  1. The game now is silly easy compared to what i was 4 years ago. When it was normal to get +5 bosses in missions, you got over 5 times as much debt per defeat. The hero side respec wasn't as slow, the waves came at fixed intervals regardless if you had defeated the previous or not. Back then you could actually fail at something.

If you fail now it's mostly due to simple stupidity, or not just paying attention. You don't need expensive IO builds to solo normal game content. Sure some people have built character around the very concept of soloing Giant Monsters and AVs, but thats not something everyone should be able to do. IMO, noone should be able to solo an AV or a GM.

I'd love to see the game become a little tougher in terms of spawns and such. Everything shouldn't be soloable. Next time you know there'll be some suggestion that rikti raids should be soloable, and that hamidon should be soloable.
  2. a three letter word for tushie starting with an A
  3. Yea it's keen. Would also be neato to see normal citizens pull out their minigun-flamethrowers and start blasting you

    Valkyrie Nerf

Also really depends on what char you're doing em on.

Anti-Matter was hard as heck as a shield scrapper, but Positron was silly easy as a elec armor brute.
    (they're essentially the same).

Elec is the best for AoE burst damage, but for damage over time SS beats it with Foot Stomp alone (with Rage active of course).

    [/ QUOTE ]

But with Build up and Shield Charge factored in?
Shield Charge is pretty much a second Lightning Rod.
  6. Sapphic_Neko

    SS and WP

After playing an Elec melee / Shield Brute, i'm not so sure super strngth is the best aoe damage. Lightning Rod and Shield Charge are both awesome on their own, and together it's just crazy.
  7. Aren't Devouring Earth (or at least the devoured) People and heroes/villains who get turned into what they are. I seem to recall some story arc with a fire blaster getting turned into a devoured who used fire powers.
  8. I always turn off the profanity filter cause the game tends to censor some words which i don't feel should be censored. And i'm not terribly offended if someone happens to yell out "f**k" if they get their tushie handed to em on a silver platter by something big and nasty.

I try not to use swear words too often, but when i get [censored] off they may slip out, usually in a stream of diffrent languages. There is something satisfying to swear in Finnish .
I tend to say "Puckernuts" instead of "f**k". (Bonus pints if you know where i got it from!).

    no blinds

I always try make a point to at least reply to tells i get.
    If it's a broken tell i will do a "/r broken tell".
If i am ignoring someone it's prolly cause i actually have that person on ignore (there's like... two plus spammers) or i'm not at keyboard/in icon.

It's an MMO, i like interacting with other players. So i try make an effort to do so when looking for teams or asking people if they have room. Then of course there's day where i'm more or less chatty.

  11. For a whip to look decent, figure you'd need a skeleton of at least 10 joins, preferbly 20+ to make it look good.
Even tho you can copy animations per joint (like to produce a wave in the skeleton is pretty easy to do), i'd seriously dread doing a whip crack animation
  12. Would be a pain in the tushie (no pun intended) to implement, but having a whip ingame would be so cool

Have you got TG slotted for +hp yet?

    [/ QUOTE ]

True Grit? Just one healing SO in it so far.
Just felt it doesn't really do much tbh so not bothered much with it.
  14. Sapphic_Neko

    Mission levels

Naw, it's normal to see +1 in heroic.

I think difficulty goes something like this (i can be totally wrong tho).

Heroic - 0/+1 normal sized groups.
Tenacious - 0/+1 larger sized groups.
Rugged - +1/+2 normal sized groups.
Unyielding - +1/+2 larger sized groups.
Invincible - +2/+3 normal sized groups.

There are of course exceptions, some missions will have various level spans (Atta mission in Hollows is a good example, goes from like -3 to +1 on heroic), some will for example only spawn LTs or only Bosses etc.

Only crab spider have the backpack.

Banes will only have it if they have a crab duel build.

    Aha!

I knew it was something, was half right at least ^^

    Mobile broadband

    5gb should be plenty

As long as you can deal with the latency and disconnects. But perhaps the mobile broadband i tried was utter rubbish (I had 9 out of 10 signal strength and could not stay connected for more then 15 mins at a time).

    VEAT Cossies

Just remember that if you are crab or bane spider, you will have to have the backpack even on normal costumes.
  18. Didn't play as much as i planned. Things kept getting in my way

I did get Sapphic Shock from 26 to 39 which was my goal. Also tried get my widow up some, but then connection cut out for awhile.

I dunno, wasn't as motivated this weekend as i figured i'd be.
  19. Moved some slots around.

Cost? closer to 200 i would guess.
  20. Alright... level 37 now (<3 DXP).
Lightning Rod and Shield charge are both slotted with 2x acc, 3xdmg and 1x recharge SOs. Not gotten any IOs at all yet. But i still managed to wet myself when i used em both at full fury.

I two-shotted +2 LTs and one shotted +2 minions. Bosses were left with a small chunk of health left. It's really brutal, it's like unleashing a 9th tier blaster nuke every minute without any of the drawbacks. I'm loving it

The only thing i have trouble with atm is my defenses. I have around 25% defense, so i'm very squishy. But with some support i managed to stay alive
  21. Well, the first thing i would spend slot on was to improve the endurance drain of that build. 1.77end/sec is a killer, slot some end reds in the toggles and you should get down under 1.00 end/sec.

    As for sets to use.
Obliteration and Sciroccos (and Multi-Strike as cheap alternative) for Pbaoes are nice.
For melee attacks i like Crushing Impact and Makos.
Aegis is nice dmg resist set and red fortune or luck of the gambler for defense sets.
6 slotting focused accuracy with gaussian set gives some nice bonuses too.

While anything that leaks out as this costume piece has is fair game, please remember that decompiling the game files and looking through what you find by doing so is not allowed under the EULA.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Other than people bragging about it on forums, how else are you going to know people do it or not?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Admitting on forum they they looked in the files prob enough for a ban, or a suspension i would guess.

very very hard to predict as it depends entirely how you spend that hour.

Soloing it prob won't be much, teaming and hanging out in city zones it's gonna be alot more. I would guess anywhere from 50-200mb per hour.

    Whats the download limit?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Whilst I don't know the numbers, there's no way is it even remotely close to that number. CoH is designed to be playable on 56k dialup, so there's no way can it be sending and receiving that much data. I doubt it's more than a couple of meg.

    [/ QUOTE ]

*shrug* It's playable on a 56k dial up (i know i've done it), but it caps transfer speed very easy. I was also counting sent and recieved together.

  25. I'm sure the 3% damage it gives will surely tip the scales of battle
