Wow..shocker. Unpleasant. Tummy hurts kinda loss.
My alts and I wish you all of the best. You and your Moderation expertise will be greatly missed. If T.R turns sour, please come back. And yeah.... I hope they let you keep the CuppaJo mantle. See you at the Party, I hope. -

They can make it a more reasonable requirement for sure, but I just hope they make a new reward for those of us who took a "shortcut" to go above and beyond what some people are willing to do. Regardless if it's a shortcut or not, it's still something I did and someone else didn't. If they do change the requirement to a lesser badge, then I hope they have some sort of compensation in mind. Otherwise spending all that time having to set up missions and trying to find enemies that won't kill me will be in vain, as the 100mil badge is pretty much useless by itself.
[/ QUOTE ]
So basically, you want to be compensated for letting the game run while you were sleeping and working? Am I reading your previous post wrong? Didn't you say you were AFK farming for 3 weeks? How the heck is that going above and beyond anything? That's pretty funny. -

Also I'd like to request that the upgrade icons not be tagged "auto" powers and not be hidden when you select that option. Henchmen die frequently enough that you want to be able to see who needs upgrades in the middle of a fight without having to change your display options.

Agreed.

What would be nice is a color-coded status bar when the health is full so you know who needs the upgrade and who does not. But then again, if a pet gets wounded, to say half health right after you summon it, that would cause the bar to turn yellow it would get in the way of knowing again. Or maybe a Font size-change would help a little. Small Fonted name when not Upgraded.... larger Fonted name when Upgraded. -
Just like Soul Taker is a requirement for too many Accolades, this ridiculous requirement just needs to be taken right out of the Accolades listing and replaced with something people don't have to farm.

If this is just a silly thought, fine. But I too can tell a difference between 4 and 5 slots in Stamina. Say it's imaginary if you want. I'll remain skeptic.

i promise you, it's 100% a placebo effect.
with 4slotted stamina, you recover 149.75 end per minute.
with 5slotted stamina, you recover 151.25 end per minute.
You're talking about noticing 1.5 points of endurance over a 60s time period. No way.
as an aside. if you threw that slot in an attack that you use alot, you'd be saving probably more like 10 to 15 end per minute. That is noticeable.
[/ QUOTE ]
I can accept that. I've successfully fooled myself before. I guess it can happen. -
[ QUOTE ]
148.725% versus 152.5% recovery is only 3.7 end per minute. You're telling me 3 end makes that much of a difference? I think it's all in your head.
[/ QUOTE ]
Is it? Or is there something to it?This is kind of something that I wanted to mention or ask but never remember too. There's so much that people argue about with this topic, I never wanted to stick a nose in it.
Sappers. I hate them with a passion. But I don't always get ALL of my endurance drained by them where I see even the multi-defensed Brutes and Stalkers do and that drops their toggles. Could it be that Sappers are set to drain just enough for what perhaps a 4 slotted Stamina would be and since I have mine 5 slotted I don't get completely drained. I'm talking Corrutpor here when I say Me. That's the character I'm referring to. If this is just a silly thought, fine. But I too can tell a difference between 4 and 5 slots in Stamina. Say it's imaginary if you want. I'll remain skeptic. -

I don't know why, but after i7 went live I had a dream that I was being chased by a vicious dog. I ran into a wall and had nowhere to run. Just then I realized I had some 'shiny' objects in my pocket. I tossed them to the side, the dog was tempoarily distracted and I got away.
I'll let all you arm-chair psychologists have your fun with my dream now.

