We will never speak of that abomination of hypersonic facepalming worthy, fecal-grade storytelling again. Or at least we wouldn't in a better world, which this one isn't.

Quote:(A swing and a miss. Completely not getting the point and context of the post.)Lol... you will "let" ncsoft handle it. As if they need your approval. Its their money... if they want to burn themselves out they do us all a favor. We get the cash, and they leave the game. Problem solved everyone benifits.

Quote:Praetorian DE, eh? Tell me more. i don't recall seeing them in game yet.I worry a little that the devs, having mostly bought themselves out of the extreme levels of defense disparity of the pre-I7 game, are starting to let their guard down with things like the Praetorian DE.
Quote:It's a little too easy to do that and make something extremely unfair towards defense sets in the early game. At the moment, I don't think they are doing enough of it to be a serious problem yet, but it could be in the future. It's something to watch for. It took so long to convince the devs that if 75% chance to hit (for bosses) was a problem, 65% chance to hit was not a solution. And now we have whole classes of critter below the level cap that run around with about that level of tohit from minions to bosses. Such a thing should be unusually noteworthy and somehow strength-justified. I don't see either principle being obeyed with the Praetorian DE.
Edit: D'oh! Was thinking sort of backwards. Yeah, forgot for a second it was players that get 75% and critters normally 50%. DURRRRR...

Quote:i thought the one-shot code was supposed to be based on all the damage from a single entity/attack in a single server tick. So the attack could do six different types of damage for five times your hp, but it won't take you below 1 hit point. Of course any sort of DoT, even a single damage tick delayed by a half second, will be unaffected by the one shot code.the 1-shot code is kinda fickle. Its impossible to take over your hit points within 1 single burst of damage. But as trapdoor has energy attacks, and those do two damages (energy part, then smashing part IIRC) it is possible to be '1 shot' from him, say, from his total focus.

Quote:Don't ya thing something like that would have been picked up in test?
Ok devs fix it, 2 more weeks of the Winter event, and free server transfers for a week.
Quote:Maybe the Devs will give us anther round of Free Server Transfers if this goes on too long. While i wouldn't object to free server transfers it's a complete non sequitur in the context of a buggy seasonal event. Are you going to suggest it every single time something is bugged in game?
It would be even more fun in real life...
"My oven is broken. Obviously the superintendent should give me a free DVD player in compensation for my undercooked pizza in addition to fixing the oven!"
"Why?"
"Well, I want a new DVD player. Totally logical, see?" -

Yup. Saw it as well. i suspect a hotfix being pushed live to correct the Winter Realm issue. Many (most?) characters attempting to enter the realm through the Mysterious Gift are finding themselves shunted to the appropriate starting zone instead.

Quote:Most likely nothing good can come of this. Something (unintentionally) hilarious seems like a good possibility, however.Hm, hope they aren't rushing a movie due to recent court rulings in the trademark/copyright case.

Nope, not concerned at all.
As already pointed out by others there's already content being added that counters it to a degree. We also had DE and Rruullaarruu in the game already for high level characters, and level 54 enemies have less difficulty hitting through the softcap anyway. While i have several characters that are softcapped they don't rely on it alone to survive. i'll just adapt my tactics to compensate for getting hit more often. My softcapped characters already tend to keep some oranges handy for facing enemies likely to get through their defense. -
Actually physics would say it's pushed from the higher pressure areas into the lower pressure areas. Meteorology is wrong if it says otherwise.

About half of those commandments are almost completely irrelevant to the gameplay and AT mechanics in CoH. The others are sort of common sense, or just basic manners, but the shoehorning into quasi-biblical commandments makes them a bit awkward and off-target.
2/5 Would not recommend. -
If you can spare the power pick i almost always take Combat Jumping on my Force Fielders, even the ones that Hover. The immobilization protection and bit of defense help quite a bit in many situations with a very low endurance cost.

This happened to me on a team of 6 heroes that clicked on the present in Steel Canyon. The team all came out of several different mission doors in Atlas instead of entering the realm.

A few players have done a Mothership raid solo. i know one was a Mastermind, but i don't remember what AT others were. Downed all the Pylons and then took on the Rikti on the ship. i doubt that they took out U'kon, but i think a duo might have.

As i recall many procs report in the healing received channel.

It's a Disney movie. i thoroughly enjoyed it, but while Disney does a nice job of designing villain looks, they're just as cliched as the heroes. Not a bad story, just very predictable.
Honestly (and this is a somewhat amusing site to post this) the morality color coding was a bit heavyhanded, but that comes with the territory.
Well worth seeing. i saw it in 3D and it was enjoyable and worked well with the film. It wasn't like some 3D movies where they feel the urge to try to make something lunge at the audience every couple of minutes.
Edit: To be fair, the big bad was much more Emperor Cole than Lord "Rawr! I Chew Scenery For Breakfast!" Recluse. He did what he did because he thought he was doing what needed to be done. -

Quote:Is the TI proc broken again? For a long time it was broken, then for a long while it was fixed, but a mag 1 disorient won't affect anything above Underling rank unless you stack it with another stun.I see it is in the wiki HERE.. Although to be fair it was only added 2 weeks ago. Did you report it? Good job.
Ever since crafting and slotting the Triumphant Insult: Chance to Disorient and finally deciding months later that it didn't work, I always look up Procs in the wiki now to make sure they work before I slot them.
I wish they would fix these broken inventions. -
Quote:My passwords are generally jumbles of letters and numbers that are somewhat readable as words if you look at them right. Generally they're also portmanteau words that are counter intuitive combinations. i have a terrible memory in some ways, but i've developed a variety of mnemonics that make it easy to remind myself of passwords in a way that almost no one else would understand.I didn't know people still use words for passwords. I always mix numbers with letters and symbols. I also make sure it is at lest 8 characters long. I never had a problem remembering any of my passwords but I also have a great memory.
Regardless, i haven't found the logout to character select all that useful since it usually also gives the two messages for me as well, but i do really like the new trams and ferries, even if it has made much of my former transit planning completely unnecessary. The instant shifting between stations/ferries in areas with more than one stop is also a lot of fun.
