  1. Eh. That's been debated.

Effectively not, but we'd still like people try to stay to the average level.

    Target level: 40ish

The Plan: Clean out any left over 35-40 content, move into the 40's.

For those unfamiliar with the group, Isolators was started shortly after badges were introduced to the game. This was in the dark, dreary times before global chat, global tells, or even coalition chat. Back then, the only way to find a person from the forums was by chance or pre-arranged meeting.

The Isolators project was started so the people who post here in Victory could actually meet and play together, so that you could have some fun with the people you chat with online. Everyone made a new character for this new group. This is an once a week supergroup that plays every 8 pm Wednesdays.

When the vast majority of the group hits 50, we start a new run of the group, switching between CoH and CoV between runs.

You don't have to be an active forum poster to join, through it's encouraged. At the very least, be a member of the community; run missions, join in advertised task forces, etc.

If you're interested in joining up this run, please feel free to post interest here. Everyone is welcome.

    A few notes:
    Everyone is welcome.
    Not everyone is welcome.
This is an once a week sg. If the group ends up at level 20 at the end of the night, please don't show up next week at level 25.
If you're a few levels behind due to playing less, don't sweat it, but try to catch up on your own or with a task force if you can.
We play 8 pm eastern on Wednesdays.
  3. Jade Empire, $3.75 for the next day.
  4. Bioshock for five bucks, Orange Box for 15.
  5. I use the application to buy stuff all the time.
  6. Man, so many sales now. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Skies for five bucks, just about every Star Wars game for five each plus a few good bundles, Space Quest series five bucks, Tacyon the Fringe for five...
  7. I've been using steam since it came out. My only problem was, years ago, the Friends service was messed up for two years. That's about it, have had no other problems with it. To the point of considering giving up physical sales of games.
  8. Steam rules.

But yes, you can just buy it and get the codes.

Also, buy Dragon Age. And Mirror's Edge for five bucks. And the Star Wars pack. And the Space Quest pack for five bucks.
  9. Yep. It also comes with a free month, so you're saving money getting it. :0

    Also:
Dragonage Origins is on sale today as well, 25 percent off.
  10. More sales, including more rolling sales.

Torchlight for 5 bucks, Dragonage 25 percent off, a pants load of older star wars games on sale.
  11. Picked that up a month or two ago when it was at five bucks as well.

General reviews from friends; great game, but a complete rip off at $50 bucks. If you're good at running/jumping games you can beat it in one day or less.
  12. I could go for some, but not for a few days; in Virginia and won't have a playable internet connection for a few days.
  13. To be honest? I actually think they SHOULD merge a few servers. It's just that supergroups are a big factor/question.

Thanks everyone for the HBD wishes.
We thought you were dead! :0
  15. You know, been wondering about the devs intentions/expectations behind this. Testing to see how many people use it?

I'm making the assumption that most people who would be willing to pay money for a transfer have already done so, so are the devs in a "what the hell, let's throw them a bone" mood? Are they testing to see what servers lose the most people?

I think it's more "bring a few blasters." The individual Christmas tree lights aren't that tough; they can dish out good damage but have lot hit points, low resistances, and tend to bunch up.
  17. Defender nukes are generally worthless. It's tough to drop even minions and then you're out of endurance with not much to show for it.

    Target level looks 40ish.

Team Hamster ran through some misc. late 30's missions, finished Terra Conspiracy arc, then moved into Tina Mac.

They don't seem to lose aggro, even if you die. I had that problem on my trollers. They would keep one shotting me every time I got back to the fight, but seemed to be ignoring the melee people. :0
  19. I tried it with only two teams earlier yesterday; we were overwhelmed by hundreds of of winters nights or whatever the wisps are called.

Other times? Barely any of the little bastards.
  20. Who's Des? I thought he died. :0
  21. Note:
All the winter zones are linked. If you defeat a Winter Lord in Galaxy and another Winter Lord is defeated in Steel 20 seconds later, their portals both go to the same zone.
