But, as you said, you have mez protection. Characters with mez protection do not tend to get mezzed that often. I'm mainly talking about all the unfortunate masses without it.

Noticed a fair number of regulars in Victory Forum do not have a "Mezzed!" bind and some don't even type "zzzzzz" when mezzed. These include long term, competent players.
Now, if you know there's no one on the team that has a mez breaking power, I can understand this. But if you have 1-3 teammates that do and you get hit by a 40 second malta stun, why just stand there?

GG, dear, seriously. It gets old when you trump it out EVERY time some poor chap has to settle for using s/he.
Given the majority of game players (at least here) are male, its not really a 50%-50% chance of getting it right.
And this is coming from a guy who know a goodly number of female players
It just really isn't such a huge issue, m'kay?

Quote:Yeah, no matter what colors you go for, you can't remove the black core/background to most of the dark powers. Dark isn't as fun to / color customable compared to, say, rad or fire.Yeah, end use can get up there. I am not sure of you IO plans, but I was able to slot between sets and high end generics to manage end. Also, the dark EPP has a power that can restore end (drawing a blank atm).
And yes, very controller like feeling I get, but when soloing, that really comes in handy.
I haven't tried to recolor her yet, but surprised to hear some dark is still left in the powers.

Quote:Generally, you should stick with the team.I'm curious what the thoughts are on the etiquette involved with a certain subset of the forums goers here who can solo team-sized mobs by themselves. I know the Scrapper forums typically consider it perfectly fair game to strike off on their own and kill things willy-nilly, but it seems to me at times that a team might need the Scrapper helping them more than the Scrapper needs to maximize bodies per second.
If the scrapper wants to solo, the scrapper can go solo and free up the team slot for someone else.

A few comments. I run teams 95 percent of the time rather then joining them.
Glowies don't matter (any more). They used to back in the day, but just about all rewards were taking away from glowies due to be "abusing" stealthing missions, most notably grabbing glowies, resetting mission, etc etc. Now all the xp has been transfered to mission completion. At best, you get the occasional inspiration. I fail to see the need to slow down the team calling out and waiting for the team leader to notice/grab each glowie. My only restriction; don't grab glowies if the fighting is still heavy.
The tank isn't the team leader. The tank doesn't decide which way to go.
Don't scout/stealth unless the team (leader) agrees.
Don't move on to the next spawn until the vast majority of the first group is down.
Don't massively aggro the room "just to spice things up" unless the team agrees.
Don't expect the team to do everything you want unless you're the team leader. While your buffs are nice, they're not needed to complete the mission. Don't expect the team to gather between each spawn or for 30 seconds for you to use AM. Just apply buffs as you can between spawns and/or when the fighting is dying down. If only four members of the team gather for AM after five seconds, just fire it off and move on.
Wait until most of the team is on map before starting.
Don't spend 5 minutes leveling/marketing/selling between each mission unless the team is fine with it and/or told.
Don't spend more time chatting in global/vent/sg/coalition/whatever then you do actually playing on the team.
Don't assume that you're actually needed on the team to finish the TF and that means you can mouth off all you want and/or go in any direction on the map you want, regardless of what direction the rest of the team is going.
Don't whine that teammates who's main most powerful damage or mez powers kb's people.

