Today I decided to create a new alt on freedom, and I have to say that the endurance usage has gone through the roof.
[/ QUOTE ]
no it hasn't.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well technically, if he re-rolled the same powersets but didn't slot the same endredux in powers as he had on the original then, yes, his personal use of endurance is larger!
[/ QUOTE ]
har!
and a revision to reflect dom changes:
No it hasn't (unless you're playing a dominator).
[/ QUOTE ]
Well the endurance used per attack has generally increased, but if most of the feedback is at all plausible the endurance used per point of damage is generally the same or lower.
My personal experience using pre-level 25 Doms (my highest level Dom is 23) on test is that they defeat enemies quite a bit faster while building Domination slower, so i can't rely on replenishing my endurance by triggering Domination as often. My Mind/Thorn Dom already had Stamina to make using TK easier and hasn't had any endurance issues. Then again i'm using TK less since enemies tend to die much quicker.
Still only on test, so the OP's whinging is still irrelevant/incorrect. -

So you fill in a spot with someone who is only using hallf thier skills with someone also using half thier skills.
Good thing this game is mostly on easy.

To clarify why your reply made little sense to me:

who are using their [u]full[u] powerset[u]s[u]
[/ QUOTE ]Is what i wrote. A habit i have when i parse language is that i don't read full as half, nor do i read powersets as singular. In other words, they should be using all relevant/available aspects of both their primary and secondary sets as apropriate. i know that writing it so flippantly and concisely made it very hard to parse my intent. For that i apologize.
[/ QUOTE ]
And now for something completely the same: Raging thread of justice! -
[ QUOTE ]
Nightcrawler wouldn't do so well against someone who had a secondary (he has what...a domination attack set and TP?)
[/ QUOTE ]
Nightcrawler had teleporting, martial arts, super reflexes, stealth, mastery of swordsmanship and other stuff i can't recall offhand. Haven't read X-Men in many years, so i have no idea what he does now. -

Not quite what i actually said, and it was obviously intended somewhat humorously, but it's your birthday, so...
Whatever.

Even many single powerset comic characters effectively have multiple sets. In many cases they have training/talents that effectively give the equivalent of Martial Arts, Willpower or Super Reflexes or at least a powerset that combines elements of all of them.
Also, many comic characters have additional abilities that don't directly fit into the game's mechanics. For example, Cyclops has the quite literally superhuman ability to almost instantly calculate the trajectories and ricochet patterns of all projectiles, not just his eye beams. This can be useful for any sort of ranged attack or evasion. -
HBD LISAR.
My SD/SS knockback resister does occasionally appreciate the assistance of a healer. Especially if there are no Buff/Debuff types who are using their full powersets around to make the healer irrelevant. -

What does trust have to do with running a TF? It's not like they're very hard and can't be completed with various team makeups.
[/ QUOTE ]
And there's only a couple (poorly designed IMO) TF's/Trials where you have to have a full team to complete it. Curse you, simulclicks! -
[ QUOTE ]
Blue Lantern Corps members can't fight are are essentially empaths for Green Lanterns. I think all they can pretty much do for themselves is the standard flight and limited protective aura all lanterns get.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ah yes, i've been sort of avoiding the "Skittles in Space" event. How is that anyway?
Some powersets have a limited number of powers usable on your self, but every AT has at least one set that benefits them solo. There are quite a few comic characters who have powers that mostly just benefit others. They tend not to be the main characters for somewhat obvious reasons. -
Nice lyrics, but no linky for a video? i likes me some video.

Unless Doktor is thinking of Twilight Grasp from Dark Miasma.
[/ QUOTE ]
Good point. The animation for Twilight Grasp is quite different from the Midnight Grasp animation described in the OP, but the powers do have very similar names. -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
I'm going to hazard a guess and say he means Midnight Grasp.
[/ QUOTE ]
It doesn't do any damage.
[/ QUOTE ]Might you be thinking of Touch of Fear? i'm pretty sure ToF is the only attack in Dark Melee that does no damage. -

cool virtue have a regular hami raid? did tons of them pre I9 not so much after. have a lvl 50 villian over on champ but never got to run a red hami. don't have the dough to transfer him over right now, but i do have a villian i've started so maybe one day i can run the red hami as well.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry it took a bit to reply, but i don't always sink all the way down to the server forums, and Virtue is the lowest of the low. There's at least 2 blueside Hami raids every week (Wednesday at 8 Eastern and Saturday at 6 Eastern), and usually 1 redside raid (Sundays at 6 Eastern). There's occasional raids on other days and times depending on the whims of the players. i suggest joining VU2009 if you haven't done so yet.
Also, rum! Or vodka, vodka's good too.