Actually... It'd make sense if you were a Dev and had this dream. -
I'm pretty good at turning on my " Looking for Team" tab. This is the thing; try doing a search for all people lfg. You won't find but maybe one or two. The most I ever found at one time is three. Now Choose ALL and there everyone is. Read their message and some say everything from " Eat worms and die" to "I Heal, call me!". About a month ago I started randomly asking people if they checked the box. A lot of people said that they did. They showed up under their own search as looking for team. Funny though, because I don't show up on my own search for lfg. I do, however, when I do a search for specified player level. I do a search for team leaders when I dc and cannot remember how to spell their character name. Can only rarely find them anymore. Oh, they are there. But the system doesn't show them as being in a group and in mission. So to overcome this now I make it a point to put the leader on my Friends list in case of a dc so I can send a tell just as soon as I log back in. I stood in St. Martin and did a search for all players in St. Martin. The computer said there was 12. 4 were on the mission I had just been invited to. 5 were standing as a group at the Ferry. I SJ'd over a group of 4 fighting wailers just off shore from the base surrounding the ferry. And 5 more surrounding the Science Quartermaster. I did another search, thinking that perhaps more had logged in since I did a search at the Ferry. No one had. The count still said 12 in the listing. I had just seen 18 people in the time it took me to get from the Ferry to the Store. I really don't think that there are too many people who run around late at night with /hide running.
In case anyone was wondering, I was originally doing a search for a friend who was supposed to be logging in about the same time that I had joined the team. I was going to invite her while the team finished the little bit left of the mission they had left. Since I wasn't going to get a mission bonus, I just said I'd wait outside so they didn't have to hold up on my account. -
I don't do PvP very much either, however I had a blast. I was a little put off with all the Spine Scrappers. Ya get tired of getting immoblized, dying, hospital, immobilize, hospital, dying....blah blah blah. I made about 8 different characters and believe it ornot themost fun I had was with a Mind/Psionic Dominator and an Energy/Thermal Corruptor. There was one Tank, Frank Beard is what I think his name was... we kept putting Fear on each other at the same time and laughing about it. Of course if I came out of it first I couldn't keep him down where he would just take me out in two shots. There Corruptor didn't even have any Mez protection. I'm wondering if extra Running Speeds for SS doesn't give you extra protection or something because out of all the characters I created, he got HELD and died the least.

I was just noticing this last night. There are contacts right inside of City Hall who sell inspirations but I don't have any contacts close by who sell them in Grandville.

I don't know what the numbers on Dominators pets are - but controller pets have an accuracy of 300%. That is why sings can hold or hit almost anything in sight, and fire imps destroy all they go after. Wouldn't it only seem right that Mass Confusion have the same numbers on it? And that the recharge time is cut to that of what a summoned pet is now? It actually should be faster, since it doesn't stay around and do it's thing until someone spends enough time to kill it. And it should be breakfree resistant - taking four breakfrees to break it. As it is, Mass Confusion has no purpose or use in pvp, as it doesn't hit, takes too long to recharge and if it does hit is negated by the popping of one breakfree. It's Mind Controls signature power and probably the most useless power in the set from a pvp standpoint - and pve standpoint if you ask me, as other players usually just run it and kill all the confused ones anyway.
And Dominators do need some sort of damage help. The other night I was running a Dobbs mission alone on Malicious - I am level 41 - and I got to a red Super Arachnoid and while I could hold him - even with domination running - I could not do any damage at all! I am saying his health bar did not move - ever! I was firing off every attack and hold I had and even bile spray - nothing!!!! At level 41 even a Dominator should be able to run a mission on Malicious and be able to finish it. As it was I had to run for my life, reset back to villianous, reset the mission and run it that way. That is just sad.

Has anyone checked the Scrappers? I have yet to hit one. 12 misses my first day out with dbl acc.'s in my attacks and no hits at all on a Scrappmeister. Everything ELUDED! At least it would be balanced. But I gotta say, not even a PP in MoG mode got off that much.
-
solution to this: level bump for Villains at some point to level 50. Those extra 15 slots could prove to help a lot. I can't really think of a way that it could just stick to PvP and not the rest of the game. But that has to be part of the imbalance problem. Through some hami's in there for a little more imbalance and you arrive at where we are today. JMO.

