Yup, as i suspected it's the latter. You occasionally make posts that appear to show some actual insight and thought, so i can only guess that those topics are simply areas where your mind hasn't yet locked everything into rigid pigeonholes. Yet.

Well the old Flares animation meant that fire Blasters were constantly surrendering to enemies and then treacherously attacking them a half second later when they used their powers. After all, the first part of the animation had them raising their hands over their head in the surrender pose. And your Martial Arts Scrapper is probably making all sorts of lewd propositions to various monsters if you look at only the first part of some of those animations. Or how about the various ancient and modern militaries who all start(ed) their salutes with the same gesture?

Using the Stroke Victim Smiley in place of punctuation doesn't make your remarks any less vapid and trite. (Yeah, it's usually considered the Wink Smiley, but when used in your posts, well...)

Actually, as long as you're willing to try and meet the minimum requirements (for example, having an Alpha boost slotted for ATF & TM2TF) i'd be more than happy to have you join up on any Incarnate content. Many of the people i play with will also invite almost anyone who wants to join for almost any content. Some of them will invite anyone who asks, and the rest usually do the same after first inviting anyone from the channel first and then fill in any spots left. (Nowadays i find most of my groups of friends tend to fall along global channel rather than SG lines.)

As far as i'm concerned it, whatever it may be, is for you if you want it. Dechs Kaison and Smurphy take the same approach for the most part as well, just to mention two others.

Or you're once again ignoring reality in favor of the crudely simplified caricature in your head.

You mean like kiting Ghost Widow in the STF using taunt and any ranged attacks you might have? If you do that she basically never fires off her PBAoE heal as long as the Tanker maintains aggro and distance.

Similarly, most Tankers i've run the ATF with use taunt and general aggro control to move Battle Maiden when a patch spawns near her position. A good Tanker on the ATF actually leverages their inherent to make meleeing Battle Maiden easier. Battle Maiden doesn't appear to have particularly high regen or resistances, so as long as you maintain a decent amount of DPS against her she goes down easily enough. The mechanics of the encounter mean that using some mobility and situational awareness yields a better DPS than standing still and blindly cycling attacks the entire fight.

So it appears the most effective current strategy is to run the timer out, wipe out all the ambushes, click all the glowies but one, surround the last glowy with as many pets and damage/res debuff patches as possible, then then click on the last glowy and try to take out Director 11 in less than 30 seconds.

Seems straightforward enough if perhaps a bit tricky to pull off.

So I asked Jen why Empathy? She said, I can always be of help no matter what the situation. Damage heal, standing around in a PvP zone clear mind the blasters, in Atlas Park chatting forting and ABing the lowbies, plus she is always on a team.
So I am curious does anyone else have this obsession not with an archetype, but with a power set, and why? I think the results might be intresting to read.
Healers and Empaths are not the same thing.
Empathy is the easiest set to make a healer with, but i've seen healer builds that were not Empaths.
Empaths i generally appreciate. Healers not so much.

    Anyway, back to the question...
One of my favorite powersets is Dark Miasma. Or at least i have more Dark Miasma users over level 30 than any other powerset.
Other than that there are a couple sets i've used multiple times, but generally i rarely use the same powerset more than a couple times on different alts who make it past the twenties.

To be fair those hobos really needed killing too.

i may go see Tron again, but probably not in 3D. i was lucky in that a friend had some movie passes that were about to expire so we used the passes and didn't actually have to pay the $15 that seeing it in 3D would normally have cost.

In short: you make a lot of posts, but I don't see you putting any work into resolving this problem.

And I say this not as some manner of an apparently perceived forum cartel, but as someone who has also had painful connection issues that prevented me from playing the game. But I worked it out, instead of just griping about it. Seriously, some of the problems I have had playing this game just curl my toes--but I got through it by working with the Paragon Studios/NCSoft staff and other players.

So, what's it going to be?

x10 is special. He tends to act out in ways that make little rational sense except as negative attention-seeking ploys. He also seems to have learned just enough about technology to misapply basic tools/misinterpret basic concepts while apparently thinking he's an expert, and then spouts off rhetoric using some technical terminology without showing any real understanding of the underlying principles or actual real world function. More or less an object lesson in how "a little knowledge (without actual understanding) can be a dangerous thing."

