Oh I think I've seen this before, that monkey pwnges.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Afaik whirlwind use endurance/mob. You really need the 3rd slot.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you look at the build you'll see that I wont need to run into many things like your Martial Arts scrapper does, that build can quite happily stay at a range as long as it wants, with an occasional 'joust' (Run past the enemy with Ripper qued for the high damage's sakes). So the end cost is so incredibly small between 2 and 3 slots it just makes no difference.
[ QUOTE ]
Tactics is about 11-12% tohit for a scrapper with 3 slots. Its too low a value to make you hit anything. Im slotting tactics cause I dont really need the slots else where. 2 accuracy is better than tactics.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmm this is something I wasn't sure about, seeing those figures I think I'd 3 slot Sprint and maybe one more in Hurdle, possibly Hasten.
[ QUOTE ]
If you dont slot build up, you would have no chance to hit through things like radiation infection before you get focussed accuracy. Besides its very hard to do damage after ED without build up. Fx. you cant overcome an empaths heal without build up.
[/ QUOTE ]
Running a 100 yards or so away from a rad debuffer is easier. Wouldn't I be right in saying that 0 slotted build up would hit the target easier without acc debuffs than 3 slotted ToHit through a acc debuff? Yey slots.
[ QUOTE ]
I dont get tactics sooner cause I would rather have the other powers. Whirlwind is better than tactics in Warburg.
You dont fight that many Stalkers anyway.
[/ QUOTE ]
The night is young in Stalker PvPland, if you know what I mean. But this isn't really just for Stalkers, a lot of people have the Concealment pool and any Blaster that knows what they're doing is going to be right out of the way, invisible, waiting to pick out his target likely from above. If I can see them I can -fly them and throw them to the wolves so to speak. -
Not on much but if you get on I'll play for a bit character name is Deluxe.

Teehee.

Well, if you run whirlwind, assault, tactics, integr, quills,FA Im sure you will run out of end sometime, tho there is conserve if its a lvl40+ zone (as pvp not in game yet...unless arena), but If I pvp I will sure have a kinetic in team so that SB will keep me at max end for sure, if I solo in a pvp zone, needs some end management tho.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is a very self-reliant build, it fills gaps which you can't always have and is a perfect Scrapper choice for any team. The Scrapper can go do his own thing and run around murdering any squishie without the need of help, but of course if help comes then weyhey move onto the next target faster. -
Used to be that I chewed through end so much a DA Scrapper would be proud, but then I got more slots with ED and put an end reducer in all the toggles, now it all runs smoothly. Actually, I couldn't fit Quills into my current build so I guess that helps.
-
Start with Freeze Ray, it's faster and it doesn't ground you for like 3 seconds.
As a matter of fact just don't bother with Bitter Freeze Ray. -
Using Teamspeak for this Disco? Idealy all the leaders should be on Teamspeak, every successfull raid so far has used Teamspeak.
-
Edit: I changed my mind, D3 all the way.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Does make a very effective squishy killer though
[/ QUOTE ]
Except any prepared squishie is going to have protection from that in Hover or even Acrobatics, if a squishie without knockback protection stays around after the first hit from a Katana without knockback protection then they really deserve to bite the dust.
Broadsword like I said does it all better than Katana, Claws even does it better than Katana, with ranged knockback, and more of it. -
Ok here's my idea for a competition:
The first person called 'Chives' to turn up gets the 'PvP sensei' forum title.
M'kay? -
What level is your Spines? The Spines set is pretty damn end heavy, Quills is a pretty large end drainer, Throw Spines and Energy Torrent end costs are a big chunk too, and you tend to spam those as often as possible especially in PvP.
Add the costs of Assault, Tactics and Focused accuracy my end would have a negative recovery rate without Stamina. -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
If you're dark you need to go into Leaping anyway to get Acrobatics, since Dark gives no resist to knockdown. So I say combat jumping.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hover works fine as Knockdown protection for my MA/DA (spin in place being much quicker than falling over and getting up again). Needs a couple of slots, but worth it for the mobility IMO.
[/ QUOTE ]
Three slotted Hover isn't fast enough for a Scrapper.
But I can forgive you, Stone Tank. -
And come to think of it, I'll give your Controller a whizz in the Arena on test some time if you want Greek, with my Scrapper.
I don't think I'll win but I want to see what you're all about. -

