  1. Mirror, Mirror on the wall... who's most reflective of them all?

Gaze into the looking glass and tell me what you see... is that you, or is that me?
Shall we live or shall we die, is the life we're living a magical lie?
Who can I trust? Only me, myself and I...

Sounds like a fun time... Thanks P.E.R.C....
  2. I know several in-game that run on Toshiba's/Satellite Series... myself included.

I play the game almost exlusive on the laptop. The graphics are decent, the sound is great for me, as I usually run with a head set if/when I have sounds on at all, but still decent Dolby sound... I even run wireless 99.9% of the time... (and wonders why the zone loads can my a wee bit slow )...

I use a cooling pad/fan under it (Vista and LT batteries are well known to get warm... I miss my windows XP actually)... I also benefit from running wireless keyboard and mouse...

As far as suggestions... the specs constantly change but the newer is not always the better and if you are on a budget, you can get a decent LT to play the game at decent levels of graphics...

Micro Center is a GREAT place to shop IMHO and they offer a clearance section, refurbs (with warranty and accessable/viewable on the website) and decent prices on the new stuff as well and they typically offer FREE SHIPPING/insurance. There are only a handfull of locations across the US but their website is world wide...

NewEgg is another decent site to start your shopping experience... I seldom shop there, but when I do the prices for what I am looking for are always very compatable.

    Good Luck...

I also like the scout but not ghost method. One of the teams I was on, we voted and stealthers won mainly because the people who would have benefited from the XP said they didn't care one way or the other.

I certainly understand why level 50's exempted down prefer ghosting (the whole time/merit calculation) and people who are short on time would also prefer it, but I don't understand why someone who is still earning XP would.

Teams of 7 or 8 are harder to set at the moment and the chance to be on a team that is going to see plenty of combat, get merits and get a badge seems like a pretty good deal to me. But if the people that would benefit from the XP won't vote for it, they doesn't seem to be much reason to argue against the ghosters.

I use this method for my NSTF events and it seems a fair compromise to me. I also tell everyone before we start exactly what the deal is so they can decide if that works for them. I would rather have a smaller team then one where people aren't having a good time or feel frustrated by the style of game play that is being pursued.
I agree with the whole thing... and I am one of the ones that did not care either way... I was neither concerned for the XP I was earning, or the time it took to complete the mission...

I am not a SPEED player by any means... I don't have the computer for it and RL situations, especially after an hour of so of game time are more important to me. I for one usually wont 'sign up' for a speed run of any type knowing that I would slow the team down and really not my style of game play... But going at a good pace and keeping focused on the objective while knowing RL situations will surface and many players want the enjoyment of playing the game as it is and not the 'numbers' game of risk/reward/merit/time... not that I dislike getting better stuff at a quicker pace...

I'd rather have time to chat with my team-mates and get to know the players and other play styles... But ghosting some 'objective' missions helps with time for RL... not trying to beat the clock for me.
  4. Wow!!!...

Great photo of the many great heroes of Liberty...

Who is that incredibly handsome Dragon next to you GEL?... Opps, that's me!
  5. Ok...

So, it's time to get this all started... Of course we're all in this together... so by this time tomorrow I will head over to the SHForums and see if we can't get something going...

Liberty has so much to offer that I am sure with the GREAT minds that encompass this forum and the game itself, the LRT is sure to enhance the game-play of new members and vetern members of the Liberty Server family...

I look forward to being a member (or simply a passive voice), in any standing... assisting my fellow Liberty SG's...
  6. If no family concerns here and I remember... I'll plan on the 2nd respec and maybe the 3rd on another toon... Can't recall how long it's been since I did the 3rd one, or for that matter... the 2nd... lol
  7. Thanks for letting me tag along and work on tanking skills...

Had a blast and thankfully Cow Killer Wasp was there for the higher lvl TF's... those went a little too fast for me to have tanked those effectively...

Thanks again for the invite!... Had a blast and got through all 6 TF's for the TFC!
  8. Of course... NSTF fits me well... I'm old and slow...

I figure I'll be running Shield Of Strength SH/SS Tank
  9. I'll be in for a few runs Friday and Saturday... been wanting to get TFC on my new tank but have been avoiding the TF's as I've not had the time (or confidence in the toon... lol)

But, guess there is no good time... ummmm I mean, sounds like a good time

    Liberty Picture!

