Mastermind trap's set, acid mort can take targetted aoe set (Ragnarok chance for knockdown, for the win!). Just got my traps corruptor to 50 and.... Corruptor (and apparently defender) acid mort can only take ranged damage sets? For what's the same power?
Anyone know if this is a bug or a weird change they made and will have confirmed "working as intended" ?

Quote:Again though, that's not the thing. I don't think many people care if no one is TALKING in team chat. It' the people who are NOT paying attention to team chat or even the GAME because they're too busy chatting with people not even on the team.As someone who uses Vent rather frequently for teams and other things, I find it polite to repeat instructions via chat if not everybody in the team is on the server talking to us. I will, however, also say that having Vent running can be very distracting, especially if there are a lot of people talking at once, as is often the case with my SG's vent. And if several members of the team are talking over voice chat, team chat often winds up being rather quiet. I do not, however, close chat tabs or go afk from a team without announcing it in chat.

I've also been moving things in Samuel's room around. You know, like putting the stabler on the other side of the desk, switching the contents of dresser drawers, mismatching socks, etc. Next week, going to start changing the homepage on his web browser and drinking his all his milk then putting the empty jug back in the fridge.

Was thinking of taking one character the rest of the way to 50 (currently 47ish). Rest will be inf/shard nailing out.

Quote:This isn't a voice chat issue. This is a problem with any person who finds something more interesting then the game they're currently playing. Doesn't matter if it's webbrowsing, vent chatting, sg chat, global chat, phone call, etc. As others have suggested, just make a note in their player notes and kick them from the team. How do you deal with a player who prefers to use skype or vent?
I was leading a strikeforce the other day and was trying to get all the players in the zone to start the strikeforce. One player, whom I shall call ToonX, wouldn't zone in even after 5 mins of me repeatedly asking to do so. In fact, he was doing some lowbie mission in Mercy even though he was lvl 40. Irritated, I kicked ToonX and told him to send me tell when he got out. I was about to start without him, but he finished his mission and asked for an invite. I figure it was a fluke and invited him.
During the SF, I tell folks what to expect and where the next mission is so they can ouro out of the mish to save time. Even with my instructions, ToonX was getting into the missions 5 mins after everyone else got there, attacking the wrong things, etc.
Later on, I found out that ToonX was on vent and his chat window was closed.
Now, how am I supposed to be able to give instructions?
Do these vent users think that vent is the way to go and communicating with the team any other way is old skool?

Personally, I kept all my heroes pure hero but took every single villain rogue, giving me around 21 heroes and nine rogues. For the red side characters, the benefit is massive; there's just so many more task forces blue side and generally triple the player population/teams running.
Blue characters? Opening up a-merits vs. opening up five strike forces and the respec trials? No question of staying hero any more.

Quote:3-5 hours. I've had a few that went 2-5 minutes under 3, if the team is good.*sighs* How long is this stupid thing again? And would we be fighting 50s so shards would at least drop? I'm only willing to do this once for the badge on Grey Pilgrim, and I kind of doubt I have the time if it's over 2.5 hours (and if you're willing to do this Saturday night). I seem to recall it being longer than that, which is why I have never bothered. But feel free to let me know if it's otherwise.
Exemp level is 44.

Well, I have another character hitting 44 and that means it's time for a Quaterjerk TF. Anyone up for it? Wouldn't mind doing it double xp weekend (ride it all the way to 50!). Would like to do the TF for xp and get this character to 50 before the next wave of alpha slot upgrades come out.

Quote:If it's within a set group or it's warned ahead of time? I have no problem with that. But it's the random jackalope that you get once or twice a year that will not only have a near useless concept character that will join your team and then become very pissed off about any questions about it.Ah, I see where you're coming from now. I've heard this argument a couple times. See, I have several really effective characters--so when friends see me playing gimpy characters (of which I also have a few), they sometimes want to know why. There are a couple of reasons. I could be experimenting. But usually, it's because I'm playing a concept character.
"But," I can hear you saying, "concept characters are a waste of everyone's time!"
Yeah. Uh huh. Tell that to the regular group of concept players I team up with. I guess we're wasting each others time in harmony.
(What's nuts is that I play on Virtue, where I wouldn't expect to have to explain the notion of a concept character.)
The classic: The petless mastermind.
2nd Runner up: The pug stalker
3rd Runner up: bow defenders

Quote:And that doesn't change the fact that he's still a bow defender. That is, after all, little better then being a stalker, melee player without mez protection, or a person without a travel power. Sure they're on the team, but you can smell their gimpness from across the map. It's just unpleasant and unfair to all those involved. He's my favorite Phalanx member. And my pure archer (also a natural origin) is one of my favorite characters. And yeah, it would be nice to be able to read bios for these characters.
Quote:That was random.