Interesting, how fast is that jump speed you got there? And leaving Tactics out before 38... this a level 50 PvP build right? Or one catered to TG's little 'gank-squad'? -
[ QUOTE ]
erm why bother with laser eyes? surely throw spines should be your main ranged attack eh? personally i'd rather have conserve all day long - especially for ye olde farm style mishes - or your non-stop mayhem ones.
[/ QUOTE ]
The more Ranged attacks you can cycle the better chance of taking out a good PvP Blaster you have. -
[ QUOTE ]
Loose the slots in tactics and put them in build up. All tohit buffs.
[/ QUOTE ]
I reckon that this build is going to be a non-stop action kind of thing, I don't want to be not hitting things for any period of time just so that I can hit everything every now and again.
[ QUOTE ]
For all attacks. 2acc 3dam 1recharge instead. You need it for Warburg.
[/ QUOTE ]
Or I could just keep my slots in Tactics which lets me remove an acc slot from every attack as I understand it and keep my recharges so I can cycle faster and have a higher DPS.
[ QUOTE ]
Whirlwind is too late. You need it in Warburg, otherwise the good blasters will eat you alive.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think it's more of a case of a good Spines/Regen will eat good Blasters alive. With Spines you've got the ability to keep a Blaster at range - which is what must be done, Blasters simply can't do enough damage to kill a Scrapper before the Scrapper kills them at a range.
[ QUOTE ]
Edit: Loose the slots in fast healing and put them in whirlwind (another end red) and 1 more in hasten.
[/ QUOTE ]
The end cost of Whirlwind 2 slotted for end reduction is 0.58 end/sec and 3 slotted it's 0.51 end/sec... No thanks I think I'd rather get bang for my buck. Possibly one more in Hasten though I'll give you that. -
If you're dark you need to go into Leaping anyway to get Acrobatics, since Dark gives no resist to knockdown. So I say combat jumping.

hmmmm i hate to admit this but my damn arguement for hobo doesnt stand cause he is originally a bloody troller...damn...hmmmm need pick something else and i ll be back
Hehe */empathy troller imaginary will eat him alive and his scrapper in teh arena
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, my Scrapper and another Scrapper beat both Imaginary and his Energy Melee/Invuln tank friend in the arena after S4. Actually we trounced them. Our Regen and recharge were destroyed by Lingering Rad, we were debuffed to hell and we had an Energy Melee tank with two Extreme damage attacks wailing on us and taunting. Yet if I recall correctly the score was something like 7-1(maybe 2) in our favour, I didn't even have reconstruction back then so all I had for defence was Dull Pain.
Defiant's PvP expert eh...? -

[ QUOTE ]
I disagree. People would abuse it too much.
Besides, a PvP build will always perform well in PvE.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually I'd like to point you out to my new thread on the Scrapper forum, while not neccessarily [censored], Chives would indeed be 10 times worse in PvE with that build.
edit: How would it be abused? Make it an automatic switch when you enter and leave a PvP zone. -
[ QUOTE ]
Erm I think its a waste to run tactics and focussed accuracy, IMO it'd be better to keep tactics, but get darkness mastery pool, Its SO much better than body mastery in PvP and PvE. The hold that you get will work great on squishies alike in PvP. Dark blast does nice damage, and tenebrous tentacles....nuff said.
[/ QUOTE ]
Tactics is for Warburg +perception, Focused accuracy gives +perception and resistance to accuracy debuff, so I'll be laughing at Rads and Darks. Impale is an immobilise with high damage and -fly, that's everything I'd want out of a hold. Energy Torrent has knockback, which when a well prepared squishie is -fly'd I can keep them knocked down for the kill.
The combined +perception makes me a stalker killer, and I'll hardley ever miss, Tactics gives resistance to fear and confuse too, something I can't get from Integration.
You actually have to be silly to take Dark over Body, I can't be having those SRs and Ice tanks running around. -

Here ladies and gentlemen I present to you the uber-whirling death machine... of death. PvP build as you might be able to see on first look, if not then look elsewhere!
Any comments? Is this not better than anything you could come up with for PvP? This build is mainly for Warburg/level 50 action.
Of course I'd never spec into this, I love Moment of Glory, Spine Burst and Tough too much. -
That's be so great, then I could make Chives into an even bigger killing machine.