In my case i'm not so recent. Been playing half the time or more on Virtue for about two years. -

If it's any consolation, i had to search through several Divine videos before i settled on that one.
Of course the same is true for the first video as well. -

Flamebait ? Mentioning that I want a lifetime subscription is flame worthy ? Well, hand me the BBQ sauce then, lol. Wow, you guys really are special, aren't you ?
[/ QUOTE ]It must be true. The nice man with the candy who drives a van told me i'm special.
Anyway, what you want and what you're likely to get are two very different things. i concur with Fleeting_Whisper that adding a lifetime subscription option this late in the game's lifespan would probably be a sign that the game is going to be shut down relatively soon. Unless, of course, it's in the thousand dollar range...
[i]Edit: oops, fixed. -

Not a bug, not an exploit. It is WAD (working as designed) though it may not necessarily be WAI (working as intended).

i'll go with this. -

arent the devs nerfing acc this issue?
[/ QUOTE ]
Man, after 14 issues of nerfing accuracy i'd hope they'd be tired of doing that.
i remember when the Devs reduced end costs across the board, it made things so much easier at the low levels. As someone who regularly creates and plays lowbies i will testify that going from playing an IO'd out 50 to a level 5 can be a bit jarring. Still, i find lowbies are perfectly playable after a brief adjustment period of play style. -
[ QUOTE ]
I guarantee you that the amount of time it takes to prepare for taking down Romulus 4 times in 60 seconds takes a LOT more time than the time it takes to just defeat Romulus with a decent team and maybe a nuke or shivan if someone happened to already have it on them.
With that said, all this "you people are foolish" and "I'm too good to team with you and waste my time" is probably doing you wonders in the SG recruiting department. I understand enjoying time with your friend battling boarshead or whatever you said his name was, but us poor, defenseless creatures that don't have as much of your attention are all thinking you are a total [censored]. As we complete our TF's.
[/ QUOTE ]
Most of my TF's and SF's are semi-PuGs. i mean, they're mostly recruited from global channels, but i'll also join random teams that announce that they're forming in broadcast. i remember one ITF PuG i joined on Virtue was run by an idiot who tried zerging Rommy in an extremely uncoordinated fashion. After a couple team wipes he and two others quit, but i convinced the remaining team members that with a bit of patience and coordination it could be done. So one of the others lured the healing nictus away and the rest of the team smacked Rommy around with a Shivan helping for extra DPS. After a protracted fight it was TF complete.
Obviously i don't know the supah-sekrit awesome exploit that allows me to defeat Romulus in almost less time than his self-rez animation takes, but i can convince a team of 5 to defeat Romulus after they failed with 8 people. In fact the only TF's/SF's i can recall failing offhand are a couple PuG STF's where most of the team quit. Oh, and a Positron TF i tried to solo a couple years ago with my ill/TA; though that was more that i got bored and quit to go join a team. (My favorite TF memory is when the team of four i was on took down the Synapse TF's Babbage ambush unassisted.)
i guess that proves i'll never be equal in awesomeness and skill to F_D. /em praise Felecia_Divine.

Hey, i hopped over here from Champion first! No fair imitating me!
Although, since you're here as the new drunk in town, not the new [noun] in town, i suppose i've got no reason to complain.
But i'll do it anyway, daggummit!
So, yeah, how's it going, DA?
Virtue's a fun place to play, and the people are a friendly and entertaining lot for the most part.

Actually, i think he just stopped taking his medication again. It's almost refreshing to see the return of incoherent gibbering and babbling on the scale that ELF alone can bring to the forums. He's sort of like Uniquedragon with TBI. -
