Quote:Double included this one. Was referring to tutorial contacts like the AE jerk.[*] Be able to auto drop tutorial contacts.
It's the TUTORIAL. If you don't want to do it, don't do it.
Quote:[*] Rogues/vigs get blank badge place holders for the newly opened task forces they haven't run.
I really don't see a need for this.
Quote:[*] Auction options remain after you log (autocomplete setting, etc). And perm shut off of usefull salvage warningÂ…
I see no need for the former. The latter is a good idea though.
Quote:[*] Allow more storage bins in superbases.
We've got plenty. You're hoarding, aren't you? That's what causes inflation.
Quote:[*] O-Zone no longer interupts base tp / pocket d tp. That, or massively cut the activation time for those two powersÂ…
I'm... not sure I understand this request.
Quote:[*] Be able to sginvite by left clicking on someones name in a tell.
If they're not with you, they probably don't need an SG Invite.
Quote:[*] Tone down paragon protector's mog.
Why? Are you a little girl? Are they too hard for you?
Quote:[*] Fix bug in the way player notes are saved; if you enter player notes on a character and then that character is deleted, the notes will remain/transfer to any new person who makes a character with that name.
...Has this been problematic?
Quote:[*] Put an auction house in every zone in Petoria.
Imperial City's not far. Are your legs broken?
Quote:[*] Access to Safeguard/Mayhem missions via o-zone (for the accolade!).
Too easy. Make 'em work for it.

Quote:That's all well and good. There are quite a few possibilities here:
1) He can write with a pseudopod or something. The most-hated DE intern job is cleaning Hami's pencils.
2) He can levitate pens or whatever with the power of his mind.
3) He assumes control of a Bladegrass or whatever and writes through it.
4) The arc takes place before he fully devolved into an amoeba; at the time he wrote it, he was some kind of inhuman horror, but he still had fingers.
5) He took control of someone's mind and wrote through them. We haven't seen Hami do this, but it seems like a likely power for a superintelligent amoeba, based on my comics experience.
6) Perhaps the scariest of all, a sympathetic, non-DE human though he was so wonderful that the human wrote it on his behalf.
7) The most likely of all: whoever wrote the arc and whoever created the in-game Hamidon both worked from the same, extremely vague outline in the story bible, never even spoke to each other, and would be shocked at each other's interpretations if they hadn't left the dev team years ago.
But would it make more sense to just assume, I dunno:
0) He wrote it when he was still human? -

I heard they laid him off over his inability to come up with animations for the new I19 melee set, Sword-Chucks.

Quote:I think a better strategy might be; buy something that's worth the most at the time, craft it, and sell it.I cashed in my very first A Merit for 5 randoms. VERY disappointed. Got 5 trash recipies that were on the market for less than 11,000 inf each. Talk about an unlucky roll.

Looks 32ish.
Team Hamster ran through the 30's Vampire arc, rogue robots mini arc, and rolled into the Freakshow arc. Will continue on with the freakshow next week. -
Quote:It does? Doh. Thought rogues/vigs didn't receive anything for running repeat morality missions. That is because it does, atleast 30 merits per time (It may be 30 for the first and 60 each time after.).
To be honest, it's never come up yet. All my heroes stayed pure and all my villains went rogue, but if I choose a villain to play for the evening it's usually running a blue side task force that it doesn't have the badge for.

Quote:Hmmm. Hamidon's plan; kill all humans. Yeah, I think that makes you the bad guy.Does that make me a Hero, a Villain, or something else?
I mean, seriously, I'm chilling on Nova Praetoria's waterfront, looking at the towering jungle at the city outskirts, and thinking to myself "the Hamidon is the bad guy here? What?"
Or this guy:

Quote:AE gave xp at a highly advanced rate; however, it was a VERY cash poor way to level up.Because it's boring? At that point you might as well hop into an AE building and run it to 50.
Personally, I have a couple of toons that I have been grinding a-merits on. One blue (scrapper) and one red (brute). Yes, I know with the email system in place it's not necessary but doing things this way at least adds a little variety. I tend to run the scrapper more because I find the villain morality mission more annoying than the blue one.
As far as the 50/20 situation, I suspect the devs will eventually regret putting that carrot out there. Not so much that you can convert reward merits into a-merits but that you can essentially convert 50 reward merits into 100 reward merits as far as random rolls are concerned.
As for the conversion of 50 to 100? Yeah, but 20 mill puts a BIG caboosh into that. I'd rather have 2-1/2 rolls plus 20 mill then having 5 rolls.

