    Inking practice!

    [ QUOTE ]
    [ QUOTE ]
Hey Rowr, I love when people respect the artists' postition. I am going to do a quick pencil sketch just for you to ink and post at will

    [/ QUOTE ]

Know what would be cool? If we put up a number of pencils and inks for people to practice their inking and colors, then others could practice and get feedback. Have an ongoing thread (maybe even a stickied thread).

    Just an idea.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I would love some feedback from the greats. Just like Rowr I'm kinda new at the whole inking and coloring bit. I'm even newer to the drawing stuff.....speaking of I was planning on inking this but you can try to if ya want Rowr.

    My Roxstar sketch.
  2. Oh I want in!!! I must've missed this thread...

    Here's the whole rock family:
    Roxstar
    Tormented Soil
    Lady Comet
    Magma Roc

....and just for fun here's Roxstar in his brand new costume! Sorry I just redid some of the costumes and took new screenies so I had to post them somewhere.
  3. See now this is what I get for playing and not getting on the forums! I've been wanting one of these for a while now of Roxstar! I'm glad someone is offering to do them. Yay, I'm so happy now!!!
  4. Man, very different than most stone builds. First off, Tough and Weave with no end rdx is gonna kill you. They have such little to add to a Stone build that they're really not needed. Granite will cap S/L with 1 RES in Stone Skin so they are not needed at all especially if you aren't going to take any other armors. I'd say to put another end rdx in Mud Pots too once again your end is gonna have problems. Also, if you're going to put that many taunt enh in taunt I'd suggest you take a few slots out of earth's embrace and put them into there for some recharge.

Basically I think you've gone the wrong direction with this build. I understand you want to be simply a defensive build but only granite builds are tough, especially with nothing but one slot in Swift. I'd think it over again.

I just went over everything in this thread, and I have to say that all doubts I may have had about the CoX community are long gone.

The folks here have done an amazing job with the characters, and I want to put it out there that Rox, Daven, Celtic, and Gill have made me want to pick up animating again. Thank you!

    [/ QUOTE ]
Wait.....you made yourself wanna animate. LOL I'm so confused.

You know, for *once* I completely love a piece of design by the devs, and what happens?

    Everyone else hates it.

I like the Patron Powers, I like the reddish electricity, it's cool all around, imho. Sadly, hardly anyone seems to agree.

    [/ QUOTE ]
You know honestly it doesn't bother me either, especially the red electricity (it looks much better than the purple in CoH IMHO). I love the idea behind patron pools too, it really fits the theme of the rogue isles. Now that said, I don't like that I won't ever get a chance to see how all the different sets look on my own. I'll have to roll a whole bunch of 40's to see 'em all which takes quite a while. However I do like that once I pick a different patron power pool with a new character I'll get new mssns and won't be as bored in the 41-50 content as can happen in CoH.
  17. I just really hope that Jamaro, Doug, Manuel & any others I can't think of at the moment don't get in trouble over all this.

    Bodyguard

Okay, so with 3 henchmen, 100 pts of damage gets spread out as though 5 people were hit: 100/5=20. Henches get 20, you take 40.

So if I have 5 henches, the damage gets dropped to 14.20, so the henches takes 14.2 each and you'd take 28.4?

Basically, you've got almost 70% RES to damage, so long as the henches live?

    [/ QUOTE ]

MM ... The new tank. Pluse this 70% res is not a toggle and so takes up no endurance to run. Put together a solid attack chain and your in business

    [/ QUOTE ]
execept the MM has much much lower HP than a tank.

It looks like the devs finally figured out how to count to one.

Single target attacks now hit only one target no matter how many you have stacked.

There might be a bug though. A couple times when I had a few stacked up, it would say "Readying attack", but then nothing. No hit, no miss, no nothing. Cone/AoE attacks worked fine there, but single target wouldn't do anything. I'll have to play with it some more and see what's going on.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think I may cry. I'll have QA test it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Castle, could you please please please have someone take a look at gauntlet. When the AOE bug was on test, I noticed that most of my lower attacks would rarely hit more than one target when they were spaced in a normal spawn (I tested in PP, where the spawns are large, packed groups). Even KO Blow would only hit 2-3 targets in a normal spawn. We were kind of assuming that the AOE bug was related to gauntlet, and that it sort of represented how many targets would be hit with the punchvoke effect in normal circumstances. If that is actually the case, then the radius on gauntlet is way too small and is only really effective if you can stack enemies by corner pulling. Gauntlet also did not appear to be active on any attacks outside of secondary powers, including brawl and tanker APP powers (based on a lack of AOEs from those powers on the bugged test). We've always kind of assumed that guantlet works on any attack from a tanker.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Did we ever test the power pools also? I don't have have test (not enough room on my computer) so I never tested it myself.
