  1. I also want to reiterate, for the Invul/* powerset,
    - Temp Invulnerability
    - Dull Pain
    - Unyielding Stance
    - Invincibility
are your heavy armors. Get them as soon as they become available. Slot them up.

The passives Resists are the light armors. You can pick them up later when you can.

In terms of the attacks, they're all ok, so it's up to you. The general rule of thumb I follow is to get 2-3 attacks so you can actually defeat foes on your own. Include an AOE attack as soon as it become available to help with keeping all the foes in the immediate area interested in you. In the early levels, slot each attack with an Endurance Reduction enhancement first, then Accuracy and Damage as you can allocate slots to the powers.

Taunt is up for debate, but it's not priority. I take when I can fit it in and feel that I can actually survive the extra aggro.

In regards to Travel powers, you'll need to take one of the prerequisite powers first. I'd like to point out that Air Superiority from the Flight power pool is great. Aside from the decent damage, it has guaranteed knockdown. You can keep a Boss completely out of the fight by bouncing him. And while he's getting up, you can dish out 1-2 attacks before he's ready. Air Superiority can ensure that he's never ready. 2 Accuracies is the minimum slotting for it and it will save your life. You can add more enhancement later if you feel like it. And, of course, Fly is really nice.
  2. It was mentioned above, if you don't want to wait for the Free Respec when the new issue comes out, you can use the Second/Duo/Alternate Build feature.

Talk to a Trainer NPC (like Ms Liberty or Blue Steel).
    - You'll see a choice for "Select Your Active Build". Choose it.
    - Next screen is "Select Build 1 or Build 2". Choose Build 2. You'll notice your powers tray emptying out.
    - Then talk to the Trainer again to "Train up to next level". You'll be starting from level 1.
    - Repeat training up until you get back to your current level. Choose wisely.

Note: you can swap back between Build 1 and Build 2 at any time (with a 15 minutes recharge between swaps).

Note: each Build is independent of the other, so each will require its own set of enhancements. The first time you use it, all your slots will be empty when you finish.

Since you mentioned that you're level 12, don't bother re-buying the Training Origin (TO) enhancements. You ought to moving on to the Dual Origin (DO) enhancements at this time anyway. Dual Origin enhancements are twice as effective as Training Origin enhancements. Later at level 22, you'll want to start using Single Origin (SO) enhancements, which are twice as effective as DOs. Around the 30s, you may want to start looking into the Invention Origin (IO) enhancements, either the "common" IOs or the named "Set" IOs.

If you need Influence. let us know and we can give you some tips on how to build up some.

I'm old school. I have a note pad that I use to keep track of my power selections.

  6. Since this is now the Market and Inventions board, I'll make a tangental comment: I really don't understand Doctored Wounds' popularity. I personally don't feel that its set bonuses are all that great. Yeah, I see the 5% recharge, but eh. I prefer to use (on my characters) Mircles or Numina's Convalescence, and in a pinch, Harmonized Healing before I'd go with Doctored Wounds.

    Nothing to do?

You can kill a lot of time reading at http://www.onemanga.com/ .
  8. Last 2XP weekend, I only sold pre-made Common IOs. This time around, I wanted to try selling crafted Set pieces. I settled on a couple of cheapo Sets that had some decent triples and stocked up on them over the month. Alas, they pretty much didn't sell at all during the event. I guess I was over optimistic in pricing them. I saw some sales, but they were well below my prices.

Luckily, some of them sold yesterday. Unexpectedly, though, the ones that sold were from what I had considered the "lesser" of the two Sets. Well, it gave me hope that I can unload my inventory sooner rather than later.

My secondary objective during the event was to clean out some of my hoarded Set IOs. The mediocre stuff that I kept on hand for new alts to use as they grew up. But as it turned out, the new alts wanted the better stuff that I have since learned I preferred. A lot of these didn't move either, but I was expecting that. Unfortunately, these along with my scheme IOs locked up half of my Market slots during the event.

Still, I was able to move a steady stream of Commons at ludicrous (to me) prices. In addition, I found that some of the unused Set IO pieces I was trying to get rid of were bringing in good Inf. I've made a note to explore pursuing their niches.
  9. I liked doing the hunts when I was new. I got to explore the city, got into the nooks and crannies of each neighborhood, and I learned how to get around, over or onto things. Street sweeping builds character!

    Sg names

Have you joined your Server's global channels for TFs, teaming, badges, giant monster hunts, etc? I have essentially solo SGs on several servers, since bro doesn't play as much anymore, and I get my action from the globals channels.

As an idle exercise, I was just pondering what powersets you were filling out with these enhancements. I'm guessing a Rad Emission Defender or Corruptor.
  12. If you have the Inf, you can craft them yourself. The only pricey salvage would be Alchemical Silver and maybe Spell Ink (haven't checked recently). Buy a batch of salvage and craft directly from the University tables. You'll have to pay for the recipe and crafting costs, but if Inf is not an restriction, no biggie. Do it Steel Canyon, Wentworths is right across the street from the University.

    Active Mission?

Did you, by any chance, talk to a Field Analyst and change your Reputation? Reputation = mission difficulty setting. Heroic is the lowest setting. COV side, Villainous is the lowest setting.

  15. I did a Citadel TF and got a couple of levels on a Controller.

I did an ITF run on a 50 and picked up a Purple drop.

I did a couple Mothership Raid runs that had an iffy start. We commenced on the pylons with only one and a half teams and without any Tanks or Brutes. Eventually player participation picked up and it turned out pretty well. We held the center without significant trouble and got a very decent pile of Merits. My game did crash on the second run and I lost my spot on the team, but it was no biggie.

I wanted to get some levels on a Corrupter, but the only action happening were AE teams. Eventually, with only an hour play time left, I joined one. A boss farm, as it turned out. I got 3 levels and called it done.
  16. The grey back ground behind the avatar image in the hero scheme is slightly better today. It's still pointless, but it doesn't look obviously wrong.
  17. Well, after spending the weekend with the forums, I've concluded that I find it difficult on my eyes. The post's background needs to be darker to offer more contrast. The white text on "bright" just makes everything blur after a while and I find myself squinting.
  18. I tried to be a completist with 2 Defenders when Croatoa came out. I totally burnt out on them by the mid-30s. I was ready to give up by then and the introduction of the new Faultline just sealed the deal. One is still stuck in the low-40s because just looking at it brings an overwhelming feeling of tiredness. It was with strength of will and a lot of TF teaming that I was able to get the second one to 50. I believe part of my problem was using a low damage archetype. The missions gets really tedious after a while and then having a slow slugfest everytime sapped my enthusiasm.
  19. If your Nemesis hunt is for the Tailor, Eden is the most convenient place to go. When you get in, hang a right, then go down 2 blocks. Lots of Nemesis there.
  20. Teslic Probe?
    Van Der Gaaff Generator?
  21. I was going to ask where all the usual negative posts during a Double XP weekend went. It's so quiet on the forums.
  22. Are all replies a "Quick Reply" a la the old forums now?
