Everyone who cares or has ever cared about Tankers in this game is, as you put it, part of the problem.

You know what? You're so far past the point of anything resembling sanity at this point that really the only point at which your posts don't contradict each other is that pointless little dot you stick at the end of every single post.

Instead of putting together this airtight case that you claim you could make or doing anything else that would lend the slightest plausibility to your claims you just keep insisting that you don't have to prove anything since i guess you know it's true and that's all that counts. Or something. i guess.

There are many cases where an AT or powerset was buffed because players offered well-reasoned arguments as well as evidence and analysis to back it up. They didn't flail their arms wildly in the air claiming that they weren't going to bother offering any evidence because they were persecuted advocates of a change that the Devs refused to make out of spite. The only thing that approach gets you is being ignored as an incoherent fool, and rightly so.

*ugh* No more J_B for me. He's finally gone so far around the bend i can't even see where the gibbering emanates from any more.

(Or, as they used to post in the now archaic usenet parlance, *plonk*)

Um, the thing is that the TF is not getting deleted, but being removed from current open world content. By the rather slippery chronology CoH has her TF will now be from the past before her death. (Thus why it will be added to Ouroboros.) They are not deleting all instances in any event. For example she will continue to appear in the tutorial since that officially predates the events of SSA #1.

Nope. States and Psyche are not getting the 5th Column treatment. Most of their old arcs will still be available in Ouroboros if the other (relatively) recent revamps are anything to go by.

It doesn't help that the pet A.I. is so damn screwy, and has been for ages now. There is a reason that I never play Alpha anymore; it's more chore than fun, getting things to work the way they SHOULD, not the way they decide they want to go today.
Okay, i haven't noticed minions being that much more delicate in iTrials than regular content since the reduction in damage to minions from many iTrial attacks. i also wasn't aware that MM Def IO builds were even more penalized than all other ATs, who also have issues with defense being less effective. (Like my IOd out the wazoo Widow who can still be dropped in two hits without outside support. Not as often after getting all three shifts, but before that could be very squishy even with 55%+ defense.) Bodyguard mode being less useful in several trials and (non-unique) defense issues aside, most of these problems sound like general gameplay issues, not anything specific to Incarnate content, which is what the OP was on about.

Honestly, if Shubbie doesn't like the stories i'm not sure why they even play redside. The zones tend to be nearly as samey as blueside zones, but more consistently dingy, overcast, and/or run-down. And with fewer players.

People overall tend to prefer to think of themselves as being the good guys, so i don't see any effective way to get more people to play villains without offering disproportionate rewards for playing redside. i do think that redside has had better stories on average even if there is a lack of arcs aimed at satisfying baby-eating genocidal sociopaths who revel in cruelty, destruction, and violence for its own sake.* (Anything less just isn't EVIL enough.*)

St. Martial especially could use a facelift to make the all the main streets and public brighter and glitzier with the seamy parts being the back alleys and areas well off the main drag. Really it should be brighter, cleaner and flashier looking than Founders' Falls for anyone on the main roads or at the public attractions.

*These are not actually my views, but the views that are expressed by some players whenever redside content is discussed. Personally i find that sort of villainy to be simplistic and trite. To the extent that i make villains they tend to be more pragmatic and mercenary or hold ideals at odds with conventional laws, either due to their extremity or their divergence from the status quo or simply due to innate nature or insanity.

When are we getting it? Why havent it been released weeks ago?

at the VERY LEAST you could answer those simple questions, especially about -when- we're getting it...

Staff Fighting was, by far, the most anticipated new 'item' of i22.. You advertised it to be PART of i22 launch.. then you never gave it to us!? Get on it!

Stop mucking about with Vanity pets and stuff, sort out the things that you yourselves said would've come with i22 THEN you can do that other stuff..

Got a Question? Get an answer! Players helping players find information related to CoH/CoV.
i'm sorry, it's just that i was busy playing the game and doing other things, and thought that with all the Dev announcements regarding the release schedule (since it was first announced it was stated that it would be released some time after i22 went live), commentary by other players regarding it, and the many, many other threads that have discussed this topic since Staff Fighting was officially announced that i wouldn't have to personally notify you about it. My mistake.

Now, it's true that some Tsoo and other NPCs have had Staff powers since i22 came out, but there are other sets where NPCs had powers from those sets long before a player version was released. In some cases i recall it being years. That's in part because NPCs don't need to have full, balanced powersets to use. They get a handful of powers that don't have to be balanced against player powersets and don't require a suite of 9 or more powers to be usable.

