In Siren's Call, if you leave the hotspots alone, the heroes will remain in control. Should not the reverse be true in RV?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Agreed, that would make sense.
  2. Is the clock supposed to start ticking when you enter the mish? I entered, and the clock was already down to something like 16 minutes, instead of 20.

The first time I exited the police station, right when I clicked the door to exit I feel through a hole in the geometry and ended up waaaaay below the streets of Founder's Falls. The only way I was able to get topside was to fly until I bumped my head through the bottom of a fountain, then type /stuck. Quite odd.

In the bank I had two problems. First, it was really extremely DARK. I've never encoutered that particular problem before, but it was quite hard to see in there. The second problem really isn't a bug... I forgot to turn down my difficulty slider beforehand, so Citadel spawned as a Hero in the bank. He is TOUGH. I pounded on him for a couple of minutes but it became clear I wasn't going to be able to budge his health bar much. It also became clear that even with Unstoppable on, I was extremely stoppable, so I left.

    Overall, a lot of fun.

Please Dev's, just give us the ACCURATE FORMULA'S that you use in game for powers.

This would help all of us to make decisions, and would allow the player base to inform you when something is not working AS PUBLISHED.

It is utterly pointless to attempt to "plan" a AT in game without hard numbers. I can add a enhancement to my powers which may give it a 33/20/whatever amount of "boost" but without knowing what the base actually is, it is an uninformed decision at best. While the Hero Planners help in this regard, there is still a dark cloud of mystery around making decisions in game about our AT's and this needs to end.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes ... giving us the formulas would help us. It would also give any competition they might have invaluable assistance in building their games, and may even void any patents or potential patents the game might get.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's not a sensible argument. Filing a patent requires disclosure, not secrecy. Only prior art (someone doing it before you, not after) will endanger a patentable invention.

I haven't quoted the remainder of your post where you poo-poo the notion of published numbers, and you advocate to just build toons by trial and error. But that is not a constructive argument either. If they published hard numbers it wouldn't take away from your preferred method of building characters by trial and error. But there are many of us that would appreciate hard numbers. For example, in my Invuln Brute, it's very hard to go about an intelligent slotting strategy is for my various armors because their strengths are not formally documented anywhere.

Stateman has previously explained that his goal in not publishing numbers was to not intimidate/alienate casual gamers. But he has also publicly noted that WoW publishes precise numbers and that game doesn't seem to be hurting for players.

I would say a great compromise would be to fully publish/document everything here in the forums. That way motivated players who cared about numbers could do their research, and casual gamers and those like yourself that like to just build by "feel" could continue to do that in blissful ignorance.

Psymon Omega, or is it Psimon?

The tech next to the CoT portal in the Northwest of the Nerva map also refers to Psymon as Psimon
  5. I have a lvl 35 robot MM, so here's a few observations:

As noted, slotting the bots for acc becomes important as you level up, since their relative level drops compared to you. Because I often do mishes with enemies that are +1 or +2 to me, I slot my battle drones with 3 acc, the prot bots with 2 acc, and the assault bot with 1 acc. If they don't hit, none of the other slotting matters.

After lvl 32, your prot bots will indeed run out of end in long fights. Slotting them with one EndReduc helps. Or you can just feed them a blue occasionally, as I do.

I didn't take the Fitness pool. I completely run out of End during the initial summon/upgrade cycle at the start of a mish, but it's not a big deal; it was worth it being able to get 3 other powers. Once my bots are summoned I don't have End probs; of course, I let the bots do most of the fighting for me, so YMMV.

I strongly oppose slotting Prot bots with DefBufs; it's not worth it, as their bubbles are puny to start with. Post-32, I have mine slotted 2 Acc, 3 Dam, 1 Disorient. Don't slot for Disorient pre-32, since they only get those attacks with the last upgrade. You could swap out one of the Dam for a Heal, or swap the Disorient with an EndReduc.

My MM is Force Field, so I don't have the AoE heal of /dark, so if you're not /dark, I strongly recommend picking up Aid Other from the Medicine pool. I have mine slotted 3 Recharge and 3 Heal. I use it both on my bots and my teammates (you don't need 3 Heals for just your bots; they don't have many HP.). With Heal Other, I do a vastly better job of keeping my bots healthy than the Prot bots do, thus I don't have them slotted for heal. Of course, Aid Other has a very short range and is interruptible, so be mindful of its limitations.