The thing is i'm not sure whether this is an elaborate act just for the purpose of baiting other people, or if he really is unable to form an accurate understanding of how things work. It could be that he started off expecting to be lionized for his brilliance and when that failed decided he'd at least make sure he was remembered. (Rather be hated than ignored.) Still, his posting history clearly shows that he enjoys playing dumb and antagonizing others even if it's not clear how much is deliberate and how much is genuine incompetence, and in the end it doesn't really matter anyway. i think The Bard put it best: "A tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." So even if he, like many others in the past, doesn't actually follow through on taking his toys and going home i'm still done reading his posts.

    tl;dr version...

    You're really serious?

You think posting in threads over a month old attempting to ask questions about download speed of people who have made one or two posts on the forums *ever* is going to accomplish something useful?

And are you actually downloading multiple clients?
That's an... interesting... approach. It is one of the more unusual ways of slowing the download for yourself and others. It never even occurred to me to ever do that. i generally use flash drives or copying the install across the local network for installing multiple copies myself. Much faster. i also keep a copy of a recent client version on a flash drive as backup in case i need to do an install. Usually takes no more than five minutes to patch and verify after copying it over.

You do realize that gender can be a technical term that does not always refer to a binary choice between layout and type of reproductive organs and other sexual characteristics, right? Gender in regards to the three character models is not solely referring to whether they have bulbous breasts.

All that blabber you just said there, I keep telling my daughter that's what we call an ASSUMPTION. Stating as fact knowledge we have generated based on incomplete observation. You are wrong. As stated in the movie you haven't seen, Kevin knows how to let programs out of the grid and has kept that knowledge safe from CLU on his ID disc.
Oh, no no no no. Totally wrong. There's no way Durr would continue arguing that he knows that everybody who has seen the movie and explains to him why what he assumes is a plot hole based on not having seen the movie at all is wrong, and that he know it was not explained, despite what the people who have seen it told him, because he read or watched a review somewhere and that secondhand, very incomplete knowledge is superior to that we know from having actually seen the movie. He obviously is not doing that at all, because he explicitly said that he's more than willing to revise his opinions.

So obviously he's basing his disagreement with those who actually saw the movie on the fact that he knows better than we do, so therefore he has a better source than a review or actually watching the movie. i'm guessing he just got together with the actors, writer, producer, and director and had a long discussion about what they really meant over lunch or something. At which point they revealed to him that they put in all the inconsistencies and plot holes due to a combination of drunkenness, incompetence, and contempt for the fans. (The exact proportions varying.) See? Durr actually does know more about the movie than everyone else.

Gotta respect a guy who is always correct and has the facts to back it up.

Much like the Praetorian versions of Calvin Scott and Infernal, just to cite two examples.

Still, i guess they could've named him Cuddlevine in an homage to the original Goatee/Evil Mirror version of Praetoria.

It's because of what each society has labeled them... If you are trying to say that Praet Hami is a completely different type of monster, the question for me becomes; Why would two mirrored but separate societies come up with the same name for "different" monsters?

Like I said, if you want to say Praet. Hami is another form of the same genus, that would be more logical to me.

    That is all.

    .
Ummm, are you overlooking that in both cases they're called The Hamidon because they are the highly mutated form of Hamidon Pasalima, the scientist who became "The Hamidon"? After all, Hamidon's hardly the only "person" to go by the same name in both worlds.

Also, Hamidon is a pokemon, and the Praetorian version had a much better trainer and more time.

At launch we had the three genders and the height and build sliders for adjusting the model. Everything else was costume pieces. Obviously it's much better now.

To get out of the Grid one just has to leave through the Portal? Yes.
If the above is False then the Identity Disc is needed to modify the Portal? Above is true, so question is technically irrelevant, yet also relevant when true. (See below.)
The Identity Disc is created within the grid (not a spoiler as this is in Tron)? Created from the owner's data, yes.
The Identity Disc of Kevin Flynn is special because... he came from the real world, thus having data from an actual person? It's special because he's the creator of the grid and has various superuser privileges beyond simply being a user. (Being a user already confers some special qualities compared to normal programs, but isn't really used in the movie.)
Sam Flynn has an identity disc? Yes.

That is all true and that creates a giant plot-hole. Uh, what? Still not seeing it.
    See bold.
