Quote:Gee...thanks...It'd help if you noticed that I never said use this build...I said here's my build, as requested. I spoke with them in game and they asked for mine and I shared. I already said through PM that it had purples and such that could easily be substituted.Ack. Don't listen to Scorcharina. That build is upper end and there's no way that someone two weeks in could afford it. Maybe if you're some sort of uber marketeer. Maybe.
You have some great advice in your post, so hopefully they'll get the help they were requesting... -
Here is the build I promised. It's not necessarily the best out there, but I love playing it.

It appears this is a common issue...now the volume only gets turned up when there are still a few glowies left to be found (and headphones aren't an options when you are trying to listen for said small creature to wake up from a nap).

Ok, as I get to closer to 50, I figured I would start looking at my final build. Here is my first shot at the Night Widow.
What do you think?

Ahh...thanks! I searched the wiki, but wasn't looking in the right place. It doesn't give the max defense specifically for Widows (which is my current project), but I'd venture a guess its the same as the stalker, PB, Warshade set. And the 45% soft cap was the number I was looking for.
Thanks again! -
My searchfu is failing me...is there a single location that tells me what the caps (and soft caps) are for Defense and Damage Resistance for all ATs?
I'm guessing after a lot of search in the individual AT forums I could put something together, but was hoping someone else had already done the legwork. -

Ok, never done a dual build toon in the past, but I've been working on a Widow that I'm trying it out on. After hitting level 30, I realized I don't like the way I have my Night Widow build and want to make changes. I'd also like to change the Fortunata build, but it's not as important to me now.
So, my question is how does the respec work? Do I end up using separate respec's for each of the builds? I have a few vet respec's saved up, but don't really want to waste them. -
Well, I'm now at level 18 with the Widow and I think I'm going to start with the Fortunata build. I'll definitely add the 2nd build as a NW, but I realized how much I prefer to stand back and target, rather than chase after everything.
As a bonus, my hubby also started a Widow and we are running them as a level pact. I can see some extreme damge ahead of us. -
Thanks all! There is a lot of great feedback here.
My Widow is still at a lowly level 2, so I have some time to think it through, but I definitely like the idea of using the dual builds. I've never seen a need for it on any of my other toons, but it totally makes sense here.
Another patron power question...with all the powers that are available for the widows, are the patron powers really used that much? If so, which set? -
After years of basically ignoring the Red side, I'm starting to play around with it again. I got a Corruptor up to level 45 back when you had to get a Villain to 50 to unlock the VEATs and then took a break from the game before they switched it.
Now I'm back and decided to try a Widow. I figured I'd poke around the boards to gather some info as I level her up and now realize I have some choices to make. I've always been fond of high AoE toons (fire/fire blaster, fire/fire tank, spines/WP scrapper), but think I could be happy with a very high single target damage toon.
So, my question is...do I go Night Widow or Fortunata? It seems that most stick to the Widow side and they seem to have higher survivability (which I love), but I wanted to get some opinions from both sides on what makes the toons fun.
As a side note, if I decide to take my Widow hero side after level 20, how does that affect my ability to pick the patron pool powers? -
Quote:As Katten said, Ageless works with 0 end, so you can use it right after you nuke. However, I don't know if it was a bug or WAI, but I used Inferno right after hitting Ageless one time and I never crashed and never detoggled. I haven't tried it again (I guess I'll try it tonight when running tips), but if its WAI, that will make it all the better of a choice.Has anyone tried Ageless Destiny with crash nukes? Is it worth it? Or is it still better to just carry blues?
And now that I have all my tier 3 complete and 2 tier 4s, I may go back and work on the Clarion Destiny to have as a backup when running high mez content. -
I have a level 50 plants/thermal troller that I loved leveling up. I'd lean toward either the plants or electric primary since you'd also be to work in the confuse or sleep purple sets, which are easier to come by and both sets are fun, in my opinion.

Another piece to the puzzle...
I've been running my main, my fire/fire/fire blaster, who is an AoE monster, through the trials for the last 2 weeks. The first few days I received 1 Very Rare and 3 or 4 Rares. Since then I have been on an unbelievable Uncommon streak. Since reading about "participation" based rewards I tried a few times to spend a little extra effort hitting more targets to no avail. Then it dawned on me...
The first few days most people didn't have Judgement. So, I'd load into BAF in phase 1 and people would be slowly working through the mobs to get the first 40 kills. I'd come in and fire away with fireball and stand there with my hot feet and blazing aura, affect large numbers.
Now, with my slow loading computer, I get into phase 1 and everyone has used their Judgement powers and its pretty much over, no real time to affect anything. I'm thinking the participation in phase 1 has some heavy weight to it. -

Quote:I have this same question/request. My actual playtime is limited, so for me to spend the hour or so I may have to play the game searching thru the individual screens for each power/level to see what each of the pets do doesn't sit well. However, I have plenty of time during the day, when I can't get on the gameThanks for reposting the guide here, it'll help. Not enough numbers info elsewhere, that I can find. Are there any solid numbers on what the pets can do for you as support and such? Or is it pretty much going to be like the characters on the wiki?
, to plan and create comparisons.
So, I'd like to say THANK YOU so much Dispari for all the effort you've put into this guide, its made my tracking chart creation very easy! And if anyone has further information on the pets buffs/attacks/etc I'd love to see it. -
Well, I was going to post a similar thread/question, but saw this, so I'll just add on.
My main/namesake is a fire/fire/fire blaster, who I have built as more of a blapper. I have both PBAoE auras as well as FSC and Combustion, so I like to be in the middle of the mobs. Currently I have Pyronic Judgement slotted (I have a thing for fire...) and Reactive Interface, along with Radial Musculature tier 4 Alpha. I'm just starting to unlock Lore and Destiny, so I hadn't looked to deep into them yet. Now that I'm closer, my real uncertainty is Lore.
I obviously already have quite a bit of damage going, so I'm thinking I want to add to my survivability. Any recommendations on which pet type?
Thoughts on Destiny would also be welcome -
Does it exist anywhere?
Dispari has a great guide on the Incarnate slots as a whole, but I'm looking for more detailed information on the Lore Pets. For instance, the Seer set, you get a Augur, Diviner and/or Seeker. They are boss, lt and buff, but what type of damage and what type of buffs do they provide? -
Quote:Good to know how much you got on that failed run...I forgot to check before I had to log to put my son to bed.One Failed Lambda run, unlocked 36% of Interface slot and 5 Threads. I got curious and used a Thread and some inf to buy Incarnate XP. I got 50,000 Incarnate XP roughly 4%, as I amnow at 40% of my slot open. You judge if it is worth it, I don't think so myself.
But I had to Log to get ready pick up my niece from school.
Edit: OK, now I realize that you posted this earlier in the day, so its not the run we did, but I guess its still a good reference. -
[ QUOTE ]
I'd rather run a hard as heck solo TF given by the Tailor to get these items with at least a certaintly of a costume drop. This NOT getting them with as many alts that I have and the time I spend playing every day is just maddening.
[/ QUOTE ]
Amen to that! This would be a great idea for those who are costume crazy.
