Quote:i've been using the hell out of that when planning respecs. Especially since some are old, old builds that i didn't save the Mids' file for, if i ever made one at all, and importing the current build makes it easier to look at the numbers and figure out what i was thinking back when i made the build, and also makes it simpler to work with the character's already slotted sets and IOs.You can use Titan Sentinel to export your current build rather than trying to duplicate it by hand in mids.

Quote:Only if it's one of those analog watches. Which are generally vanity or luxury items at this point in history.Wow, christine Odonnel actualy got one right.
well even a broken watch is right twice a day =b
Stem cells have a lot of potential, yes, but it's not as simple, effective, and guaranteed safe as some people think.
There's a tag used on some sites, "whatcouldpossiblygowrong", that neatly sums up why it takes years for many medical advances to be available to the public.
It's also true that many of the large pharmaceutical companies have a vested interest in extending the status quo. It's also true that many apparently logical miracle solutions to ailments turn out to not be as effective as you might expect or hope. Bad Science by Ben Goldacre gives a good introduction to how "hacks, quacks, and big pharma flacks" distort and misrepresent science to suit their own ends. -
[QUOTE=Dasher;3379405]Quote:And your basis for this assertion is... what?
Actually, they are.
"The Well takes many forms throughout the universe."
(Doesn't anybody watch the game movie dialogue any more?)
Getting their powers from Crey is just another manifestation of the Well.
Sorry.
Is there anywhere in actual game lore that they are described as Incarnates? Is there anywhere it's even hinted?
Using the same standard of proof i'm going to assert our old friend Jenkins is also an Incarnate. He drank some soda from a soda machine at some point, and, well, the soda machine was just another manifestation of the Well. That's how he becomes a Huntsman later on. My arbitrarily designated Incarnate NPC is more awesome than yours! -
Since you mostly solo i would also suggest looking at the market forums for tips on using the market to get what you want once you decide on a build approach.
Even with casual use it's not hard to get what you need through the market if you just keep in mind some of the basic advice in the market forums.
i'd suggest starting with a basic IO build and/or Frankenslotting inexpensive set pieces initially and adding the higher end sets and IOs as you go. Of course the first thing is to slot out the whole thing SOs to get you up and running. A decent build using only SOs can handle almost anything the game throws at you on the base settings. -
(Actually, one of my all time favorite movies is an adaptation of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead. It does get... slightly... talky at times.) -
i like them quite a bit, yes, but fingers would be an actual change to the graphics and animation engine. Fingers would be remarkable because of the implications of their addition, not simply the addition of fingers themselves. Not nearly the same thing.

From some of his replies i'm not entirely certain that the OP knows how to join and use global channels. He also seems remarkably thin-skinned for someone who has spent any amount of time on the internet, but that's neither here nor there. Does anyone have any good links for guides to using the global channels?
i spend the majority my time playing on Virtue and honestly have been having a hard time choosing between the various TFs and raids constantly being announced on the various global channels, and only one of those global channels is not for a different server, or a private channel set up for one group of players or another to chat with each other. Several alts are in very active coalitions, and the coalition chatter of people forming and seeking teams for all sorts of things sometimes threatens to drown out team chat. -

Quote:As long as i've been playing CoH unselecting a target normally un-queues whatever power was queued up when you switched targets. This include defensive powers like self heals.I've been using esc. to "un-queue" powers... that is, if they have the dotted red line around them, it disappears. It may be a side effect from deselecting the mob, or it may be that it just happens to work when I don't have a mob selected... dunno. Hadn't really gotten that extensive with it. Just found it by happy accident, and have been using it to "un-queue" a power that I didn't really want to fire off (y'know when my fingers get too twitchy).
.
However, i have recently noticed that queued attacks have frequently been firing at enemies as soon as i come into range even if i've switched to a different target as long as i haven't queued up another power. This is despite the attack no longer having the queue indicator and a different target is selected. -
Quote:i rather agree with this. You've been whining about this TF since Beta and the arguments were no more convincing then. You want the game to be a walk through. There's plenty of content to that effect. Just because something is actually hard doesn't make it bad. It also doesn't give you lease to resort to ad hominems.
These TFs are fun, and very doable if people care to figure out how to do them.
If your idea of feeling more powerful is being able to walk all over the opposition, go wipe swarms of grays in Perez.
Some people have a different notion of powerful. It's tied to being able to actually accomplish something hard.
Although i do also agree that the Malta rank and file could be slightly less powerful from an aesthetic standpoint, just to emphasize how tough the Praetorians are compared to the foes we're used to fighting. Maybe have the Malta spawn at +3, but with lots of Zeus Titans. Director 11's minespamming schtick is more annoying than challenging, or even really dangerous.
Overall i rather like that the two new "end game" TFs are somewhat challenging. i've done Apex and Tin Mage with the basic boost and neither takes more than an hour. -
Quote:You neglected the third option...Option One: Slot Brawl. Don't even put any other attacks or defense/resist or any other toggles in your tray. Use only brawl. Brawl as much as you want! As fast as it recharges! You will never run out of endurance!!!!
This method is guaranteed to work for any AT!!!
Option Two: Use all of your powers as you will. Please note that, with inherit fitness, you will be able to use more attacks and fight for longer than pre-I19, and you will be able to run more defensive/resist or other toggles for longer than before, and you will recover endurance faster in between fights, but you will probably STILL run out of endurance and have to rest.
If you conclude that this means you're less effective than pre-I19, go back to Option One.
Option Three: Bang your head repeatedly against the nearest hard object until you can no longer read words with more than three letters. Resume playing.
While option three does not guarantee they'll stop running out of endurance it does increase the likelihood, and it pretty much rules out posting to complain about it not working afterward.