My understanding was that dominators already had mini-containment. Do they not have X2 base damage on held foes in pvp and pve?
[/ QUOTE ]
<Shakes head emphatically.>
No Containment. No mini-containment. They do not do 2 X base damage in PvE and PvP. -
But in order to get any xp, you have to first hit the dang thing at least once. If THEY are not dead when the whammie wears off they'll come after your hide. I just don't like people calling them pets, that's all. They aren't pets. You don't summon them at will. You have to hit to affect them.

The unrechargeable 4/15 pet is very debateable on coolness. Being a Grav, the last thing I really need is a 27% of the time pet.

Being mind/psi, all my pets are 27% of the time pets.

true, but you can have a mob turn on itself, having several "pets" at a time.
[/ QUOTE ]
Ya. Those would be the pets you don't get any xp benefit from and who are uncontrollable. Wow. You can have my share. -
Ahhh... base campers. The cause of me quitting Rv last night. That and the fact that no villains wanted to team. That always helps a Corruptor (Sonic/Rad) live a long life in this PvP zone (sarcasm). I respec'd with whatever I could for survival. My Corruptor got equipped with Tough, Weave, Acrobatics, Stealth, and Combat Jump (4 slotted)up and running. I didn't have room for any Leadership pool, but I don't think that would have helped even if I had had it. What happens time after time after time? Tp'd, ganked and toggles dropped in 4-5 hits, and dead. I had Double Accuracy enhancement in every attack that I could afford after trying to protect myself as well as I could. I rarely even had the chance to debuff anyone before I was taken out.
I'm not whining here...just frustrated. I'm not the most experienced PvP-er out there, but considering the fact that the game is so geared toward it I realize that it is necessary to learn the ways of the "Force", so to speak. The villains, for one reason or another, don't seem to want to team up. Way too many Heroes camp out the Villain base. And being an experienced player in PvE isn't helping me in the least to survive in this zone. Other PvP zones I can survive in with almost any character except my Dominator. But that is possibly due to lack of time that I spend there with him. I dunno.
I try a little hit and run tactic... I think I am immediately put on FOLLOW because the next thing I know, a whole team is on me when just a second before there was only one person.
I have been spending at least an hour every night in this zone. The only AT that I have had success with is my Brute. Is it because Heroes got Hami's? If so... negate them for the duration of testing. I repeat... FOR TESTING... before you go all Xena on my [censored] for suggesting it. Villains don't get an equivalent enhancement and by the looks of it they won't be getting one unless I have missed a Topic thread somewhere that says we will.
I've gone in late enough at night as well, when it is possible to sidestep the tp's to gankville. The temporal anchors wipe me out before I can even jump away. These are the yellow con ones, not the purple level 54's that I have seen.
Again, I'm not whining. I'm frustrated. My Heroes do fine here. Surviveability is good for them. My villains... no way. My Corruptor, after at least an hour for the last three nights of having him there, has never gotten one kill. Not a single win. I've been a good sport. I don't complain in chat. I go back over and over and try to learn from my mistakes with my Villains. But time and time again it is my defeat. Only once, when I had three Blasters on me, did I ever feel like I had done something right. They missed over and over until a Spines Scrapper stepped in and detoggled me and Immobilized me with one hit. I was out in an instant.
What is a Corruptor to do? I'd gladly take any advice. Where once I hated PvP, I am undertaking this as a challenge because I see where the fun can be had.My Brute can survive fine. I played a friends' level 41 NB/Ninj stalker since mine is still level 25. That AT didn't last long either.
eDit: forgot a word. -
This is the cutest idea I've read in a while. I think it would be grand fun. And for anyone worried that someone might hide it, after 5 minutes of non-use ( or any specific amount of time really) it could be set to just respawn upon a specific location. I think this would be better than giving someone possession of it. I totally had this picture of a balloon people at weddings and stuff always bat around just to keep it going until it pops. I'd like to see NPC's chasing after it. That would be funny.
