    What's its recharge time like?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Pretty much instant.
And it costs no endurance, so out of that standpoint it's fine, but it's having to resummon it pretty much after every little fight thats a pain in the tushie.

Yeah me too... though I think it's going to look better on a tighter top. Would also look great if you could have it as a top with skin (so only having the white bits in Morgana's pictures)

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Wholeheartedly agree with you Psy!

Here's hoping thats just one slipup from the magic booster pack and that there indeed will be options for tights and tights with skin.
  3. AR/Energy can make a nice "non melee" blaster, works well with psi and archery too. Add in flight/hover in the mix tho so you can actually stay at range

    Presence Pool

i tend to use ignite as a dmg boost.
like ignite somewhere enar me -> build up -> full auto.
I seem to recall ignite giving somewhere around 20-30% dmg boost when used.

    Fury

i would prob do option C.

Fury builds the same from a single target power or an aoe. Fury is built on two possibilities. 1: you attack. 2: you get attacked.
Neither of the attacks have to hit for fury to build, the quicker the attacks, the quicker fury builds. Slow hard hitting attacks does not build more fury than a ast low dmg attack. (put brawl or other equivalent power on auto, my energy brute has the two punch quickie on auto, dual blades have nothing on auto, elec/shield doesn't have an attack on auto sadly).

As a brute, i tend to invest in my defenses early, if i can keep going longer, i can maintain high fury for a longer time. Not having to stop between battles does wonders for fury.

Afraid not. You need to create animations for every power individually. Doing so means changing every keyframe so that it not only works, but looks right. This is why Shields took so long.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No, sod 'em. It's going on The List. After I've marched up to NCSoft and called out and defeated Jay in the style of Achilles from the film Troy on the issue of loincloths, Castle is getting the same.

    That i wanna see...

Maybe in the mid to late teans you will see an advantage but I usually find I am running out of stamina if I use to many powers at once so the extra slot can only be a little benefit.

    [/ QUOTE ]
So freeing up an extra power slot can help go towards getting stamina - which can often be a painful 3 powerpicks to get?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Never been for me
Swift at 6, Health at 14, Stamina at 20!
Been pushing away travel powers to the late 20's since over a year back now. The Raptor Pack and Zero-G always last at least into the mid-high 30's.

The biggest advantage i see in this, i actually being able to skip pre-req power you don't want. And odds are now i might actually pick some travels i often don't use.
  8. I'm actually looking forward to the 57 and 60 month vet rewards now , not *too* far off, less then 9 months to 60 months.

Now if they'd only give us a 6th cossie slot for the 45 month reward and i'll be super happy!
  9. Putting a 6th cossie slot for the 45 month reward would be flipping sweet
  10. Oooh, this could prove very intresting

And i spose i will still be playing in october this year, which would be when i should get it
  11. Well, there's already a labcoat in game
  12. Am i (and psy) the only ones who actually look forward to this vet reward?

The only reward which i would deem total rubbish is the 45 month one.
  13. Hmm, so we have Technology and getting Magic next.

Natural is pretty no brainer, it's easy to find "natural" stuff to add.

Science and mutation could be a tad more difficult to make cossie pieces for. Mutation i spose could be some animalistic parts (tho i know Jay hates furries so maybe unlikely), perhaps add some third arm or whatever.
  14. Odd, never had this happen on any of my shield chars and their costumes. The only thing i've noticed is the light reflection on the shields is a bit off as it's usually much darker than in tailor.

Are you using the save/load feature? cause that one is pretty much bugged beyond useage, and could very well cause this issue i could imagine.
  15. the /r works fine for me, never failed. (note that /r is *NOT* the same as hitting backspace) have never needed to add a comma.

Without fail it's always been the last 1-5 letters of the name of the person who has appeared as a tell.

Well the Def/End Recover stats are 1.88% Defence/5% end recovery...

...and the other one is 3% damage/5% damage resistance to all

    [/ QUOTE ]

    2.5% def actually.

They are also nigh impossible to keep alive, cause the buff aura draws *ALOT* of aggro, and they have 10 hitpoints.

The aura is for you only, imagine the aggro it'd cause if it was a team buff. Tankers would prob get outtaunted by it (yes it's that bad. I once hit a guy with three attacks as a scrapper and he would not turn away from pet, after my third hit, he killed off my pet and my 4th killed him).

They're nice to have, but the aggro issue makes em downright a pain in the tushie to keep around (anot not the good pain).
  17. Costume request thread -> http://uk.boards.cityofheroes.com/showfl...e=0&fpart=1

It's quite large, so there's alot of requests
  18. ooooo... Shiiiiiny!

    :3

    *big kitty eyes*
  19. Defense set: Red Fortune gives ranged def.
Melee set: Touch of Death gives melee. Makos give ranged def.
Pbaoe sets: sciroccos give aoe def. obliteration give melee def. multi-strike give melee and aoe.
tohit buff: gaussian gives melee, ranged and aoe def.
universal travel: blessing of zephyr give ranged and aoe def.
resist dmg: aegis give aoe def.
end mod: performance shifter give aoe def.

prob some more, but those i recall ontop of my head.
  20. I'd like access to the auras and capes from level 1. Cause yes, it's kind of annoying having to level to 20/30 to get that look you want.

Granted i pretty much never use auras cause i don't like how they often obscure the costume. But i do have a couple of costume designs where the cape is an integral part of it (aka it looks like [censored] without the cape).
  21. Working as intended. Defense is a little iffy in that sense, cause you're nearly untouchable when you reach softcap for defense (45%).
shields work pretty much the same, except you'll only have 23-25% or so defense, but then the extra hitpoints and resistances shields have is supposed to make up for it. (shields were balances agaisnt super reflexes i think castle said). They're not balanced with parry in mind, or with IOs in mind.
30% defense is quite alot really. Means they have a 20% chance to hit you (one in five). The thing is the higher defense you got the better it generally becomes. 45% defense means they have 5% chance to hit you (one in 20). So bumping Defense from say 0 to 5% will not have as much visually noticeable effect as it does bumping it from 40 to 45% for example.

0% defense means they have a 50% chance to hit you (10 out of 20 hits)
5% defense means they have a 45% chance to hit you (9 out of 20).
40% defense means they have a 10% chance to hit you (2 out of 20)
45% defense means they have 5% chance to hit you (1 out of 20)

So going from 0 to 5% will make you get hit 10% less often. while going from 40 to 45% will make you take half the amount of hits.

With some creative IO slotting you can reach the soft cap on defense with both shields and super reflexes. While my only super reflex char is in her mid 30's and not IO'd out at all, i do have a fully IO'd out shield user who feels pretty gosh darned invincible at times.
  22. *snicker*

I have some story plots laid out, i hope the mission architect will allow me to do em the way i want to. Will see when it comes i spose
  23. Considering how much i spend in icon, this will be a godsend

    five months to icon discount!
  24. Didn't they mentioned that missions that are well done and get high ratings will get unlocks like end xp, salvage drops etc. and ultimately might earn the "developers choise" and then get treated like a normal mission.

Not 100% on that, but i think i read it in some interview.
