*huh* Was hoping to continue the sequence this Sunday as well. Perhaps not.
Well, if enough people are interested to form a second team, perhaps. -
Quote:Exactly. Now you just have to get to level 1 to enter the Rikti War Zone. Surviving it without a team is a completely different matter for the average player.Um, no you don't. Except for a few exceptions, many zones had their level restrictions lifted.
Welcome to i16.
Looking forward to Tanker Tuesday in a couple hours. -

And people were already saying that Shield Charge for Tankers was a bit too powerful. (They're wrong IMO.)
My Fire/SD Scrapper will appreciate the fix as well.
Unless the patch is live before the end of the week this coming weekend's Shardtober run of Justin Augustine will be a bit light on merits. Oh well.
Nice batch of fixes regardless. -
Quote:Sunday we had that happen in Brickstown during a Dr. Quaterfield TF.Last night on a Manticore TF we ran into that very same bug... the mission door was located right in front of the AE building. We had to stand around and wait 35 minutes for a GM to fix the problem. Obviously it was pointed at a door in the building that AE replaced.

Right, took the test.
OMG so hard!
A couple questions left me uncertain because the wording was a bit unclear/incoherent. (No not the typos, i always went with what i thought was intended.) One question asked about sets available to scrappers and then mentioned until Issue 13, and then none of the sets listed had anything to do with anything in Issue 13. At first glance the answer seemed obvious, but then the Issue 13 comment made me pause and try to figure out if this was a trick question somehow.
i can see how the aggro cap could be a bit esoteric for many players, but the way i play my alts it's something i've always had to keep in mind.
Quote:Really? Guess i've been doing my maths wrong all these years.395 other people got this result! That's 110%
Quote:..i wasnt saying if YOUR god was in game, its abit of fun..lots of people say they are masters in game so the fun was seeing if they can back it up in a quiz. nothing about whos god is where and what.
Your = possessive. (ex. Is that your severed arm in the trunk? Does your god have three heads?)
You're = contraction of 'you are'. (ex. You're eating the landlord? So you think you're a god?) -
Quote:Oh, i'm the main Tanker? <.< *laughs maniacally* Yessss, just try to keep me alive.1) @Witty Librarian - I am hoping to bring my original, the one and only Wittylibrarian (50 Energy Blaster) back out for this Shardtober run.
2) @ArtoriosRex, Scrapper (50)
3) @Jak O Lantern, Scrapper (40 by Sunday)
4) @Talon Arsenal, Blaster (50)
5) @Ready Aim Fire, Defender (50)
6) @Nyx Nought Nothing, Tanker (44)
7) @Beetle King (?), Controller (hopefully Level 40+)
8) @Razor Vein, Peacebringer (47)
Can't wait for this.
Actually, Boomkitty is pretty durable, but most of my mitigation strategy involves hitting stuff so hard it bounces and falls over. Shield Charge, Melt Armor, Foot Stomp is my usual entrance to a room.
Hey, it gets their attention. -

Quote:Wait, what? You do remember what the textures looked like prior to CoV, right? A lot of visual flair has been added since CoH first went live. Water, as a single example, looked far less like water at launch. Oh, and the reflective/shiny surface effects CoV added that my system didn't even display properly until i upgraded my system some months later. You obviously don't remember what the game looked like at launch if you think there's been no graphical upgrades in 5+ years.I really wouldn't mind a graphical update. After... What? 3-4 years without upgrading the requirements of a game, since CoV (and that's being VERY modest, considering it's closer to 5+, since CoV didn't do too much to warrant an upgrade, if any) the game could REALLY use it.

Quote:So, villains get their own unique architecture? (arch types)I stopped on:
What's a preatorian ?
a roman warrior
an evil version of the earthly heros
an archtype for villains (groin vault?)
an area in paragon city
Since none of those answers are correct if preatorian=praetorian.
Admittedly the zone geometries are a lot more complex in general. -

The scum rock band Antiseen does a song called "My God Can Beat Up Your God".
If your god fits into this game then i guess it makes sense. -
Agreed.
Also, Nvidia will be killing the ability to use an Nvidia card for PhysX computations if you are using another GPU for graphics rendering.
(Which probably only affects a tiny fraction of people, but still not very supportive of wider PhysX adoption.) link -
Quote:They're not "higher than what they should be", they're just higher than they were at launch five plus years ago, and higher that what the recommended specs state. For what the game gives us i think the specs are about what they have to be.There was a HUGE overhaul on the resolution of textures shortly after CoV came out. Then there was the hodge podging (is that a word?) of things like bloom, physX and several minor options shortly after that. CoX's requirements are actually much higher than what they should be, it's just that so much stuff was coded in after the fact, it's very inefficient.
However, if you want to keep playing this awesome game, you must upgrade! I hope for more improvements soon.
(Okay, you have a point that if everything had been coded in at the start it would probably be more efficient, but that's neither here nor there.) -
Quote:Erm, it's actually @Nyx Nought NothingThe Sunday Dr. Q run is now set to start at 2 pm EST (11 am PST) then.
So far this is the list. If I am missing anybody let me know now please.
1) @Witty Librarian - I am hoping to bring my original, the one and only Wittylibrarian (50 Energy Blaster) back out for this Shardtober run.
2) @ArtoriosRex, Scrapper (50)
3) @Jak O Lantern, Scrapper (40 by Sunday)
4) @Talon Arsenal, Blaster (50)
5) @Ready Aim Fire, Defender (50)

7)
8)
I think there's two spots open, but again I might have missed someone.
REMINDER: TOMORROW IS SATURDAY'S SHARDTOBER! Report to Dr. Q at the planned time (show up a little early to make sure, and get your Inspirs slotted)., but the Tanker is a go then. Have to remember the jetpack, but i think i have plenty left on the safeguard one. Hypermech is a speedster, oddly enough.

Were you recently in Cimerora? Cimerora tends to cause compass enlargement. Logging is the only guaranteed way i know to remove it when it happens.
-
Quote:Sunday. Either alt. i have this Monday off so any start time is acceptable.Available either or both days, but preferably starting before 2PM Eastern.
Hypermech Boomkitty 44 SD/SS/Fire Tanker
or
Dr. Malthusian 50 Dark/Ice/Psy Defender
So, aggro magnet with taunt, control and damage or aggro magnet with buffs, debuffs, control and damage. -

Quote:This interests me as well.So...wait. You agree that there are far too many options for Defense from set bonuses, but aren't going to change it?
May I ask why? Or at least can you tell us why there are far fewer options for Resistance?
Edit: More specifically i'm interested in why resistance options are far more limited. -

Your pony has too much "e", and will run wild and kill everyone when the psychoses take hold.
So yes, you win a pretty poney.
You will be the 5th Horseman of the Apocalypse: Really Bad Foot Funk. When the final days come and the seas turn to blood, the lands to burning pitch and the glaciers to tapioca you will ride forth with the other four horsemen upon your pony and inflict really annoying inconvenience upon all mankind. In accordance with prophecy. -