Quote:Is there a question forth coming?NATURAL CLAWS
You have countless critters in the game that utilize this. All the animations are there for the heroes, just give a no claw choice in the weapons or force the monstrous claw hand costume piece worse case. Make it happen yesterday.
MONSTROUS FUR LOWER BODY
When selecting TIGHT (not Monstrous) you have at least 3 non-clothed options including Zombie, Plant and Reptilian. We need monstrous fur in this. It follows the exact same mold, and you can even grab it from the Monstrous section and just modify it (if at all) to mesh around the tight lower body. Obvious oversight, make it happen.
MONSTROUS FUR BOOTS
No not uggs although wait a second now hhhhhmmmm. Oh... I digress. Same as above we have zombie, plant, reptile just give us a little hobbit action here, nuff said.
TRAVEL POWER (THE MISSING LINK)
Okay not as simple, maybe but it hit me recently (*cough* *CO* *cough*) that there is a huge cross section of hero types that dont have a thematic travel power, or are taking a travel power that is off theme. This is excruciating given the breadth of CoH in other areas. Ninjas, "Punishing" Soldier Types, Beasts, Captain America Types, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, are all left in the dust. They arent as fast as the Flash, they cant fly or teleport, and they cant jump like the Hulk, and being forced into taking any of these over-powered over the top solutions for a seriously gritty and brooding Dark Knight type is just plain corny. It ain't right. Let the gods be gods... but some of us need to be mortal men (albeit on performance enhancing drugs). There needs to be an additional Travel power and being one for suggesting simple solutions that already exist in the game just make it Fitness. One travel power that instantly grants all the individual powers of the current power pool of the same name. Perhaps tweak them up a bit and throw in a couple other little perks, but you get the idea. If I think of my alts alone this travel power would be selected for almost every other toon I make. I cant imagine anyone who is playing CoH, from a non-grind and non-PL perspective, who wouldnt jump all over this as an option for so many concepts and ideas. Really bad and massive void here guys if you consider some of the most currently popular heroes don't have flight, super speed, super jump or tele. Can I get a "heck yes" !!!!
DUAL PISTOLS as a primary without minions.
ROGUE is a day late and a dollar short on this - and as most of us know by now from peeking around at our um, competitors, it has quickly became the most popular power used on that there other side of the tracks. Ouch guys, ouch. I don't like being Burger King to their McDonalds, but lets hope it delivers none-the-less.

Quote:Enjoy it. Only 2nd really serious defender, still dislike the AT a little. The secondaries tend to be craptacular/pointless compared to blasters and the primaries make you think, "Why didn't I just make a controller?"(PS - Hamster, how do you like the dark side?
I remember when I use to pretty solo-only with my 1st scrapper and had trouble with the Terra AV. I was able to get a player to help, a dark def. I was so amazed, I rolled one the next day. She is favorite of my 4 defenders, so far.)
End use seems to be high, but no performance shifter slotted yet.
Also annoyed that you can't eliminate/take out the black out of most of the powers. Having fun through, really looking forward to having more slots on the debuff/mez powers, should really increase the effectiveness.

Ended up leveling more then I usually do during double xp.
Took my fire/thermal corruptor from 44 to 50. Made this character first week of November 2005. Got it to 39/40 early on and just let it sit there for three and a half years. Finally respecced and generic IO'ed her out last month; power customization was a major factor in playing this character again. Blue fire just looks so much better. On Saturday, ended up just mad TF'ing with this character; Lady Grey, ITF, Silver Mantis, Ice Mistral, and Eye Ball SF. Need to do 3rd respec with it now.
Ran blue side Sunday, took my dark/dark defender from 26ish to 34ish. Ran Moonfire, Hess, and Citadel back to back.

Why didn't you just have the level 41 log off for a minute to pass the star to the next person in line?

Any ideas?

Quote:Dunno yet.for this weekend? Do you plan to get more 50's, accumulate even more inf and prestige or just roll more alts?
I'm shooting for two more 50's and getting plenty of inf and prestige.
In the middle of an ATF audit, how it goes is going to really factor in if I can play or not this weekend.

Team Hamster did ok, despite have the Melee Pair of Incontinence. Went through a good chunk of Striga. In a way, I hate the "forced" nature of Striga, having to do it just to unlock the task force.
Going to run Sister Psyche before the next session, likely Monday or Tuesday.
Flux; no cheating.

No real reason to kick people, imho. They could always come back. You might stop playing yourself and they might have the opportunity to keep using the SG as well.

Forget him. If he deleted all the transporters and then didn't fix the base for months, who really cares about his opinions?
Suggest reading some of the base buildings FAQS. A few quick things:
If you delete a crafted item, you get back all prestige but lose the salvage used to create it.
Deleting ANY other object/room gets you back FULL prestige back.
There's NO bad thing in the long run about deleting decorative items or rooms. Get the base functional again. Get friend in, invite your other characters. Shouldn't be too hard to get it how you need it for decent pve play.
