Sorry i missed this one, but a close friend's birthday party had priority.
i'll try to make sure i'm at the next one since 81 is a more significant number for me anyway. (i'm a square like that.) -

Quote:Hmmm, did not notice that, and didn't mean to have Mids' do that. *hmph* Oh well. i thought something was a little off.Err hmm...I see what you're doing. You're counting the force feedback proc as being a permanent bonus. Even if you spam Gale (NOT RECOMMENDED) and manage to hit the target cap EVERY time, there is still only an 80% chance of the proc firing, so I would not include that as a permanent value in your calculation.

Quote:Hmmm, by just swapping Combat Jumping for Hasten i'll have perma-Hasten. The only reason i'd avoided it before was because i don't care much for the current VFX of Hasten.I can't comment much on the grav portion, but here are some initial thoughts on the storm portion:
Since you're not going all the way for a soft capped build (and if you decide to build that way, you should slot Steamy Mist for defense), i think the 6 slots in tactics is overkill. In my experience the chance for build up in particular is next to useless.
I think Storm benefits from having high recharge and since you're not going all the way for soft capped defense, I would drop combat jumping and pick up hasten.
Quote:Building off of the idea that Storm benefits from recharge, I would gladly sacrifice the recharge bonus in Freezing Rain in order to get more actual recharge in there. You want that power up as often as possible
Quote:Also, against targets that are immune to KB (read AVs) Tornado is actual substantial damage output for a fire and forget power, and I would seriously consider trying to work it into the build somewhere. I would probably drop one of the leadership toggles or in order to add it in. If you're too tied to the leadership toggles, I would consider dropping Snow Storm.
Quote:I assume you will go cardiac for your Alpha slot, otherwise I predict endurance troubles if you plan on running all 3 leadership toggles.
Hmmm, if i swap out Combat Jumping for Hasten and take Tornado instead of Maneuvers...

Hmmm, Hasten has a 3.8 second overlap before factoring in animations and the like.
Tornado has 14 second recharge and 30 second duration with each capable of dealing up to 1104 damage over 30 seconds. Not bad for hard targets since i can have two Tornadoes out most of the time. Roughly 73dps for about 3 seconds of cast time out of every 30.
Ranged defense drops to 25%, but Hurricane adds -36% tohit debuff. (Still decent despite purple patch and debuff resistances.)
i really hope power pool tinting is in the near future, but i think i'll take Hasten anyway. With Hasten Indomitable Will is available almost perma.
Yeah, i may go with this build. -
Quote:Um, no. If we haven't ignited the atmosphere with the fusion bomb tests then we won't be able to do it with an antimatter bomb. What, exactly, do you think is different about an antimatter explosion that it could ignite the atmosphere when various thermonuclear and fusion devices couldn't?Only advantage an antimatter bomb has over a nuke is no lasting radiation. Of course, there hasn't been an antimatter bomb test so it could be more dangerous. Scientists assumed that a nuke would ignite the atmosphere and similar concerns could occur for an antimatter bomb test.

Oddly enough so is mine. Named Fumarole Pixie with the storm powers recolored to suggest ash clouds and volcanic fumes.
i think that illusion or mind control paired with TA or Storm would make for pretty good pixie combos. -
With the new Storm Elemental incarnate pets coming out i was thinking of bringing my Grav/Storm out of semi-retirement.
The build i'm considering is aimed at general team content with some soloing, not specifically incarnate content. It is partially a concept build inasmuch as i intend to stay with flight and teleportation for travel.
Suggestions and feedback welcome.

Quote:RF1: "You got Venture in my Friggin_Taser!"So this is like Disaster Movie uncomedy comedy, right?
Just because he said "INCARNATE CONTENT IS A GRINDFEST," it's hilarious?
I guess because he said something that vaguely supports some of your views against content, this is like George Carlin's ghost has written his take on issue 20.
To me, it just seems like a bunch of vague fake facts ("The population is fading!") mixed with things we all knew ("People are less likely to quit friends and groups") mixed with one outright lie ("Research has shown people hate content tied to groups").
This is the black hole of comedy unless you are wearing the same uniform of dissent as every other one of the 2-3 dozen people who hate raids. It reminds me of when Fox News attempted to do their own Daily Show and their only joke was "Hey, liberals are all hippies!"
Oh man, that must have been hilarious satire if you let your beliefs numb your sense of humor to the point of being vestigial. And this thread harkens back to that.

If the traditional religious end times come with all the bizarre changes like water turning into blood and all that then the world has started working on very different principles than what we've known the last few millenia. In that case perhaps shiny rocks will in fact become incredibly edible or otherwise useful.

Ooh, annoying.

Quote:Just an FYI, 1) and 2) are something the Devs have said they'd like to do, but require more time and coding than standard power customization. 3) is unlikely since those colors are not part of the power, but built into how the game indicates status/buff/debuff effects. 4) More alternate animations are likely, but only the Devs would know when. 5) Staff powers are something the Devs would like to do, but will take quite some time and resources since it would require all new core animations in addition to the individual attacks. Multiplied by three body types. That said, the Devs have confirmed at least one new powerset is coming soon(tm). 6) Yup, there are no holy blasting sets, nor are there any unholy blasting sets. Then again, while "holy" and "unholy" as basic concepts are pretty common in fantasy RPG settings they're generally not common in superheroic settings. 7) Not sure what Rad Armor would be, or how it would distinguish itself from existing sets. Same with Rad Melee. Even now you can simulate Rad Melee by recoloring Energy Melee. The only significant way i think Rad Melee would be different is that it would do more -def and less stun. And that's a purely metagame/power design theme difference, not a game lore/conceptual difference.Ahh okay finally found the right place, did not think it would be in the "for fun" area of the forums as I consider general community feedback regardless what it is more important then that. So I figured a "general" powers discussion area would make sense.
Anyway my bad people, will resubmit this into the right place
Most of the above is only my opinion, of course. -
Quote:It used to be that Quantum Flight was one of the few ways to easily hit the flight speed cap, which combined with the intangibility i suppose justified the very high endurance cost. Of course now that Fly puts you at the flight speed cap it seems less justifiable for a power in a Secondary set to have a far higher cost than the pool power equivalent. The fact that it grants flight in addition to intangibility is hardly a justification in an AT that already has Fly as an inherent power. If not for the cottage rule i'd say the Devs could improve Quantum Flight enormously simply by removing the +Fly and making it identical to Phase Shift.Peacebringer's heal also had its range buffed to 80 feet. Not all that great, but I'll take it. The lower range didn't make much sense. Someone should PM Black Scorpion or someone to note the endurance cost between the two phase powers are so out of whack. And also since the devs seem to be looking at Kheldian powers.
I won't hold my breath that this means other changes are on the way, though. -
This is relevant to my interests. Where was it announced?
