I hope Psygon is okay it's been a while since they were seen.
anyone seen Psygon? -
get the grav to stackem all up together. just make sure the team attacks the same one.
-
Quote:Musta missed that part of the conversation or it happened on vent.
Because we had already talked last map of "screw it, just rush to the end" for the last map. :0 -
I think I can try to make it more about the contact and the player than the protaganist.
-
While admittedly I picked the worst sets for a stalker for my first one and tend to fall into the Stalker meme! Forcing myself to finish the run with that stlaker has made me a better player. If I'm not the team leader ask before scouting, and if I'm told no scrap it out as best as I can. Case in point. last week on the LGTF I asked
"Want me to go to the end?" SatHam's response.."Why aren't you there already!"
Which is why I enjoy Isos so much. It gives me a chance to improve my skills as a player with all the AT's. By playing with veteran players I learn whats expected and what get complained about.
So if I'm doing something weird let me know. I am not so arrogant to think I know every thing about this game....but I'm willing to learn. -
Like I said I am willing to look at tweaking mechanics if shown just cause. Not just it was hard!!!
And I will once I get a full rundown of the mistakes/typos. (I know I made grammar nazi's cringe with that)
As far as the rating. Part two had 6 rates average 5 stars and I personally know who the rates were from and it was 5 stars accross the board.
And since you mentioned her running twice now I'll take a look at that part with different ATs and see what happens.
Actually I wrote with the mind set of what would I do if I were the "bad guy" and controlling the character, in an attempt to force the AI to be less A and more I. -
I'd hang her from my yard arm....
too much?
Oh well it looks awesome already faved on dA. -
Personally I like wips, but I think something like this should be kept under wraps maybe leak a couple.
You're the artist you pick. -
I can definatley tone down the number of accolytes and toss some LTs in there for "lesser accolytes" or something.
The problem with Clear mind bothers me and needs to be looked at.
I am waiting to get a full report on Part II before I fix it.
I'm glad that my story is coming through more so now that the typos are fixed now to fiddle with the game mechanics.I wish we could control more it.
-
Any color should work for me I use the villian skin so it's all good. as long as the typo fix is different from the rest of the text..
Can I ask one favor for those helping to fix these arcs. don't rate them until after the author says they are fixed.
Part was 5 star averaged now 4.. meaning someone 3 starred it
And I realize that I have a different concept of fun from others... part two is supposed to be more challenging..and in honesty it's part of the story to fail.
It's not supposed to make the heroes feel all warm and fuzzy. It's to see how far they will go to save what they percieve as an innocent. not everything is a comedy. Meaning they all lived happily ever after. Sometimes stories are tragedies where the "good guy" dies and thats it. -
Zamuel...would it be possible for you to somehow Highlight the changes tot he typos.
The problem I have with my text is I can't see the typos anymore. and when I look at your changes it's a bit of strain to find what is different. -
What He said.
cause I can't express myself in words at this point. -
Quote:Actually there are only 11 succubae in that map.
Look, I'm not worried if you change stuff or not. The Emp. Defender following me around used Clear Mind twice during the whole mission, plus I had to get to her first. There were about 20 Confuse using MOBs in that mission (a small map). I stood around most of the mission unable to attack anything. If that is your intent for this mission that's okay, but it's not fun to play.
10 Acolytes and 1 Priestess. -
Typos fix'd before you posted I was in the middle of editing when you played it. 3 stars
Quote:See I can tell you didn't read it. If you payed attention the first mission is simply supposed to be just go and watch. You are not "supposed" to be able to interact with anything. I hate to spoil anything but the damage is already done the second you say yeah show me the story. If you play part II you you find out that wasn't anything you could do.Story issues:
Time travel. Please don't take it personally; it's really not my cup of tea. The idea of going back in time and seeing a situation and knowingly altering the past is probably avoidable by not going back in time in the first place. I think my character, as a hero, at about the time the contact was telling me to go back in time and rob a police station would have said, "This is your problem, lady. YOU fix it." And then I'd have thrown her out a window.
Quote:Contact appearance -- contact is blind, but is wearing clear glasses. Either go with no glasses or dark glasses.
Quote:DIFFICULTY / MECHANICS ISSUES
Missions 1 and 2 -- overuse of Confuse powers. I'd change the standard bosses into another power set and save Confuse powers for the boss at the end. In mission 2, due to my difficulty settings, every encounter had a boss with Confuse. After rescuing Empathic Eve, these encounters became "Defenestrator stands around and takes damage while the ally does all the work."
