
Assuming Chaos_Creator won the opportunity to rename Smurphy, Johnny_Taxibot is asking how much would Chaos_Creator be willing to accept to replace the name he originally suggested with the name Johnny slips him. -

7. TheOcho goes bilingual to assist the new Euro board sections: TheEight.

For some reason, I found this to be incredibly amusing. I laughed probably more than I should have.

Shouldn't it be more along the lines of: elEight (or laEight, if he swings that way) -
I personally don't like the speed run ITFs. They're usually a bloodbath on the non-armored players or those who don't know what is expected. This is especially so on the second mission where multiple ambush materializations can happen on top of team members who can't keep up, stand still too long, or can't invis/phased through a blocked corridor. The stubborn, but dedicated support players usually get it pretty bad trying to keep up with the tanks and brutes who are already aggro capped so they absorb all the extra aggro along the whole path.

*prepares for the arrival of Golden_Girl*

Golden_Girl was the first thing that came to mind when I read about the merge with the Euro boards.
[/ QUOTE ]
Whoever that is. As long as they stay out of my way I don't care
[/ QUOTE ]
Um, agreed. Not sure why this would be such a good/bad thing. Not that I really need to know you understand. I just get the feeling that there's some kind of inside joke here.
[/ QUOTE ]
Golden_Girl came to the US forum for a while. During the few months she was here, she flooded the forums. She was in every thread with single sentence responses. I think her longest post ever was 3-4 sentences. To me, it seemed she was monitoring the forums all day, every day. She probably got the 'Forum Cartel' title in record time. -

The Player Notes' star rating (that shows above said player's head) doesn't appear to be enabled by default. I had to enable it in Options for all my characters.

Tangent.
I already have a Decimation:Chance for Buildup slotted.
Would I be able to slot a Gaussian's:Chance for Buildup too? -

I'm such a dork when it comes to crafting. I've only recently began to take it seriously (since it is hard to, without having a modest base to keep salvage and enhancements). Thanks for the help, guys.
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't bother to store the stuff you crafted unless you have up and coming characters that might need them. Instead, sell them to recycle the Inf for the next batch. -

SerialBeggar: Did the Paragon Taxi Service SG come before or after the Perez Search and Rescue SG? I've always wondered.
[/ QUOTE ]
Do you mean Paragon City Search and Rescue (PCSAR)?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, that's what I meant. I remembered "PCSAR", but I blanked with what the "C" is. -

Isn't usually about a month in "closed" beta, then about a month in "open" beta. With Issue 15, they didn't bother with the "closed" beta phase, so I wouldn't expect the "totally open" beta to be less than a month and a half.

There was the Controller changes of Issue 5:
- all AOE mez: duration cut in half and recharge doubled (no change to the inherent -20% accuracy penalty, though)
- all Pets: single summon only (except for the set of 3 Imps), but don't expire (except for death, zoning or manual release) and can follow through elevators
- to compensate, Controllers got the "Containment" inherent: after a foe is mezzed (by you or someone else) with a stun, hold or immob, your next damaging attack is double damage
And just recently:
- Stoney and Jack's AI were tweaked
- Imps summoned as -1 to you
- all Pets ignore recharge buffs -
Check Wentworths and the Black Market. There are obsessive collectors who must have one of everything, especially once they're not in mass production anymore. Some of the rarer Base Salvage are worth some decent Inf.

One other thing I am remind of now that I've played my Warshade some more recently, the lobster form is too bulky and slow. I takes up way more space than I'm used to since I usually play slim characters. My camera is all screwed up in caves and sometimes I can't even see foes in front of me even when surrounded. The lumbering, unenhanceable jog is also annoying. I haven't played a Stone tank yet, but I guess if you had, you might be used to it. It annoys me that it has me gravitating to Set Bonuses for run/movement speed when I could use something "better".