Looks as if I will be able to make it to the PHOTO OPPORTUNITY and the Posi TF... w00t... I am taking the night off work!
  11. I look into the Dream Weaverz Orb of Power and determine the date shall be...

A day into the future from now that ends in a Y... the year the orb projects is 2010... however, as much else gives a fog... much like the Fog of War... the exact day and date is impossible to determine....

The better question is... ummm... I forgot the question
  12. Not sure what is going on here at home over the weekend... But certainly if I can get online to participate I'd be more than happy to assist...

Thanks Matt for taking time to organize this for us!
  13. Hey, I'm all for a way to help make Liberty better... Been here on this account since 2005 and on my previous account since the game came out... though I am guilty of often taking time off in the past and not always paying the fee... lol...

Anything I can do to assist or help would be fine with me... my time is typically limited to an hour or so in the later part of the evenings during the week (10ish Eastern Time) and a little more flexible on Saturaday afternoons or Sunday...

I'm sure the 'Round Table' will represent the server well... Just unclear as to what a 'Round Table' will focus on that the current avenues such as PERC and other larger groups of folks have not already established in the way of events and such... But hey, if it works to Liberty's advantage... You have my vote (if I actually had a vote to cast )

    Dr Vahzilok

    Possibly more important...

Is that super powered deodorant a spray-on or a GEL?

    Sorry... poorly done pun!

    Greetings!

The "Peacekeepers of Paragon" SG is looking for new members to join our prestigous band of heroes!

The theme of the SG is roughly based on the Paragon Police Department, all divisions. We have regular cops, psi-division folks, dual pistoliers, unleashed (Kheldians), SWAT-type characters, detectives, you name it! Although our theme is based on the PPD, any and all character ATs and styles are more than welcome to join!

The Peacekeepers are a casual SG on Liberty Server, with no mandates to join or play other than to be in SG mode up to level 25. Promotions within the SG are relatively easy and allows you access to the multiple storage bins for salvage, inspirations and enhancements.

Our website has pages and links to SG Events, SG history, a 'who's who' page of members, a calendar of events and a fantastic photo gallery!

Our base is fairly large, has teleporters to all zones, salvage, enhancments and inspriation storage, vault, invention table and empowerment stations. Flashback "Pillar of Fire and Ice" and a Medical Bay with an AUto Doc and Robo Surgery also make up our base's growing list of features!

Most of the SG's members are usually from the US east coast, and play weekday evenings and most of the weekend time.

With immediate access to coalition chat, you can find teams easily amongst the numerous SGs in our coalition.

We'd love to have you be a fellow "Peacekeeper" patrolling and teaming throughout Paragon City! To join, or get additional information, reply to this thread, visit our website or send an ingame email or tell to (global) @Major Deej.

See you in game fellow Peacekeepers!

Hey Deej... glad to see things growing at the PoP SG... I hated to see it go from the DW group but glad to still have PoP as one of our Coalies... The base looks great and I see you continue to make many great improvements...

Give us a shout in Coalie for team stuff!...
  16. There are many great SG's out there and I know this is a well beat path and thread... but maybe we can all plan an EVENT DAY with as many SG's as we can gather... What I am thinking is a day planned in AP where we all open our doors to our SG's for others to tour, ask questions and even join if they wish...

Have an SG day where members of different SG's team together solely to get to know one another again... I know many great people and toons in this game and seldom have the pleasure of teaming with many of them...

This should not be considered a recruiting tool, but we all seem to have certain groups we all team with on a regular basis... maybe it's time we break that habit (guilty as charged) and seek other venues???

DW SG/VG at one point dropped into the top 100 on Liberty but the focus of the SG was never to be the biggest, but to offer teaming opportunities and group functions... Tho we have faultered and gained at the same time, we remain a smaller group that has everything to offer... (shameless plug)

Now, with i17 and GR soon to be released we all know the streets will soon be swarming with new characters and people new to the game... it would be GREAT if they got introduced to the spirit of LIBERTY... where we all believe we are the best server and certainly the most united of all the servers...

So, I propose a SG event day and teaming day where all the SG's form teams, be heroic and help each other out... No more than two members of an SG on the same team... with each SG team member getting a mission or arc and leading through... heck even doing TF's as a team...

Again, there are so many great SG's out there and so many never get to experience them unless invited to that SG... Why don't we open our doors for a day, get more coalitions going and do a SG event day together???