Quote:No fair! i was so looking forward to duping rares, but then you had to propose that second and third builds would autodelete unused enhancements when respeccing. So either the Devs rewrite the enhancement system to track the lineage of each individual enhancement (not a small or inexpensive undertaking i suspect) or any enhancement slotted into any build that is not the first build can never be recovered from that build to be used elsewhere. Somehow i don't think most players would be happy having the second and third builds be enhancement black holes from which enhancements can never be retrieved. Or the Devs cancel/delay other content and bug fixes in order to implement a system for tagging and tracking individual enhancements. Now I understand that it would be much cheaper to make a second build with just basic IOs or SOs and I'm sure many of you have, but it would still be nice to have your build one's IOs copy over to your build two/three and if they arent used they just vanish so you cant clone them and sell them.
Seems a bit lose-lose to me. -
Quote:Stoke that sucker and he's a rocket! When someone is saying that an inherent, automatic recovery boost of atlest 25% is making their character perform WORSE then not having an inherent, automatic recovery boost of atlest 25%, then it is really hard not to jump to conclusions, and assume the OP is just blowing smoke out of their nether regions.

Quote:Yup. Personally i find them rather entertaining. Unless i'm on a Numina TF and they're invading a zone i need to hunt down regular mobs in. Then it's annoying.Completion of the task force. I've routinely finished the TF and then gone off to deal with the resulting invasion.
i also like the Malta Action Figure morality mission, even if it's now a bit slower and drags on compared to how frenetic and fun it used to be, so my liking something is not necessarily a sign that most people will or do like it. -
i have to admit i've never fought the Honoree and Holtz at the same time.

i've been on a few TFs, mostly the longer Shard TFs, where we had about that number of deaths. Admittedly that was because we were pretty much aiming to do that through difficulty settings and deliberately employing Self Destruction, Vengeance, RotP, et al as a tactic to speed up fights. That and general showboating and silliness. When a good portion of the fights start with "Hey, watch this!" you know there's going to be a pretty big number for the team deaths.

Of course with the Super Stunners i back well away when their hp gets low and then charge in after they finish rezzing. If i'm lucky and most of the team has the chance/awareness to do the same the Super Stunner pops up with a small amount of health and drops again very quickly. -
Quote:i got the MotTMTF badge on an alt before the latest Director 11 fix, so i'm not sure how many more alts will be getting this badge. The Apex TF is relatively easy to get the Mo badge.Director 11 is wishy-washy to me >.> we ran the TF twice to try to get the badge for not setting off any of his trip mines...we didn't die a horrible lot the first time through, maybe 20-ish, but when we tried for a second time to get the badge...EVERYTHING went wrong lol.

Quote:Invisible sword wielders aren't that new. CoT have been summoning them wielding ice swords for a few years. The only difference really is that the Battle Maiden versions can be attacked and otherwise affected.I find it interesting the way the Dev team uses their new tech. When ever they come up with a new trick they just love to use the heck out of it. They got dopple gangers figured out, they used it for a whole issue, they get invisible minions figured out, start using those for an issue. Branching dialog trees, etc etc.
Going forward we will see a few more invisible types like this, but more few and far between now that they've been heavily featured. -
Quote:It's probably worth mentioning that D.R.I. and Suicidal Tendencies started out playing punk shows and appearing on punk comps and later crossed over into playing a more metal style. The second half of the 80s had a fair number of bands that were formerly punk bands shifting to a more metal style. Hardcore punk in general became much more metal influenced at that time, and vice versa. Thrash punk eventually mutated into thrash metal. Earlier 80s comps like New York Thrash were straight up punk comps. (Amusingly New York Thrash has a track by the Beastie Boys from when they were still a punk band, back before the single Cookie Puss lead them to their destiny as rappers. And I resent the term 'Rap Metal' for Crossover (never mind that the entry doesn't mention pioneers D.R.I. and Suicidal Tendencies), but that's neither here nor there.

Quote:That is strange. i'm running Win7 64 bit as well and Mids' has been working fine in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Titan Network\Mids Hero Designer\MHDLoader.exe"Ok, running into a really annoying problem. Ever since version 1.9 came out... I can only run the program once, on an install. ANY attempt to launch the program after the initial install results in a DB error and the program bombing. Basically, I need to reinstall it EVERY time. I have Windows 7 64 bit and never had any problems.. has anyone else seen this?
EDIT-
OK, for whatever reason, once I installed the program folder to the desktop, I am fine.. weird.
i am running Titan Sentinel out of a folder on the desktop.
