  1. Hmmm. Sounds ok. I could prolly make it if I decide to wake up.

I have some spare influence around the place so I could probably help you there if you really need.

    MA or Katana?

But why do you want *another* sword? Why do you want *more* Lethal damage?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Not one sword... dual blades

    Lethal Damage FTW!

Guys, you're all avoided the plainly obvious answer to his question. Broadsword!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ah, Broadsword. Great team that I have with a friend is a BS/ and a Kat/. Broadsword totally smashes them out the window but has problems with its recharge. Katana picks up the ends with its fast recharge and slightly less damage. (Ok a bit less damage)

And with bosses you have 4 attacks which have high chances to knock down which can be a god send for those hard hitters.

Only problem is when you find duoing invincible missions so easy that its boring.

Having just picked up Soaring Dragon, I giggled for a good 30 minutes during the Moonfire TF - it's just so cool!

    [/ QUOTE ]

The little spin is just so COOL! Golden Dragonfly may do damage but Soaring Dragon for looks!

On topic, I like katana best. I find it hard to choose scrapper sets though... they all rock in there own little ways. I want 30 slots for scrappers alone!

    Enlightenment

Well after respecing my blaster at lvl 46 I had a moment of enlightenment myself and I suddenly discovered I didn't have to die on every other mission. Switching from a max damage build has reduced my effectiveness (read that as maximum damage to max mobs) when teaming with a defender/controller who could keep me alive, to a build with holds and disorients and taking so little damage during a mission that I didn't feel the need to pop an insp.

Hell I might go say hell to some stalkers in PvP >

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is exactly how my blaster is turning out. High single target damage is far safer. If I am alive I am blasting, all the better I say. AoE's may pump out some nice orange number's , but the risk of all out aggro is far greater.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes, but then again I'm still not getting rid of my trip mines and time bombs. Caltrops in great when retreating round a corner to start single blasting.
  5. Very expensive but not impossible. Wouldn't mind seeing this build in action. May want to try get a little bit more damage buff into it.
  6. Aye electric needs to have some more powerful attacks and a rethink of some of the powers.

If you need that respec then drop an email to me on Defiant - @Serephena
  7. Exactly why I stopped my electric blaster. But still trying. If you need I can prolly help you with a respec mish for it later if you need.

If a power makes you stop playing a character you need to get rid of it ASAP.

    Me and GW

It doesn't just depend on the tank, the team build needs to be right for STF. Our invinci tank left part way through our STF leaving my regen and a SR to try tank. We managed with GW and Scirroco but we needed insps for LR. RV is where a tank can usually be measured.

Congratz on tanking GW and Mako solo though.
  9. This is my blaster build. Mainly set around trip mines and the combo above but using a time bomb and an LRM Rocket. Many people hate caltrops but can keep enemy slowed so they dont trigger mines and keep running. Also helps with protecting yourself from melee and trip mines help there too.

Used IOs. Build was for set IOs so some flaws my be there.

Oops, change that Recall Friend to a TP Foe. Great for setting up heaps of mines with caltrops ontop and teleporting annoying lieus and sometimes bosses onto it. Note that this build has a couple holds and imob for PvP blasting.
  10. My elec/dev is going to be a PvP blaster. But for PvE I would suggest, smoke grenade. Smoke grenade, wait for stealth to come back fully then run in plant a trip mine and queue ball of lightning while waiting.

Most things will lose most of their health and you sit there picking them off as they try to hit and run with their lowered acc.

But better to try with a primary set with more heavy blasts in it.
  11. Never liked it, never will.