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated as I ramble-on here!...
  17. So, as I am searching the forums and passing time I come upon this thread... Of course, leave it to me to jump right in (I'm usually the silent one... hehe)...

Being a hero is a state of mind...
I can't count the hours spent in The Hollows before the changes there that I spent on an empathy defender healing lowbies... (I already had my heal badges, but that is a community way to help with your own badges too...) and not forgetting the number of times I joined teams just to TP them through this zone to their missions and back to the gate as needed.

With the changes to the zone, it's not as bad as it used to be... but I am sure I could find someone to assist when I fly over

So, what do we as heroes decide to do??? Instead of planning TF's and other team based functions... why don't we all team up and instead of seeking XP and INF... why don't we sweep the zones and HELP others as best we can? I can see the benefit of higher level toons sweeping in to 'save the day' of a new character to the game...

What about the HELP channel? I for one seldom see it used and could probably monitor it better or more often... Maybe we just need to look harder to do the right things...

That's my two cents... I'd be in for a team that does nothing other than flying/jumping/TPing through zones to assist others...

Green Eyed Lady's uber tank Grace Green gave Sisterhood a class in tanking. You can find it on our website in the University of Sisterhood section. Tanking 101 by Grace Green

CA... I looked through the site but could not find the section... I found TUSH but the link took me back to the SH Shop...

I'll certainly check it out as soon as the page becomes available...

I need to work on our website as well... I've been so very lax in my duties of the SG/VG... Our site has not been updated in many months

GEL... It would be an honor and a pleasure... Some day soon the boss promises to hire a new person for my office to work nights... but we see that has not happened and being the salaried manager I get the overload

BLAH!!!!!!... I seldom get home from work before 9:30pm EST(EDT) and with working 13 hour days it's hard to find a team I can get on for a short time before I have to head to bed for another long day...

Been playing my newish tank lately (I suck as a tank, but trying to get better before a team risks its life on me... hehe)... so playing solo or with a friend or two mostly (they love me even when they die)...

I'd love to get on a team that I can 'try' to tank for but seriously, been afraid of the demands to 'tank well' on teams that have no patience...

Learning that tanking really is more of an art than a arch type... KUDOS to all the really good tankers out there...

If I can join later in the fight for a short bit I'd love to get in on any action out there... (basically solo lvl 1-36 so far)... did I mention I might suck as a tank?

If you have patience and willing to help this aged vet get better (gawd, I love my trollers and emp's) at tanking... hey... give me a shout...

Either way, have fun and be safe...
  21. Bump It Up Baby!!!!

Hope all have been well... I have been away from the game a bit but have hopes I will be having more time to get online and play... RL and the need to actually work for a living is killing my play time

Tax... The site is looking great and you continue to bring more and better information portals to the game/server... Thank You!

When you get time, please update our contact info for DreamWeaverz and DreamWreckerz... I hope to get the SG/VG back up and running to our past glories...

Be safe all... well, unless I see you in a PVP.
  22. Hey,

Hope all is well... The calendar seems to be going strong with lots of stuff on the horizon for Liberty players to get involved in...

  23. Thanks Matt...

If available we'll be regrouping Coalitions very soon...(Save DW a spot )

We've got 4 new leaders helping our with the 3 groups now which takes a HUGE abount off my shoulders and they are really picking up the pace to getting us back on track!

How's things there at home?.. Better I hope and I think it's beer time at BW's...

Also one last question whats an AE? Is it a place u can make custom areas for mob killing and things? I have been in one with a Team but never understood what i was doing in it lol was my first night.

First off... Welcome to City Of...

A good place to look for anything Co'X' related is www.paragonwiki.com

AE.. or Architect Entertainment is a recent add to the game... Ae and MA (Mission Architect) are both very popular... some for good reasons, some for not so good.

AE is the area where you can play player created content. Again, I will not discuss some of its merits, or lack thereof.
MA is the area where you can create your own missions... to be played by yourself and others.

You'll get mixed answers regarding AE/MA... If you use this you'll miss all tutorials and contacts/content of the game. Co'X' offers little 'end game' and is level max'd at lvl 50. The Dev Team set in place long ago that the passage to lvl 50 is casual and is a journey, not a destination. However, AE/MA does allow your lvl progression to go faster in some respects, but again what you gain in levels, you miss in content.

    Hope this helps!
  25. Maybe I'll 'hop' right over and enjoy...
