    It's called communication. It's not one button; you have to use a whole bunch of keys to type a message carrying your intent. Something like this:

    "Area knockback is making it hard on the melee characters. Will players with area knockback please limit or control it better? Single-target knockback, as always, isn't a problem. And will melee characters please control thier targeting and movement better, so as not to cause team wipes? Thanks!"

    See, a lot more keystrokes. But you can set it up as a bind if you encounter the situation frequently.
  2. My experiences suggest that it's not Invulnerability Tanks that have this problem, it's your Invulnerability Tank.

    There's a reward merit cap? What is it? I just looked in the wiki under "Merit Rewards" and "Reward Merits" and didn't see any reference to it that I recognize.

    Werner published in the Scrapper forums recently (he got it from someone else, I'm not sure who should get the credit).

    A couple of points:
    • That's a rough estimate; it might be distributed quite differently if you were farming groups with specific damage types
    • That 2.04% Psi includes normal psi attacks that are affected by positional defense along with the rare mind control powers that do not have positional components. So the "leftover" positional defense of a soft-capped typed defense build will help against much of that.
    • Dull Pain can help ease you through some hard hits in Psi missions (admittedly, it's less useful if you're farming great masses of Psi enemies)

    So if I understand it, you're saying Dan Rather is unaligned? Or at least variable?

    Correct as far as I know -- I never encountered the sound looping bug, or at least never noticed it, and I have played a character with Invincibility rather heavily the past few months. I'm still not noticing it, so either it's fixed or I'm the wrong guy to ask.

    I am getting the disappearing visual effect issue. In the costume creator power customization screen, there's a hesitation, the effect appears briefly, and then it vanishes. In normal play, I just don't see the "rays emanating from my torso" effect of Inv at all.

    Say...while we've got him here, can anyone tell us if Spines power customization color is savable yet? It's been a while since I last tried, but as of the launch night of power customization, the game won't even create a save file name for spines, and they revert to a different color (red in my case, don't know if it's random) every time I exit the creator and re-enter.

    I like, and recommend, ranged Shot (the snipe). But my Blaster doesn't "single out a troublesome boss or lts. and kill it with the snipe." At least, not without cycling a bunch of other attacks. And you're killing bosses with the Defender-strength snipe? Is this by using Fulcrum Shift?

    Well, I don't remember exactly, but things like "character name," "character," "new character," "naming conventions," and so on.

    In general, I find searching any wiki (it's not just you) to be much less forgiving of typos and the choice of highly specific terms than, say Google. But that's probably a reflection on the quality of Google's algorithm and not on wiki editors' dedication.

    Yeah, Scrapper and Tanker Shield Charge was adjusted for AT modifiers, which meant a small buff to the Tanker version and a big buff to the Scrapper version.

    For the record, Kismet give "to-hit buff" which is different from, and somewhat better than, the global accuracy buff set bonuses give. But you should be swimming in buffs anyway with Rage and Invincibility and global acc bonuses from sets.
  19. One way I torture myself is by spending idle moments during the working day thinking up good character names, then scribbling them down and waiting to see if they're available when I get home.

    I thought I understood the naming conventions for hyphens and spaces -- only one -- but recently I believe I've seen characters in game with more than one space in their names (example: Red Riding Hood, two spaces). So now I'm confused.

    Are there known limits? I tried looking in the wiki, but couldn't find this.

    What about one hyphen and one space? (The) Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo?

    What about multiple hyphens? Civil-War-Reenactor Man?

    Period, space, and hyphen: Mr. Yin-Yang?

    Multiple periods? Could I make a character called Hold Still...?

    I've /bugged this twice. Your description matches my experience exactly (I'll add that "bright" invincibility is equally not visible).

    Presumably they know about it now and we shouldn't harass them, but it's been over a month and several patches haven't mentioned it (and your post is the first mention I could find). I don't want to pester, but I don't want to be so quiet no one notices. It sure would be nice to know if this is one of those bugs people are unaware of (and it would be useful to keep trying to bring it to their attention) or a "known issue."

    Oh no, my long comment was indeed directed at the thread topic (for once!). And I agree with you that non-softcapped Invuln is pretty tough; mine has done well on low-level TFs without his set bonuses. It's a pretty good set.