Part of me is annoyed over the change to the game/financial system. Part of me doesn't care and wants to just play like normal, but another part wants to play in the most financially beneficial manner / "game the system" in the easiest way.
On my way up, I usually run missions and task forces. But this raises the question; why do anything but A-missions? There is currently a fairly significant financial incentive to only do that. It's far more efficient then doing the 50/20 conversion.

Anyone giving up random rolls entirely? Switching to 50 merits+20 mill to buy an a-merit exclusively?
Given the continued price dropping of LoTG and Numinas, I suspect a fair number people are. Curious on when it's going to reach an equilibrium; with fewer people doing random rolls, it's going to make more recipes rarer. -
I've long noticed a very weird/inconsistent tip drop rate. I've had numerous times running 8 man level 50 teams where I didn't get a tip drop in mission for 4-8 missions but could get a 30 percent tip drop rate attacking grays outside.

Quote:This issue is my number one quality of life issue. Because without a change to respecs (which has been needed for years now), I19 is going to suck. I'm looking at least 10+ hours of just respeccing characters for the fitness changes.but when I19 comes out, I'm going to be stuck in MIDs and the respec screen for weeks! Not to mention redoing all my ranged attack poses, Task Forces, Alpha slots on like 20 level 50's, getting my badger into Praetoria, who isn't even near finished getting her villain badges...never ending I tells ya!
My idea:
Quick/assisted respec. Something like, if you had Flares slotted with six pieces of Devestation at the start of the respec and you still have the power six slotted at the end of the respec, the enhancements would remain slotted. Button on each power to move slotted enhancements to the Unplaced bin. Same treatment for power trays. -

Yeah, but that's directly related to one of my demands. The main reason people don't use o-zone more regularly is the inability to invite people in part way through. It forces people into a task force without much of the reward or interest of doing a task force. Why not... Just do a task force?
-
Quote:They need to change o-zone to start with. Let's face it, people use it just as a transit hub and that's about it.Based on this thread (link), I am wondering if the devs are killing two birds with one stone: improving QoL in general & for rog/vig toons; and changing Oro with the incarnate stuff. Based on the screen shots, Oro doesn't look so good any more.

Quote:Been doing a number of TF's with my villains (all my villains have gone rogue). Having to go from Chantry to Atlas? KR to Bricks? Atlas to Crey? Bit annoying. Of course, while no base access is annoying and this train/ferry change will be a big help, let's face it. No o-zone access is the big time killer.Yup. Ran a few TFs with vigilantes blueside that were originally villains, and that was quite annoying for how long it took them to get anywhere. It obviously takes anyone a little while to travel from Brickstown to KR, but for how long they were doing it... ugh.
Quote:Not sure what your impression of Barracuda is, but most people I see posting about it think it's more interesting and fun than the Kahn TF, and I agree. It's a little bit of a pain to have to track down the AVs in the last map (it'd make more sense if they spawned in near you or ran up to you), but I think it's better than fighting them all at once. -
-
Quote:I have to agree with this one. Adding more exploration badges to existing zones is fairly high on my "fail-o-meter." What's more, don't the hazard zones still have a fog of war? Sending me on another lap of boomtown isn't going to make me appreciate that zone any more or make it a favorite street sweeping destination.
Explore badges are great if you like to read game lore...and that is about all. Do they get people to actually explore the game world? Maybe, but I would wager most players just use a guide or map pack and don't pay much attention to the surroundings as they jump around.
Especially if you already have the zone explored. That's one of the major annoyances of tracking down badges...

Quote:Going to be a big help for rogues/vig's without base access.DC... you don't like the changes to the ferry/train system? Are you insane? You're still going to see all the zones that the missions make you go to, and that's not changing... so I don't see how this means we're seeing less of the zones. If I don't have to trek from one side of Steel Canyon or Skyway City so I can get to Talos or something, that's a GOOD thing. I'm still going to be seeing those zones plenty. It's not like you're going to know what side of the zone your mission is on, anyway, so it's still going to happen, anyway.
Rogue Isles is even better. It's a PITA getting to Mercy and PO, and you have to go there a lot, even at higher levels. This change makes me less annoyed about going to those zones in the first place.

Quote:The mouth/eye based attacks is being addressed in I19 thankfully. I've always hated those. I mean, why does my character shoot fire with every attack from her hands BUT one from her mouth? Bah.Instead of allowing more storage bins in SGs, I'd bump up the max volumne of each.
Anyway.....Agreed to these ideas in particular and the bolded ones in double particular.
