Quote:The most fun will be had seeing how they handle the transition to post-war content ar level 30 when the war doesn't start until 50Quote:Pretty much pokes a giant hole in the "time progression by player level" thing we've all thought was going on, which makes First Ward's timeline that much more ambiguous.
Oy. What a tangled mess. -

Issue 24 seems to be CoH's complementary oddball episode.

It's Epileptic Trees, that's what it is.

Quote:This is what I mean by players being more pedantic than developers. You are putting together two separate pieces of information written by two different writers at two different times. There is no guarantee that the current writers have done the same thing.
Regardless, it's not a significant issue. "It was only the part of the Well in the Rikti dimension that was affected".
So long as they are in their own dimension, they, and the Battalion, are at least partially cut off from the Well, leading to loss of magic, loss of individualism and cultural stagnation. When they travel to Primal Earth they reconnect with the Well, leading to the rediscovery of magic and a rise in individualism, and eventually, civil war and cultural change. -
There is no "Primal Well." It's the same Well for every damn dimension, including the Rikti's. This is why Emperor Cole was considered its Champion. Wells are only different from planet to planet.

Quote:Oh yeah, a bit like the Praetorian Police Department's personal force fields.I think the one thing that stands out to me that was part of one of the surveys, is Forcefield armor. In my mind, it'd use a sleeker body coverings, so like Bio Armor, only instead of carapaces, it'd be sleek glowing armor bits/pieces, like the Valkyrie costume set, as opposed to a series of giant bubbles. Now, the self heal in the set would instead be a self-absorb boost. Also, I'd go with chest piece first, boots for the mez type toggle and gloves for some sort of boost to damage(smashing would probably make the most sense)
-
Also, considering that the Well is interdimensional, the Rikti Well is our Well... since, y'know, they're really genetically altered humans from a parallel Earth.

Quote:I wonder what the story behind them could be. The Mercy Angels sound as vicious as the Vengeance ones. There's a little bit more Angel info here:

The few bits of text they say are quite interesting regarding who they might be talking about. -

Quote:We have a mission inside the mind of Praetorian Penelope Yin.Quote:If I had to guess, we're delving into the mind of someone close to Mother Mayhem, as those statues in the background are of her and the clock tower is from her hospital. If I had to guess, it's Praetorian Yin. She was used by Mother Mayhem, there's a floating mask of Vanessa Devore in the background, and there's that giant Y on that building.
With this pic and the one with the three Praetors, we're probably gonna get an incarnate arc where we wipe out the remaining leftover bits of Cole's regime to ensure it doesn't spring back to life, while allying with and possibly providing refuge to our Praetorian allies. -
Quote:Eh, I guess that's a fair point, but then of course there's always been people who've skipped the briefing texts.Well, I gathered from context clues like a forum registration date of July 2004 and a post count of over 8,000 that bpphantom would have *some* clue as to the identity of Hero 1.
*Sigh.* -
One can never be certain on the Internet, especially on this board. Hell, look at this thread; we have people who literally think that those three Praetorians will be sharing that pedestal together, regardless that there isn't even any green rings around their feet. I wouldn't put it pass someone to not know who the **** Hero 1 was, considering all the people who go DFB DFB DFB DFB DFB DFB DFB DFB throughout the beginning of the game.

Quote:*Facepalm!* What have I been saying this WHOLE TIME?It's possible! both Aurora and Pendragon have featured in the latest story stuff, so it could very well be a hint that they're going to feature in the issue's story prominently.
Heck it could be a teaser for the incarnate content, like a new story arc being included will center around the three of them. This issue is Praetoria's swan song for the time being so wrapping up what's going up with more Praetors wouldn't be a bad idea. -
Quote:And unfortunately for your arguments, the Praetorian timeline has been level based.Mhm true! Wibbly wobbly timey wimey. But like Statesman's death and galaxy city's destruction being 'now'. Some stuff follows leveling, some stuff follows 'then' and 'now'.
Seriously, as others have pointed out, I really think you people are taking the image too literally. Clearly we're getting an Incarnate arc or more in i24 that deal with the aftermath of the Praetorian war. Clearly it/they deal with Praetorians on Primal Earth. -

I have OCD as well, and as far as I see it, Montague's dialogue simply acts as a type of foreshadowing. I had the benefit of joining the game when Montague was already in it and when I got to the Reveal afterwards, I looked back and went... "Ohhh!"

Quote:Well, if you're arguing "it makes startling implication in hindsight," then it's still a weak argument. Hell, I didn't even make the connection the first time around. In a sense, but it was never expressly spelled out until the 30-40 range (Timothy Raymond was merely expanding upon the discoveries made in City of Heroes, in the same way that the Dossier you get in the Vanguard Arcs spells it out further). It was merely something that observant players could pick up on - much like trying to figure out all the early game Malta influence.

If that's so, then the Lost themselves are a spoiler. Lol
