  1. Well, out of 26 level 50's, all have a common slotted and maybe nine have an uncommon slotted. Most post-I19 respecs completed. And thoughts to the future are coming up.

Tier 1 alpha? Equivalent of 12 merits. Tier 2? Equivalent of 20 merits past the tier 1. So what of the future, then?

Obviously you'll be able to save up shards and use them for anything. Anyone saving up extra components, or people too nervous that they'll just accumulate stuff they'll never use?

And what about Ham-O's? Anyone taking the component from STF/LRSF instead of a Ham-O?
  2. elec/elec brute or axe/shield brute are buffy.

  3. Got a dam/mez.

  4. Whirling hands is mainly a damage attack that also does a mez. As I said, I could picture placing it in an attack like that (especially an aoe like that).

But for a pure mez attack that does little to no damage? One that you'd put an entire set of Absolute Amazement on? It doesn't make any sense.

Causing -tohit doesn't help you hit an enemy.

And again; the duration of the -tohit (even if it works) is LESS then any mez power worth slotting this on. It's a fairly pointless proc.

The only time I can see slotting this (if it worked) is MAYBE on a damage attack that can also take mez slots. But for a mez only power? This is pointless.

  6. You know, I always considered this the most useless proc ever. It's not a major debuff and odds are the mob is going to be mezzed anyways.
  7. Not only are the merit vendors ugly, I also question the sheer number of them. Why are there multiple in some zones? Heck, why are they in every zone?

IIRC, they've always behaved like this. The mobs have always despawned as the new present came and the mobs have always been of the appropriate level of the zone. I really don't see the issue here.

Ours was a traps/mercs mm. We had 2 mms on team, a def, a corr, 2 brutes, and a scrappydo, and managed to get a masters of badge and already dead badge as well. Just a heads up for the future.

    hew
To be honest, I'd quit before doing it with a non-slotted character. That person is just leaching.

Hmmmm. You know, that really seems to be random. Same AV's don't care if you have a toggle on them, some go nuts. I did have Snow Storm on him the entire time. The tanker claimed to be taunting him but they're notorious liars.

from the times ive done tin mage and apex tfs, i think apex is way more fun and balanced than tin mage

apex tf is actually fairly fun, challenging but not too challenging, not too much of a grindfest, ect

tin mage on the other hand was like 10x more of a PITA in my opinion and i like challenging tfs, but tin mage was just annoying not fun

the 2nd and 3rd mishs werent too bad, the final battle was pretty epic, but i do agree than bobcat being that overpowered is not exactly enjoyable, i watched a brute get 3 shotted through unstoppable fighting her. the first mish wasnt too bad until we got to director 11, hes not too hard of an AV to fight, but he is insanely annoying because he just runs around like a chicken with his head cut off even when taunted, and i also agree that lvl 54 malta are prolly 10x more annoying than lvl 54 war works. i actually feel that most of the praetorian groups are overall weaker than most enemy groups
In my experience, the "WTF THIS IS BS" reaction comes from how well the team does against two things:
The Patches of Death in Apex and the Director Jerk in Tin Mage. Everything else is fairly straight forward and not a pain, even for non-optimal teams.

  14. I KNOW, right?

I love how they're all just cowering in the cubicle WITH A BOMB IN IT. With their backs to the bomb at that. People, just turn around and... Walk out. Just walk away!

Honestly? I found the Goliathes to be far easier then Neuron or Bobcat.

Also, iirc, if you don't attack anyone for two minutes you can reslot the alpha inside a mission. Or is it four?

This time around, we were having a HORRIBLE time keeping him locked down. He's go running around at random, people would chase him into a mine field and we kept having stacking casualties from the mines.

Going forward we will see a few more invisible types like this, but more few and far between now that they've been heavily featured.
I just wish they'd start putting lava in... Well, everything. It's a very underused game feature. My moto is; if something is empty, see if you can put lava in it.

To be honest.... Two to three team members were, to put it politely; well intentioned but flaky. Really not paying attention to the team or any discussions of coordination. Director Jerk was a huge death sink. We were also a bit melee heavy and for a lot of the TF we were down by 1-2 people due to crashing/power outage issues.

Heh. I've snagged him on a number of task forces the past two weeks. By God, I'll force him to be social if he has to die 100 times for it! Which he may have.

It's just that I don't think he'll ever agree to another Tin Mage. :0