kudos to you for a great, fun idea. -
I am totally loving this AT and I'm not even a gun-totting fan at all beyond action movies. True, the sounds could get a little umf! but they are not bad. They're just a little on the weak side.
I like the looks of the upgrades from t-shirt to tank top/ tattoo combo. The enforcer jacket is cool too. Kind of freaked me out since it was the same jacket and jacket color that I had outfitted my MM with. Kind of gave me the idea that perhaps if you create a female Thug MM then you might offer female Pets. I know other setslike Merc's, Zombies, and Ninja's don't have that but it would fit this particular AT a little better than the others. An all chick gang... I kind of like that idea.
I particularly like that the Enforcer has the Leadership pool. I was a little disappointed that it did not affect my character, but that is fair.
I noticed that many people have claimed that their Punks could take Aggo from +4 mobs and survive. My experience is a little different. I skipped a lot of the missions in Port Oakes and skipped on ahead to Cap Au Diable because I have done all the missions in Port Oakes like a zillion times already. Instead, I did a lot of street hunting with this AT. It was fun and brought a little more RPing for me to this AT. I don't usually get into that. Anyway, I think I levelled just as quickly street hunting as I would have had I done the P.O missions. Anything +4 whomped me, my punks and my Enforcer.
The thugs seems a little slower following me than the other MM pets. Ninja's and Merc's always seem to move faster. Zombies were the slowest in my opinion. But these guys would be in the Zig in a heartbeat the speed they run now.
I have read a lot of "this is stupid" and other such comments, and I can agree to some extent with some of the criticisms. But the one I disagree with the most is the whistle. I like it. A simple snap of the fingers is too simple. The cell phone idea is a little too much like the Merc's walkie-talkie's. As it is now I don't really care for the 1st half of the upgrading by tossing out a clip. That is all Merc. I'd like to see something more like maybe an altered Hasten affect which changes them maybe following a snap of the fingers. I like the manhole thing, but I really, really liked the previously suggestion of upgrading by having someone bigger and tougher come up and knock out the first Enforcer. Don't get me wrong. I like the manhole ( Ya so rarely get to use that word... manhole ) animation. It's a tad on the slow side. Maybe the exiting animation from a sub or sewer mission animation - having them jump out of instead of into the manhole - would make it a little quicker.
Thanks for no pause after summoning the pets before you can upgrade them. The Necro summoning animations have such a long pause. -
Since I opted out of my Brute having Taunt, I am just glad to have a ranged attack to pull a little with. The first Lightning attack, even with one Acc. Enh., with no Fury running does ( I think) 34 dmg. and with full Fury does in the 90's. This is at level 41. Plus the attack gives me back a little endurance so I won't pre-judge as much as I would have upon intially reading the descriptions except to say that the whole 4 minute pet retention... I'll be skipping that. I'm not wasting slots on something I can have maybe twice inside of 15 minutes. I'd rather take Conserve Power...lol.
-
The immense zone is awesome to behold. Very impressive.
Now on the testing side, I had 2 missions tonight where I had to prevent someone from escaping. Both times I had them held in Midnight Grasp and the mission booted me and failed. I bugged it, but thought it was worth mentioning.
Also, there is a hole in the ledge up on the tallest tower, toward the top yet not quite at the top. You'll fall into the metal ledge and see out the bottom. Also bugged. -

This was really fun, though Lord Recluse and his gang put Tyrant and his boys to shame. (looked at Recluses HP and saw it was tilting over 70k) o_O There was atleast 10 people wailing on them and didn't dent them very much till someone debuffed the AV
for those of you complaining about lag, did you try to turn your graphics down to minimum? that helped me out a lot. Then again, this is a higher performance computer.

thanks for reminding me, Paul. Since I got my new computer a couple of months back, I never once have thought of taking it off the highest settings. After upgrading from a Nvidia 5200... this overclocked 6800gs is daylight to the previous night. I'll try it again tonight. -
It's getting cold in here...
