  1. As i recall all the cowboy styled hats have hair in the back.
There are very few hat options that work for bald characters.

That is a point. Jack may have taken over development of CoH, but he wasn't the one who started the whole thing rolling.
  3. One of mine has "Dark/Ice with Leadership and commentary. Commentary optional."
Really it varies with the AT and specific alt. i have several built around chaos and absurdity for when i'm in the mood to have silly fun and utterly crush my foes.
Their LFT note usually alludes to this.
  4. Welcome to the game, Dylan!

Lots of good folks on this server.

i second trying Doms if you like Blasters.
i'm also partial to Controllers and Defenders.

City of Heroes was the first MMO i tried and it's still the only one i've subscribed to.
In the forums and in game it still has the best community of any MMO that i've seen.
    Enjoy your stay.

    Best Debuff Set?

i thought that -dmg and -res effects were resisted by the target's initial resistance to the damage type regardless of current debuffed values; which is why resistance doesn't have defense's susceptibility to cascade failure.

I work for a company that has its headquarters in the UK. My office is in the US. One of our sales teams just sent out a pat-on-the-back type email for the great week they had. In this email, there are some pictures of the folks on the team. One of them is making a two-fingered gesture which is quite harmless here but somewhat rude in the UK.

And yes, there were several of our UK colleagues cc'ed on that email.
Odd since the normal American version of that "V" gesture has the hand with the palm out (peace sign), and the rude version has the hand with the palm towards the gesture maker (flipping off).

Allegedly one of the Presidents Bush was in a motorcade/parade in Australia and was making the "V" with the hands the wrong way 'round, but i have no idea if that's true. However, it's rather funny if it did happen.

    The Deadwing Lullabye, Virtue
According to the Paragon Wiki page on Dark Astoria:
    Quote:
Once an idyllic commercial center, much like Talos Island and Steel Canyon, this area thrived as people bustled about their daily lives. Even the presence of the pastoral Moth Cemetery did not detract from the beauty of this area. The Rikti Invasion came and went, and the people in this peaceful neighborhood were relatively untouched by the devastation.
However, while the Heroes of Paragon were busy rebuilding the city, the trickster god of the Banished Pantheon stumbled upon something... beneath the sod and graves of Moth Cemetery lay an ancient god, far older than those of the Pantheon, and far more powerful. Wishing to use this power to release him and his fellow gods, he ordered all of his followers to invade the area and seize control of it.
The city authorities and Heroes, already reduced in number and staggering from the Rikti onslaught, had no choice but to relinquish the area to the Pantheon and wall it off. Within the walls, the army of Husks and Shaman ravaged the zone, tore the ground apart and sacrificed every man, woman and child in their efforts to wake the god Mot. But all their efforts were in vain. To this day, Lughebu's soldiers search for a way to wake the sleeper, while the spirits of those who once lived there wander about, unable to sleep.
That would place it somewhere between November 2002 and May 2004. However, i seem to recall reading some lore in other places that implies Astoria became Dark Astoria decades ago...

The usual retort is that they're using the SI prefixes incorrectly!!!! But that's not true if you remember these are really base 2 numbers. And why try to redefine a unit of measurement after its been in widespread use for, what, half a century? There isn't one.

    So in short:
    Kilobyte = 1024 bytes (the world), or 2 ^ 10 bytes
Kilobyte = 1000 bytes (hard disk manufacturers)
Kibibyte = a brand of dog food
That's been my take on it. HD manufacturers trying to play the rename game can go down a yottabyte of kilos of Parisian sewer water.

Also, i thought a kibibyte was 1024 chibis.

The stateside meaning i would venture is the same as that in England.

*huh* Among the people i know in the U.S. we're aware of the archaic meaning, but generally think of the English meaning. Much like how most people know of the archaic meaning of "gay", but it's not the first definition that comes to mind when the word is used.

WoC's damage is flagged to not notify, but it seems defeating a mob will always notify other members of the spawn if they're close enough.

Hell, some people will confuse the two and think 1000% increase is the same as 1000 times more. It worked on DeepBlue.
