Here's one to try out for Conserve Power replacement:
Efficiency - Auto, Self +Rech, +END Discount, +Move Speed, RES (END Drain, Slow)
20% END Discount
10% +Recharge
35% +Run/Fly Speed
40% Run/Fly/Jump/Recharge Speed Debuff Resist
50% END Drain Resist
It's basically Lightning Reflexes/Quickness with a proportionate END Discount value to if one was spamming CP and some END Drain RES for good measure. -
Pssh... let's go cracky. Nemesis/Requiem FTW!
All aboard the USS Brass Tentacle!

Quote:Stalkers do not get Quick Recovery-esque powers. I dunno why, but it's clear they don't. As Stalkers get EA as well, that kinda shoots this one down. Which sucks since it's a kinda good idea.Quick Channeler: (Auto) Either a Quick Recovery or a Quickness/Lightning Reflexes clone, possibly half of both.
Quote:Redirect: (Toggle) 10% of the pre-mitigated damage from any Energy or Negative Energy attack that hits you will be released in a short radius PBAOE shockwave that damages nearby foes.
Quote:Power Up: (Click) Do 20% extra Energy-type damage on every attack for 20 seconds, followed by 10 seconds of reduced Energy and Negative Energy resistance.
Quote:Burst of Power: (Click when defeated) Explode with power as you bring yourself back from unconsciousness, doing medium damage and massive knockback on all nearby foes. Restores 50% of HP and endurance, no invulnerability (unlike Rise of the Phoenix), leaves you substantially fatigued for 30 seconds after 60 seconds.
But all of these neglect to take the cottage rule into account. Any changes to Conserve Power MUST retain some level of END Discount in its effects. -
Soon
As for what would replace Conserve Power if/when it gets proliferated? Hrm... tough one. We know the cottage rule is still in effect, so it can't deviate from its original goal too much. If you look at how CP was changed to Energize for the proliferation, it still retains much of its END Discount design. It just cut back some of that and added in the Heal and +Regen.
Since Energy Aura already has a Heal in it, I'd imagine CP in this case would receive the Energize treatment, but would give either a small DEF or RES buff instead of the Heal/+Regen. At least, that's what I'd wish for. -

"Talsorian" was the in-universe name given to the technology (possibly magitech) that made monomolecular energy structures possible.
Out-of-universe, "Talsorian" was an homage/nod to the R. Talsorian games, of which, I believe, Positron is a fan of. -
Quote:The Vanguard, formerly Talsorian, Axe exists already. That would be lame. And yeah seriously, where is the tech axe and the talsorian axe???????? There might be a tech axe but if so its lame cause I don't even recall it, if not we need one, and we definitely need a "talsorian" axe, which if one exists i have yet to see it.
As for a "tech" axe, the Impervium Axe fits nicely, IMO. -
Quote:I don't think this is a bug.A bug I found:
My Shield/Fire tanker ran with his shield behind instead of in front. It looks odd and uncomfortable. (I think it may be the single sword position?) I only had his primary powers toggled on; I didn't have any attacks queued up which I suppose may have changed his stance. After seeing a screenshot earlier in this thread of a Shields Scrapper with the shield in front I was confused and thought I should post here in addition to the bug report filed. Also, he's a regular male body (not huge).
The weapon/shield carrying stance while running is determined by which nodes are being used by a weapon. If only one is in use, it will be carried to the back, not in front. If both are in use, one will be in the front, the other to the back.
Since you Shield/Fire only has one weapon (the shield), he'll carry it to the back. Pulling out one of the Fire Swords may change that, but since those are power effects and not "Custom Weapons," it may not change your character's running stance. -
Q: So, when do we actually get new Costumes?
A: Soon™ -

Rise from your grave!
-
While I've never been a fan of the tar on my feet when near a Dark/ using Shadowfall, not having the debuffs show up on foes affected by Darkest Night (aside from the anchor) is not good.
Hopefully that'll get restored sooner, rather than Soon™. -

Bought and applied!
More costume pieces! LOVE!! I can't wait to try out those gloves and shoulder pieces. Those boots look awesome too!
And Ninja Run might become my favorite travel ever. Can't wait to try it out. -
Quote:I agree. I believe that long PBAoE attack is the 9 mini-nuke. It's long, it's damaging, it's really flashy. All point to being a heavy hitting tool. Also it would continue the trend that Ranged Weapon Sets have mini-nukes as opposed to Nova-esque nukes (AR's Full Auto and Arch's Rain of Arrows). My current hope/speculation is that the PBAoE effect used there is a mini-nuke. It's far too long of an animation to use in regular play. It looks to be somewhere near Total Focus cast time of over three seconds. It looks cool, surely, but if I'm supposed to execute a power like that as my normal attack chain, that'll kinda suck...

Quote:Would you settle for both?I would very much like pistols not using "special ammo" but but still achieving certain control effects with carefully placed shots like some have already suggested.
We've only seen 6-7 of the full 9 powers. And even then things are subject to change. "Special ammo" just happens to be one option available.
Quote:One of my favourite ideas is the one about a single target "nuke". IIRC there were even rumours about the devs planning something like that back when the akimbo pistols powerset was first publicly mentioned by Positron.
Quote:Now the question is, what kind of pistol ammo *besides normal* will i use when it comes out?
Facing Zombies? Swap to Incendiary (Zombies are weak to both Lethal and Fire).
Hellions/Fire Resistant foes got you down? Pop in some Cryo rounds. -
Quote:Knock is a very underestimated mitigation tool, that's for sure. For a while, I used the Kin Combat procs to add KD to my MA/Regen Stalker's attacks that did not already have KB/KD, including Assassin's Strike. The result was a surprising increase in mitigation. Having the KD proc go off on a boss you just AS'd from steath was surprisingly effective, because of the amount of extra damage I could safely deliver while they stood back up. It made most fights much more of a sure thing.
For all the flak it catches, Energy Blast is a very survivable set because of all the knock it's got. If you really think about it, knocking a foe down is pretty much equivalent to a very short (1-2s) mez. And the fun thing about knock is that relatively few foes actively resist it, compared to actual mezzes, that is. -
Quote:Doubtful.wild speculation, we're looking at a costume piece from the next origin pack?
I think there were some reports from Hero-Con where ninjas were mentioned in regards to the next pack. To me, this means it'll be the Natural Booster. And that new armor piece looks neither "Natural" nor "ninja." -
Quote:Close. Archery's "secondary effect" is having extra ACC in its attacks. Even more than other weapon sets.i believe that Archery has a higher to-hit bonus in their powers than other AT's, that'll help some.
Normal ACC is 1.0.
Weapon Set ACC is 1.05.
Archery's is 1.15. -
Posi did say that post level X, Heroes and Villains would be able to go to Praetoria to do the side-swapping.
So while there may be level 50 content available, I think it's unlikely that there will be APPs/PPPs associated with it. -
The debuffs apply to any foe (up to 16) in the AoE every .2s (5 times a second, IOW). These debuffs last half a second and do not self-stack.
IF the foe remains in the AoE, they will be debuffed for a maximum 30.5s.
IF the foe leaves the AoE, they will be debuffed for a maximum half second after they leave the patch.
Quote:Do they have to stay in the patch for those to last reliably?
Quote:Is the chance for kd really as low as CoD lists it (3% chance?)?
Quote:Also, what is the chance of the hold landing?
Quote:How long does that last?
Quote:How important is slotting accuracy in this power?
Quote:Is this power best used when the foes are going to stay in the patch? Or is it just as simple as needing to get more slotting in there? -

OK, I think I understand now. Still having a bit of a mental hangup on it, but that's probably because I'm tired.
