While not ideal i think that later expanding the Lore tree to include other types of summons is acceptable. Assuming that later is not a year or more...

Well some have stated that Hamidon is also an Incarnate, but i haven't read anything that confirms this myself.

It does seem that the Well presently doesn't care how its power gets used just so long as it is used. Thus the current situation where the Well is happy to have those granted its power expending that power against each other. The question is whether this is merely a preliminary step to directing the Well's power against something other than its pawns/agents, or if the whole point is simply to release more of the Well's power into the multiverse regardless of how it's expended.

When i remember to do so i usually do this. Mostly i remember when prepping inside a mission door or while waiting for a Hamidon or Mothership raid to start. i don't think i've ever had anyone ask me to not do it.

Well, okay, they are finally increasing the radius of the MM version of Twilight Grasp. I guess that's something I asked for.

Well, i didn't actually ask for City of Heroes. i mean, i was intrigued by the premise of a superhero-themed MMO, but the earlier pre-Alpha/Alpha stuff i'd seen was so-so and i was dubious about how well the game would emulate superheroic action considering how limited most MMOs were in allowing players to move through their environments at that time. (i had a number of friends into games like Evercrack and the like and had watched them play a bit.) Then i sort of lost track of the game's development until shortly before launch. Shortly after CoH launched i decided to pick up a copy and give my first MMO a try.

It wasn't what i'd asked for, but it was better than i'd hoped. Oddly enough i've been subscribed ever since.

It sounds rather depressing that you've pretty much never gotten what you've asked for. i hope that you've at least occasionally gotten things you loved even if they weren't what you asked for.
  10. i found out about Necro pets' powers receiving the same tinting as the summons when i made a Norse-themed Necro/Storm MM and tinted most of the Necro powers blue-white.

Having my tier one cauldron-born zombies breathing out clouds of icy mist suited the winter feeling of the Storm powers perfectly.

Someone hasn't been keeping up with events related to the game but not actually inside the game for at least several months i see. As already mentioned the EU servers were migrated to hardware in the US some time ago. Which apparently has resulted in reduced latency for many EU players due to the old EU servers being located in one of the few EU countries to actually have a worse data infrastructure than the US.

Personally i look forward to more servers and players to team with/on. i already enjoy teaming with people in Australia, Japan, and other Asian countries, so more EU players will add to the fun. If nothing else the increased diversity of slang will make things more amusing. Besides, EU players will be able to show off your crippling latency issues to people i've teamed with from the literal other side of the planet who don't experience it for some reason.

(Several months back there was a player who insisted that transatlantic ping times are cripplingly bad if EU players log onto US servers despite people who regularly log onto US servers from the EU as well as other side of the freaking planet not having those issues. But it doesn't count because he's an expert, so his assertions trump the real world. *waves at Residentx10* )

The swords and minions are deadly to my squishy characters. You make it sound like no one should ever die to them, yet I do. And I cannot hover blast them because hover causes the halberds to spawn in mid air and take out teammates who are unable to see them.
Uh, i take it you're already familiar with the Halberds having a spherical area of effect? It's not hard on a ranged character to stay high enough to make the odds of a teammate running into an aerial patch quite low. On one ATF i had two other teammates who used flight powers during the BM fight and neither we nor the non-flying team members had any greater difficulty with airborne than ground-based patches. Actually, my characters have fewer issues with airborne patches than the ones one the ground as long as those who are flying stay more than ten feet or so up. Those that fly are dropped out of the patches by the -fly before they can take significant damage and my non fliers who are hopping about high enough to hit airborne patches also have fewer problems surviving than when they land on a ground-based patch.

It might be unique to the assorted mostly PuG ATF teams i've generally run with. Once or twice it's been useful to suggest that fliers try to maintain some altitude. In my experience that works rather well on most PuGs.

Offhand i would say it is not possible since damage and resistance works in a completely different manner than defense. The type(s) of damage an attack does is not a tag attached to the attack like defense tags. The way the combat engine works your request is not possible without rewriting the combat engine from the ground up. Not likely to happen.

*heh* Fair enough i suppose. For what it's worth you've probably made a wise choice that may benefit me in the future since i like to run all the SFs and TFs now and again.

Since you never finished it i'm guessing you must have read about how it ends? In actual practice what's around the AV doesn't necessarily make it as easy as you seem to think it is, but i'm sure you already know that from experience, neh?

Not going to happen. As juvenile as it may be i find it far more entertaining to call it the WTF or Whiskey Tango Foxtrot than the WST. So as far as i'm concerned it shall remain the Weekly Task Force.

Ran Ice Mistral a couple days ago with no problem. Obviously it's not a regular problem or i would've heard about the issue far more before this. Still, i can sympathize with the frustration of a bugged SF.

Also, there is a section of the forums called Technical Issues & Bugs. Posting the thread there would've been a bit more appropriate.

My 43 Earth/Storm joined a Numina team where half were there for the WTF NotW. Number of people kicked: 0.

Last night i joined a LRSF team that was at least half 50(+1) and several 50s no Alpha slotted. Number of people kicked: 0.
We were making a MoLRSF attempt. One player died near the end of the first mission so we restarted. Then they died in the mission to take down Ms. Liberty on the second try. Number of people kicked: still 0.

After that i joined a SMSF on a whim where at least four out of seven were under 50. Number of people kicked: 0.

Are my anecdotes about teams interesting, or is it irrelevant to what you want to assert?

i really haven't had much difficulty finding teams recently even for lower level content, and the two servers i play on the most are Virtue and Champion. i've had little to no difficulty finding teams on either server, but i do use global channels for that. Although i have found that i get a lot more tells asking if i'm looking for team when playing redside.

Is this a recent thing that multiple people have had a problem with your costume?*
It's really amusing to me that someone who has "ERP" and "sub" in their bio would object to a skimpy costume. Maybe something about the half-naked corpse concept is tweaking parts of their kink-complex that they're not comfortable with.

*i would use the Player Notes feature to mark those who complain. The odds are fairly good it's one person or maybe a few of the same people complaining while logged in on different alts.