Again the choice of that particular boss is essential to the story considering who the main Villain actually turns out to be. This is an off shoot of established real world Mythology. Sorry the Succubae stay hence the Emp being there she will put CM on you.
Quote:Mission 4 -- could not finish the mission. I think the problem you're having with getting glowies to spawn is that the map does not support three glowies + three hostages. Check the limitations of the map and cut out what you need to.
Quote:Also, I would bump Hell-Cat down from an Elite Boss to a standard Boss. She made the end of the mission too easy. -
Seems to be a tie for the Mender Tesseract and Respec trial.
So meet in Ouroboros for the the Tesseract at 5pm EST. lvl 25-34 for xp.
then If I have time I'll run a Speedspec.. level appropriate for the toons we bring. -
the good news is that the lag isnot as bad the bad news is it's still a noticeable frame rate decrease.
heres my new CoH helper info.

Three things..the "new" drivers for the audio are either the same or older than the old ones.
I still say the animations should default to off.
The lack of lag could simply be the result of several reboots and clearing of any memory leaks. -
Undated Video drivers
Updated sound drivers.
and I very upset that the automatic updater missed sp2. burning the image onto a disk now and will install as soon as that finishes, then I will see if the animation still cause lag.
I am not holding my breath, considering that I had this problem when i14 was new and the drivers were up to date and sp2 wasn't even out yet. -
Quote:it isn't the animations that are causing your comp to lag. noone else is experiencing it. it is something with your system that is the problem. do us a favor, get all your updates for everything on your comp, then run coh helper again and post it. also make sure to do a disc cleanup and defrag after getting all the updates, then do the coh helper report.
All you guys keep saying is it's not the animations....
But when I finally get the animations to turn off the lag goes away.
This is the only place I experience any lag. I don't even lag out during Rikti invasions in Atlas Park on virtue.
Rule number one of finding a solution to a problem.
If you do something and it fixes the issue, undo what you did to see if issue returns. if it does that is obviously the solution.
The simplest answer is probably the right one. -
Not to be rude FX but do you think I would be complaining about it if I hadn't already exhausted every possible location and power supression.
I have even gone so far as go to the farthest corner of the mose desolated map and used the AE accolade pad.
it really comes down to there is no reason to have the animations set to default to on. -
None of these things help....NONE.
It's so bad I cant even close the editor.
Fix this!!!
I can admit that the players should have to adjust some settings to optimize the game.
I have been trying to get the animation to stop while editing my arc for over twenty minutes so I can continue the editing.
I can't close that section of the editor because thats the section I want to edit.
Just turn off the animations in the editor!!!!!! -
Quote:I highlighted it for these purposes. I added the forth wall breaker under the mission intro text in big red letters. This is perfect. You mention the amount of time using the character's voice yet it is highlighted in a different color for the player. You can probably do the same with mission 2. While some people will have out of character warnings underneath the text (it's the author's choice), you can also mention that you have timed missions in the overall arc description for when they search for the arc.
-
okay heres what it gave me. When I open the section that has a character in it my framerate floors.

Quote:mission 2 I added the text " Once you get there you need to hurry and stop the ritual before the Cult finishes it. I have no idea what would happen if they succeed."
@ScooterTwo, one more issue I had that I forgot to mention was that you had timed missions that don't give warnings before the mission actuallys start. They were quite doable but that's usually one of the more disliked things an author can do in the MA.
mission 5 " Keep your mind on the task at hand, we are trying to stop the greatest evil from being unleashed on the world. Let's hope you can get to her before the police do. I'm going to put you as close to arrest point as possible, you should have about half an hour before the Longbow show up on the scene."
I'm not sure what else to do here accept to break the fourth wall and put in something at the bottom of the intro or send off text "Warning this mission will be timed!"
Also the rest of the typos are fixed and added custom "hellions" to mission four so they scale properly. I think I'll add them to mission five too just so it doesn't get woncky on the scaling. -
I complained about this in i14 beta...again i15 beta.
Please please Please please.
I beg the devs, Positron, BackAlleyBrawler, Castle, Synapse, Sunstorm, pohsyb, anyone who will listen, to make the animations for Characters in the Mission Architect interface window to default to off.
When the window is open and the animation are on it causes an insane amout of lag. Setting do not effect this. The lag is so bad it takes several attempts to click "stop animation" under the character for it to take affect.
This greatly affects my playtime making me not want to even mess with the AE system all.
I do not know if anyone else has this problem orhas a fix I am totally open to suggestions tips anything to fix this.
