Looks intresting, but not really as much as i expected.
Tho after two cossie less issues, i'm stoked they're adding more costume options, yay!
I am hoping we'll get some more powersets, either copied or brand new. -
Hope you had a wonderful weekend love
*hugs and kisses* -
change the smash/lethal def in first power to melee def and it might be slightly more appealing.
-
*gasp*
Thats so...
wow...
Thanks DD!
She looks awesome, well done -
Am i the only one who think it's absolutely hilarious the above poster was moaning and preaching doom before issue 13 that we got no info.
And now that we'll be getting some, he's moaning about that. -

He looks like a real challenge, so it's impossible?
[/ QUOTE ]
He wasn't impossible, keep in mind the TF required pretty much a full SG for 75 people.
[ QUOTE ]
Was he actually that size tho?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, that was his actual size.

Rofl, how about a cutified Hamidon?
If that could be cutified I'd be well impressed

This is the reason Pys can't be replaced
(sorry Psy couldn't resist giving it a go >< Consider me no threat to your skills ^ ^')

Hah thats cute and coolwell done!

Thats Rularuu. Never been seen ingame as far as I know.

He was in the Cathedral of Pain taskforce if memory serves.
Had to take him out within 1 minute.
Here's a lil vid to show his size...

I wonder if it would be possible to make some plushie using Psygons cute-ification as base. That would be wicked cool.

Her face looks a little odd to be, kinda sharp and blocky.
Other than that it looks nice, perhaps the wings are kinda on the large side.
Also love the name, Synvilla is swedish for Mirage. -

you're more likely to see stuttering due to network lag than a bunch of capes in a raid.
[/ QUOTE ]
That depends entierly on which is worse, your graphics harware or your internet connection.
[/ QUOTE ]
Considering the network infrastructure in the area the servers are in. I'd guess the internet connection -
What i mean is, you're more likely to see stuttering due to network lag than a bunch of capes in a raid.
Anyone who been in a large raid know that capes stutter when it's laggy, mobs ragdoll physics are also stuttering in laggy areas etc.
I know perfectly well the diffrence in performance slowdown and network lag. But in places and raids with extreme network lag, you get something which look like performace lag, like stuttering bodies, stuttering capes, wings not flapping etc. -

Technically, old hami wasn't designed for 100+.
But current hami is designed for 50, and their are comonly that many on mothership raids, and 50 players with 3 capes each would cause the same performance hit as 150 players with one cape each, which is more than the old hami raids.
[/ QUOTE ]
First of all, old hamidon statesman posted he had the vision of hundreds of heroes attacking it. I remember it quite well, cause there was an argument that SGs only were max 75, then he rebutted with a whole coalition to take down hamidon. So it were part of the design. Thats for the very first hamidon, it got redone before EU launch, and even more after. Lost track on what changed were made. But i know how it was at start, cause i was there and raided him a few times.
To reduce lag we were told to put on the fabled hami-kini. But to be honest, i saw no gain in performance.
And to say having two capes would be like havign two chars is overexxagerating it. Cause with three capes (yes you could do it earlier) all three capes moved the same, not like there was one calculation for each, rather one calculation for all capes on the char. They move exaktly the same. And you can even see it now using two capes, since it's still possible.
Sure more caps is more to render, but it's not as bad as you make it out to be.
Also everyone will not use all three cape possibilities, cause in 90% of the time, having more then one cape makes em clip something fierce and look utter rubbish. There are some instances tho where they work very well together and look fab.
Make a lil test, record a rikti raid. Then in demo edit replace all chars with Mirror Spirit. She uses eight capes in her costume. And see if your computer suddenly runs 8 times slower. It won't, in large raids like that it's not capes which cause lag, it's the network not keeping up. -
[ QUOTE ]
It's a performance issue. As anyone who remembers the old hami raids will tell you, lots of capes in one place cause a bad performance hit.
Now imagine that performance hit multiplied by three.

Yea, but no encounter in game atm is designed like old hamidon which were designed for 100+ players. -
Usually my chars tend to get more fun past 20, specially 22 when you get access to the SO enhancements.
One part could be that as a new player, you might've made some poor power choises, which could lead to a character becoming unfun.
Or perhaps you just picked powersets which don't mesh well or aren't as satisfying for you. Can't speak for you, but for me i had some pretty nice character concepts with certain powers and i just never couldn't get into those powers. I personally hate ice blast for blaster, and dark melee for scrappers for example.
Even two chars of same archtype can be diffrent. I do not play my Assault Rifle / Energy blaster the same as my Fire / Fire Blaster.
Also something for me which made chars more fun, is that once i got some sets i have fun with, is to create a character with a good concept that suits powers and a fitting name.
I personally wouldn't and couldn't make a char, click random on costume and name myself "lol Hero 123". Not sayign you did, but finding a good concept and name is a pretty big step into making the character fun.
Ideally would be making something that you can associate with, a char that would be you.
I have that with Sapphic Neko, she's pretty much my signature character. She's the most fun to play and i've put the most effort into her. And i've come to like her so much she actually exsists in three diffrent incarnations. -

Though I admit it's kind "naked" on the background, after some frustrating attempts, I chose to let it black, thinking that, as a kheldian, is a being of star energy. The black would show more the nictus part, as warshades are more from the dark side (insert Master Yoda here) than peacebringers.
I'm not sure if I'm clear enough, or if my english is understandable^^;
[/ QUOTE ]
Point taken. Perhaps one idea would be to lessen the amount of pink sparkles on the character, and have more of em i the background.
It just looks to me like it all blends together, which takes away from an otherwise pretty nice pic. -

I've had my refund for the over charge.
[/ QUOTE ]
Likewise, took three days. Which i think was kinda quick.
There's been other companies which have taken FAR longer for the refund to happen. -
That looks pretty nifty. Tho i think i'd rather have seen a diffrent color background, the character and background kinda blend in, despite the white outlines.
-
I lose active defense buff almost every time i enter a MA mission. it's quite annoying having to wait for it to cycle before i can actually start the mission.
-
That does look pretty nifty. I agree with Swissy it's alittle on the dark side.

Here's the rubbish one i made for Sapphic Neko:
