  2. AV killer I'd probably have to say would be any blaster with 45% ranged defense and the ability to generate 150+ dps.

Either one generates high damage, fire does more AoE type damage while Ice is more single target.

Ice would be more suitable for defeating bosses.

Sonic/energy would be your pick for pvp. If you had to choose I would say choose ice.
  3. I usually do it with a spines/da or fire/regeneration scrapper and it is in short bursts. I usually marketeer offline but I was just curious how other marketeers do it.
  4. Which would be the most efficient way to obtain them?

Running MA missions farming for tickets and selling the resultant enhancements from Bronze Rolls?

Running regular missions all the time to increase my chances of them dropping?
  5. I made a few changes.

Slotted a Karma: Knock back protection and a Luck of the Gamblerefense/Increased Recharge enhancements into combat jumping.

Slotted Blessing of the Zephyr:Travel/End and Knock back protection into super jump and gave you a little ranged defense.

Slotted Numina's Convalescence: Heal and Regenerative Tissue into health to give you more regeneration.

Three slotted Conserve power for recharge although you probably won't need to do that as it's over kill.

Six slotted Personal Force Field with 5 Red Fortune and a Luck of the Gambler: Defense/Increased Recharge for more defense and recharge and a small damage bonus.

Four slotted Temporary Invulnerability with Aegis: Resistance/Endurance and Resistance and Stead Fast Protection: Resistance/Endurance and Knock back protection for a small recovery bonus.

Six slotted Force of Nature with 5 Impervious Skin for more recharge and a Titanium Coating: Resistance/Recharge.

    Good luck!

What about a Practiced Brawler with stats equivalent to the controller APP version of Indomitable Will?

P.S. Villains need APPs even more than Scrappers. Suggesting APPs is not a competitive activity, though -- the more APP ideas there are out there, the easier it is to create and balance even more APPs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Villians have PPPs

And Scrappers NEED more APP, having three pools to choose from sucks.
  9. Shhh you've said to much! Now they know our plan!
  10. I like defense and recharge, defense allows you to regenerate when they can't hit you and when they do hit you your powers recharge quick enough to handle the constant flow of damage.
  11. I'd say Spines/Dark but I'm biased.
  12. This is too over powered a defensive set would have to be much more toned down. Defense is worth more then resistance for in game mechanics so you'd likely have to half all of those numbers.

    The Challenge...

The only thing I changed in Umbra's build was to switch Mind Probe for TK Thrust

As far as endurance concerns with /DA, it can't be said enough: Get the Theft of Essense: Chance for +End Proc for Dark Regen.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Interesting idea - I should try this with my Spines/Dark. Right now I have conserve power on autofire but this could free up a power slot if it works as described. Cool, thanks.

Agree with all the other comments....

    [/ QUOTE ]

It is wonderful to have that in Dark Regeneration, but it is expensive to the common player.

    [/ QUOTE ]

At only a 20% chance for +10% End it's not worth it, there is better, cheaper bang for the buck to be had,

Five Doctored wounds and the Armageddon proc for example

    [/ QUOTE ]

It definitely is worth it if you can afford it. With 3 minions near you it nearly cuts the cost of dark regeneration in half.
  16. Very few times do I get held by +1 or 2 enemies, it's usually when I am fighting +3 or rarely +4 enemies I really get hit with holds.

  18. I'd say if you're starting from L1 roll a Sonic/Energy and look at the numbers as to why.
  19. I strongly dislike teaming with storm, energy, and peace bringers due to their knock back.
  20. I am always evolving my characters always trying to maximize their abilities.

This time it is with my fire/regeneration scrapper. I am trying to maximize recharge, defense, hit points, passive regeneration, and damage in that order.

Here is my next evolution for WiFry please pick it a part and show me where I can improve.

Also for this amount of recharge what attack chain should I use? I am currently using with Hasten activated:
Build up > GFS > Incinerate > Cremate > Fire Sword and without Hasten it is the same but with Scorch added on to it. I am trying to maximize my DPS.

    Shield or SR?

I'd say go SR if you want to be really tough, if you want to sacrifice some of that toughness for extra damage and an AoE attack go with shields.
  22. Shields is the Flavor of the Month and rightfully so, it adds a lot of utility to any primary. +dmg and a really nice AoE attack.

SR pared with DM is a demigod able to solo most content in the game. Okay maybe I'm exaggerating alittle but it is a very good combination. What it lacks vs shield it brings a huge 95% defense debuff resistance which is huge. It also adds some +recharge and recharge and slow resistance. It is a late bloomer of a set but can easily be soft capped with SOs and a stead fast protection +3% defense.

  24. Sonic/Energy due to it's animations it does more damage then fire or ice.
