Quote:Freak.Probably not as detailed as whatever is on the other side of those links, but I:
* 2 excel files for badges with multiple tabs. Thinking of combining it into 1 file since badges aren't segregated any more.
* 1 excel file listing story arcs and their merit rewards with notes regarding how long it took me to complete the arc and any hiccups/gotchas that either make or break redoing the arc again

Quote:Mainly want to keep track of crafting bids. Like if I get a recipe drop that I want to craft to sell, I'll put a reasonable bid on any missing salvage and check on it in a day or two.I don't keep track of anything for my characters. I have mids builds built for most of them which are spread out between 3 computers (so typically I end up rebuilding them instead of pulling up an old version).
I certainly don't keep track of bids on items, I think the only thing I bid on are purples, and when I get them I craft them and stick them in the base. I am a horrible marketeer most of my toons are running around with full salvage/recipes/enhancement inventories. The only time I ever clear them is before a long tf and then usually its just by deleting or selling to a store the common recipes/salvage/enhancements.
Also, just a quick glance at your builds Hamster, you sir are insane. Numina R/R in energize, aegis 6 slotted instead of a steadfast +3% def???

Quote:Excel is quick and easy. Especially for easy spotting what characters have crafting bids out or need something. Just a quick control-f or glance through, rather then opening individual files.Wouldn't an easier way to do all that to do a build in Mids and save two copies? Then you can just remove IOs from the 2nd one as you buy and slot them? You know you are done when it's empty? (and still have the original saved so that it's easy to see the full one).
Though you could not keep track of inf this way I guess.
I tried to keep track of stuff, especially my bidding on WW, but it was just too cumbersome LOL.

Quote:Doesn't take any time. Just update inf when I'm done w/ a task force, all the text fields are copy and pasted from the other entries when a character hits 50.Okay, ouch my head hurts. You must be an Accountant that works in a room all day with no windows and any direct access to sunlight?..heh...heh. Someone has waaay too much time on their hands. We need to get you on Dr. Phil and see if he can help.

Quote:Hanging out afk has nothing to do with excel. :0Well, this does explain the long periods of apparent inactivity in the FoJ and SoV bases.
I had just chalked it up to being distracted by pr0n...
And to answer the question: Not at all.
Hell. I've logged into toons after x weeks/months of relative inactivity and wondered, "Now why did I put out those bids?". Or more likely, discovering a purple/numina/miracle/lotg recipe I'd forgotten about. -
-
Could probably get rid of the dates... Not really sure of the point to that any more.

When IO's first came out way back in the day, they were initially expensive. People had in some case dozens of level 50's that they wanted IO's on all of them. I took the slot as stuff drops approach and waited for prices to drop to go on buying sprees, but realized that I'd need to keep track on who had what slotted and who had what holes in their sets.
So I created a spreadsheet!
Now, I tend to fully slot when they hit 50, but still keep track of everything for planning.
On the left is character name, how much inf they had, last date that inf changed/was verified, if they need vanguard merits for fanny back, lotg rare, numina, etc. Bottom is misc notes like idea for next respec or if they have crafting bids out. -
Heh. Meant to ask why you were advertising a task force seven hours after you were planning on starting it.

Hoping my dom will be a bit more effective next week. Got a karma to slot in combat jumping now as well as a level 30 Devastation: Chance to Hold to put in Jolting Chain. Hoping that's going to give me a nice ghetto aoe hold.

Well, team Hamster ran through the 20-25 Sky Raiders arc and then the 25-30 time traveling nazi arc. Horatus died. A lot.
Target level looks to be 27 for next week. -
Meeting: Run number nine, phase five
Date: 09.15.10
Target Level: 24ish

For those unfamiliar with the group, Isolators was started shortly after badges were introduced to the game. This was in the dark, dreary times before global chat, global tells, or even coalition chat. Back then, the only way to find a person from the forums was by chance or pre-arranged meeting.
The Isolators project was started so the people who post here in Victory could actually meet and play together, so that you could have some fun with the people you chat with online. Everyone made a new character for this new group. This is an once a week supergroup that plays every 8 pm Wednesdays.
When the vast majority of the group hits 50, we start a new run of the group, switching between CoH and CoV between runs.
You don't have to be an active forum poster to join, through it's encouraged. At the very least, be a member of the community; run missions, join in advertised task forces, etc.
If you're interested in joining up this run, please feel free to post interest here. Everyone is welcome.
A few notes:
Everyone is welcome.
Not everyone is welcome.
This is an once a week sg. If the group ends up at level 20 at the end of the night, please don't show up next week at level 25.
If you're a few levels behind due to playing less, don't sweat it, but try to catch up on your own or with a task force if you can.
We play 8 pm eastern on Wednesdays. -
Five deaths, two hour time limit, no travel powers! Let's get some extra badges going up in here.

Most of them were jerks, anyways.

Update:
From my experience and claims:
Scrapper: Stalker
Tank: Brute
Blaster: Corruptor
Controller: Dom
Defender: Mastermind
Anyone have a confirmation for kheldians?
We experienced some "bugs" with the scrapper's stalker power last night. It seems that any time two people would try to enter the security room (ie, a stalker and a scrapper), one would die. -
Wait, it is 24ish, isn't it? Would have to double check but I believe you're correct.

Eh. With super sidekicking, keeping up with the average level is less important (but suggested). As long as you can get to the city, should be able to catch up easy. Group is only level 22ish.

My experience is that blasters get the mm power. Posted a thread on this in the Questions forum, see if anyone has confirmation for the rest of the ATs.

Anyone have a list of what hero AT's get which temp powers? Getting contradictory stories/theories on this from a variety of experts.
Obviously, the only truly important question; which one gets the mastermind temp power?
