  1. Picked this char up again after a coupel of months of inactivity. She's pretty fun and i think i'll try IO her out eventually.

This is the build i came up with. Trying to stay away from purples as i think they're not worth it.

Knockdown is less than mag 1 knockback.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And knockup isn't enhanced by knockback.
Enhancing knockdown past 1 mag will make it into knockback also. One Knockback SO is usually enough to turn most knockdown powers into knockback.
  3. To me herding is slower and plain boring

First of all, the tanks i've grouped with have for the most part been rubbish at it, often scattering groups rather than bunching em up. Secondly i tend to play mostly damage heavy ATs (Scrappers, Blasters and Brutes), i can often obliterate a group before a tanker manages to get them where he planned to.
Especially hate herding on my brute as i see my precious fury bar tick down between each group.
Like an itf i did a few days ago. The desktop general we had for a leader insisted on herding, so i stood there... waited...waited...waited, then i could kill the group with shield charge and lightning rod, then it was back to waiting...waiting... waiting.

Unless the groups are spread out, just let herding die peacefully. To me it's seems that a few try stick with it, regardless that the main point of it was patched out in issue 3/4 or so.
  4. If you don't mind losing the 6 slot bonus from thunderstrike, i would slot focus with:
    Devastation Acc/dmg/rech, acc/dmg/end/rech plus Thunderstrike: Acc/dmg/end, Acc/dmg/rech, dmg/end/rech.
And for the 6th slot, behaps the recharge bonus proc from force feedback. Would lose the 2.5 ranged def, the 4% travel bonus and 7% acc, but you'd gain 12% regen, better bonuses for focus itself and the proc.

    Just an idea tho.
  5. Would Aid Self really be needed with willpower and that much extra regen?
  6. [ QUOTE ]

And if your sidekicked to 47+ you will gain the chance to recieve Superior Purple IO's.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Only if you're fighting 47+.
you can get purples at lower level than 47 as long as the mobs you fight are 47 or above.
  7. Would think girls have the awesome button, not guys
  8. [ QUOTE ]

Bah, some of us were 6-ing Brawl before IO's and sets came out.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And look how you turned out!
  9. Move me to yellow team 2 please, i wanna be on same team as Psy and Gonk
  10. Well, looking at his build, he's gottan ~20% positional defense to all three. And the performance shifter gives 3.13% aoe defense so i'm guessing he slotted it for that and not for acc and recharge.

It's an intresting build imo. Would love to hear how it works out for you. Looks quite expensive tho

    soooo not touching that.

The only blaster I have enjoyed so far is my AR/Dev blaster because I found something deeply satisfying about sitting on a rooftop picking off mobs

    [/ QUOTE ]

Try AR/EM and pick em off with boost range active

Red (Not interested. Don't tell, or even THINK about a blind invite)
Grey (Doesn't care. Send a tell but don't blind invite)
Other (Actively Looking - Sending a tell first is polite, but blind invites are generally acceptable unless their comment says otherwise)

    [/ QUOTE ]

That bit looks good to me.
If i log in i get automatically set to not looking for team. I do not mind at all if people send me tells then asking if i want to team, i might just not gotten around to flagging myself or i simply forgot.

It really works both ways, you are playing an MMO. It's a multiplayer world. There's nothing wrong with player interaction, infact it should be encouraged.
If you are soloing and get so gosh darned annoyed at getting asked to team in a multiplayer game, then it might be an idea to actually go out of your way to put the red flag on yourself. Because then you will more then likely be left alone and not get upset by getting tells asking you to join teams.

Simply because the "not looking" is default, it is interpreted by me, and i know by several others as well, as a "not doing anything or i just logged in flag". I do not mind at all getting asked to join teams with the not looking flag up. And simply putting "soloing" in the comment is in my opinion really not giving enough information that you are soloing and want to be left alone. Like i said before, it could be equally well interpreted as that you're just alone atm and up for grabs.
And that has nothing to do with people going out of their way to annoy others, they might simply just want other people to play with, and god forbid teaming in a MMO.

I agree that the lfg tool is pretty lacking in many areas.
But the attitude expressed by certain individuals in this thread it's almost as if they expect you to read minds.
  16. it gives 20% acc and 5% (??) tohit now.
I rarely miss with it running, but most my attacks are slotted to have 60+% acc anyway.

    ps.
    Morty stinks!

I think i would have to agree with Scarlet on that one.

"Soloing" can be interpreted as they're soloing at the moment. If they really wanna be left alone, go hide.
Could just as well be read as "soloing right now so i'm free for teams".

If you really wanna tell everyone you're soloing only, set the tag to not looking for team and the search note to "I don't want to team".

    [/ QUOTE ]

The default tag setting *is* "Not looking for team". People may not want to use "Hide from Searches" in case someone they know pops on.

I love PuGs, I rarely solo. However if I see "soloing" in someones comments unless their Status is actively set to LFT I'd assume they're up to something themselves and quite happy.

    [/ QUOTE ]

There is a not looking setting which actually makes your name red in the search window.

  19. decreased the tohit bonus by alot and gave it some +accuracy
also make it quite a bit cheaper to run.

Does about the same in PvE, but i think it's weaker in PvP now.
  20. Herding for the most part is pretty pointless.
It was great when you had no liimt on how many targets your aoe hit, i recall killing hundreds of riktimonkeys in one well placed aoe back in the good old days.
    But today... why?
Aoes have a max limit of 16, unless the group is very scattered, it's sooo much faster for everyone to just jump into the middle and grab aggro.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
well he did it in sessions

    [/ QUOTE ]

In sessions? like he did the ITF 4 times and soloed each of the nictus each time while his team did the other three at the time??
  22. Even with the aggro cap. How did he manage to move the nictus? they refuse to aggro when you attack em.

But one thing that does bug me is a single "No" reply to a team invite. That's almost ruder than not replying - at least with no reply they might be busy. "No thanks" or something similar is fine but when somebody has a message saying LFT and you ask nicely and get "No" you just think "@$$"

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't really see why "no" is so rude. I guess if it was in caps with a bundle fo exclamations after it could be viewd as rude.
By the same reasoning wouldn't "yes" be equally rude?
yes/no, yes please / no thanks. sure it's more polite with the longer phrase, but it's not rude to just say yes/no.