Still, i apologize on behalf of all the other players who neglected to personally inform you about all the publicly available information that could have helped reduce the confusion and stress caused by Staff Fighting not being released today. It was an oversight that will most likely happen again.

Wait, what? Exactly how long has it been since you played a MM?

There have been quite a few changes made since the Incarnate system launched and MMs are pretty durable now. Not that it's really relevant since virtually all Incarnate content is co-op anyway, but MMs are no worse for Incarnate content than any other content now.

i mostly agree with this. For Masterminds i've heard that Beast Mastery can also be a bit underpowered in the late game, but i just made one yesterday so i don't really have a personal opinion on it yet.

Blasters currently sit at the bottom of my AT list in terms of how often and how high of a level i play them. Largely because they're too fragile compared to all the other ATs i play.

My Tankers so far are fine. No, they're not preeminent damage powerhouses, but they're generally insanely durable and do decent damage. The biggest issue they currently have in my opinion is... uh, hmmm... i don't have any particular issues with any of my Tankers. The AT itself is pretty okay in my opinion.

Actually it's been you that has has been doing you no great service in your last four or five posts in this thread. At best you're reducing your credibility and undermining your own position.

It's no fun when you do all the discrediting yourself. Dr. Van Kruglor's robots don't need the competition.

There is a fair bit of content that has a set level range and if your level is higher than this range it sets your character's level to the maximum for that content. This is the case for most Trials, Task Forces, and Ouroboros missions. This is called Exemplaring/Malefactoring.

When you are exemplared or sidekicked the icon next to the health and endurance bars shows your current effective level.

Okay, "Not Sure If Serious" is really the wrong meme to use since i'm quite certain you're serious, but i don't know any "Quite Certain Is Serious, Not Sure If Sane" image macros.

It's interesting to have you outright concede that you're deliberately derailing the thread because you're certain no will read what you have to say otherwise. However, i think that's also against the forum rules.

  15. For the love of Mike!
Here's a suggestion: One of the people who keeps arguing over the relative merits of Brutes versus Tankers start a thread here titled something like "Concerned about Tankers" or "Concerned about Brutes" or "Concerned about Not Getting What I Want and Deserve". Then we can let this thread either die off because the original topic has pretty much been covered, or people can continue to discuss the actual topic in the name.

Seriously, start a new thread with an accurate title instead of suborning someone else's thread. What are you afraid of, that if they know what you're actually discussing no one will care?

(In the case of at least one poster anyone who sees that they're posting already knows what they're going to be posting about since they nearly always post just to complain about one topic regardless of what the rest of the thread is about. "I like the particle effects of the new dark hold power." "Yeah? Well, it's unfair that the Devs still only give Fruit Baskets one lime per basket." "Uh, what's that have to do with the dark hold?" "The Devs gave dark a new hold graphic, but i still don't have more limes in my Fruit Basket and that's totally unfair!" "...")
  16. i would contact support with a description of the problem. Like Psygon_NA posted, there may be some corruption of your account data for older characters that needs to be repaired.

But the super alter ego of Image Comics' character Infringement Chaser is Siren. He would chase people who imitated the name or look of established Image supers while going "WaaaaAhAAAAAAhhhaaaaAAAAAHHH!" before serving them with papers suing them on the super's behalf. (The previous sentence was an utter fabrication; i have no idea why the name "Siren" is blocked.)

    woooot!
But have all theropod fossils with skins shown fuzz? Most very large land mammals that live in warmer climates have thick skins lacking almost all fuzz and/or hair. Elephants, hippos, and rhinos being the most obvious examples. The most recent article i read on the fuzzy theropod fossils found in China postulated that most theropod species in warmer climates probably didn't have the fuzz. Although it seems likely that they would've kept decorative feather fringes or crests for mating purposes.

But that's the criteria i used for selecting the nurses anyway.

While it would be simple enough to fit the gear required to automate a tank or other vehicle into the space formerly occupied by a driver/pilot, or even make the whole unit smaller because the control system actually requires less space and comfort, it's quite true that human scaled and shaped frames will work in the existing environment far easier. Besides, i want replaceable robotic chassis for myself at some point.

    That's my take as well.
If your character hasn't run the trial the events in it haven't happened for him.
Like many, many other storylines and chronologies in CoH that simply cannot be reconciled with a linear, objective approach to time.
